Refletindo sobre essa morte tão precoce trágica para toda a família, me lembrei daquela passagem na bíblia que diz: “Não existe amor maior do que dar a vida por seus amigos.” (João 15:13) e:
“Eu lhes digo a verdade: se o grão de trigo não for plantado na terra e não morrer, ficará só. Sua morte, porém, produzirá muitos novos grãos. Quem ama sua vida neste mundo a perderá. Quem odeia sua vida neste mundo a conservará por toda a eternidade.” (João 12:24-25)
O Gabriel entregou sua vida sem pensar duas vezes. Ele se sacrificou para que outro pudesse viver, como Jesus nos ordenou! Eu creio que ele foi acolhido pelo Pai, que o recebeu com grande alegria!
Ele era um menino incrível e vai deixar boas lembranças e muita saudade! Mas é bom saber que a morte dele não foi em vão!
Que o Senhor console o coração da sua esposa e toda a sua família!

“There is no greater love…”
Hello dear reader!
Today my post is in memory of my cousin Gabriel, who died yesterday, at age of 23.
Reflecting on this premature and so tragic death, for the whole family, I was reminded of that passage in the bible that says: “There is no greater love than to lay down your life for your friends.” (John 15:13) and:
“I tell you the truth: unless a grain of wheat is sown in the ground and dies, it will be alone. But its death will bring forth many new grains. Whoever loves his life in this world will lose it. Whoever hates his life in this world will will keep for all eternity.” (John 12:24-25)
Gabriel gave his life without a second thought. He sacrificed himself so a child could live, as Jesus commanded us to do! I believe he was welcomed by the Father, who received him with a great joy and a warm welcome!
He was an amazing man and He left a lot of good memories. He will be missed! But it’s good to know that his death was not in vain!
May the Lord comfort the heart of his wife and the entire family!
“Today is a day for reflection: we think back on the finished work of the cross and what it means for our lives.
How grateful are we for hindsight! We know that the cross is not the end. Resurrection gets the final word.
But put yourselves in the shoes of Jesus’ disciples.
Imagine leaving everything to follow Jesus.
Imagine seeing countless miracles: the blind see, the deaf hear, and the mute speak.
Imagine watching Jesus ride into Jerusalem on a donkey to thunderous applause. Palm branches are laid before him, as the people cheer, “Hosanna!”
If you were one of his disciples, you would have probably thought this was the moment Jesus would restore the kingdom!
Imagine their horror as they watched Jesus get betrayed, arrested, taken through a mockery of a trial, and humiliated while executed on a wooden cross—like a criminal.
Imagine their dejection and disorientation.
Similarly, we often go through seasons where it feels like God has let us down. We find ourselves shrouded in darkness and despair, wrestling with shattered hopes.
During those long days and nights between the cross and resurrection, we can’t imagine the agonizing confusion Jesus’ disciples endured. If anyone had a reason for a faith crisis, they did!
If you find yourself in a season where you are struggling to hold onto faith, barely clinging to the words God has spoken to you, Good Friday is a reminder that you are not alone.
Whatever present darkness you are walking through, take heart. Your story is not yet finished.
As you struggle forward in the faith, like the great cloud of witnesses who have gone before you, be filled with hope that resurrection is coming!”(by Messengers- John and Lisa Bevere)

“Hoje é um dia de reflexão: pensamos na obra consumada da cruz e no que isso significa para nossas vidas.
Como somos gratos pela retrospectiva! Sabemos que a cruz não é o fim. A ressurreição tem a palavra final.
Mas coloque-se no lugar dos discípulos de Jesus. Imagine deixar tudo para seguir Jesus.
Imagine ver inúmeros milagres: os cegos veem, os surdos ouvem e os mudos falam.
Imagine ver Jesus entrar em Jerusalém montado em um jumento sob aplausos estrondosos. Ramos de palmeiras são colocados diante dele, enquanto o povo aplaude, “Hosana!”
Se você fosse um de seus discípulos, provavelmente pensaria que este era o momento em que Jesus restauraria o reino!
Imagine o horror deles ao verem Jesus ser traído, preso, levado a uma zombaria de um julgamento e humilhado enquanto executado em uma cruz de madeira – como um criminoso.
Imagine seu desânimo e desorientação.
Da mesma forma, muitas vezes passamos por épocas em que parece que Deus nos decepcionou. Encontramo-nos envoltos em escuridão e desespero, lutando com esperanças despedaçadas.
Durante aqueles longos dias e noites entre a cruz e a ressurreição, não podemos imaginar a agonizante confusão que os discípulos de Jesus sofreram. Se alguém tinha uma razão para uma crise de fé, eles tinham!
Se você se encontra em uma época em que está lutando para manter a fé, mal se apegando às palavras que Deus falou com você, a Sexta-feira Santa é um lembrete de que você não está sozinho.
Seja qual for a escuridão atual pela qual você esteja caminhando, tenha coragem. Sua história ainda não terminou.

Today God reminded me of His amazing love for me and all His children!
Do you know that you are deeply and reckless loved? I know that we all already heard that, because it is the central message of Christianity:
“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life.”
However, I think that even we, Christians, don’t deeply understand how amazing and wild is the Love of God for us! His love is active, unstopable, weariless! He goes all the way to reach us! He chase after us after all He already did on the cross!
No matter how crazy and hard life can be, tthe love of God is always available, always willing to heal and change our lives from inside out! God wants to be our partner in life!
He wants to spend time with us. He is longging to hear about our day, good or bad one! He loves to hear our laugh and his is compassionate about our cry! He is never indifferent.
So today I just want to remember you how loved you are! No matter what is going on right now(around or inside of you). Jesus loves you! He is right there, ready to reach you, ready to help and heal you! Keeep that in mind. Always. You are not alone, you are not unworthy of love. He dignifies everyone of us.
HE IS THE PERFECT LOVE!
“Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. Hoje Deus me lembrou de Seu incrível amor por mim e por todos os Seus filhos.
Você sabe que é amado profunda e irremediavelmente? Eu sei que nós já ouvimos isso, porque é a mensagem central do cristianismo:
“Este é o quanto Deus amou o mundo: Ele deu seu Filho, seu único Filho. E por isso: para que ninguém seja destruído; Acreditando nele, qualquer um pode ter uma vida completa e duradoura.”
No entanto, acho que mesmo nós, cristãos, não entendemos tão profundamente o quão incrível e selvagem é o amor de Deus por nós! Seu amor é ativo, imparável, incansável! Ele percorre todo o caminho para nos alcançar! Ele corre atrás de nós depois de tudo que já fez na cuz!
Não importa quão louca e difícil a vida possa ser, o amor de Deus está sempre disponível, sempre disposto a curar e mudar nossas vidas de dentro para fora! Deus quer ser nosso parceiro na vida!
Ele quer passar tempo conosco, Ele está desejando ouvir sobre nosso dia, bom ou ruim! Ele adora ouvir a nossa risada e tem compaixão do nosso choro! Ele nunca está indiferente.
Então, hoje eu só quero te lembrar como você é amado! Não importa o que está acontecendo agora(ao seu redor ou dentro de você). Jesus te ama! Ele está bem ali, pronto para alcançá-lo, pronto para ajudá-lo e curá-lo! Tenha isso em mente. Sempre. Você não está sozinho, você não é indigno de amor. Ele dignifica a todos nós.
ELE É O AMOR PERFEITO!

Hey, my dear reader! How are you doing today? I hope you all are doing very well!
Today I want to share a basic and yet, very deep truth, that blessed me today, during my devotional time, reading Hebrews 6:
“As a priest, Christ made a single sacrifice for sins, and that was it! Then he sat down right beside God and waited for his enemies to cave in. It was a perfect sacrifice by a perfect person to perfect some very imperfect people. By that single offering, he did everything that needed to be done for everyone who takes part in the purifying process.“ Hebrews 10:11-18
Sometimes, as Christians, even knowing that powerful truth, we forget that Jesus already paid the ultimate price for us! His blood covered all our sins, all our past, present and future mistakes. We have free access to His forgiven Love. We have free acces to the Presence of the Father.
Yet, there are some days when we feel crushed by our failures. We feel guilty and unworthy of God’s love and forgiveness. I know I have days like this and, for a moment, I forget that I am a redeemed daughter!
So today, I just want to remind you that, no matter what you’ve done or what you are going through, if you have faith in Jesus, if you acepted His amazing gift of redemption, you have His love and forgiveness! Always and forever!
We don1t have to bown with the heaviness of our mistakes and sins, we are covered by the blood of Jesus! We can choose to open our hearts to Him and be forgiven! That’s good news, friends!
Every time you feel like a complete failure, like you did not reach the target, just surrender all your heart, thoughts and plans to Him! He does not punish us like our sins’d deserve. His love covers a mutitude of sins and cast all the fear!
Like I received, I want to share this amazing thuth with you, from “Ever Present Love” :
“Jesus doesn’t threaten us with punishment. He doesn’t require obedience without the empowering of his love to fuel it. Following his commandments happens when we know the tenderness of the One who has given them to us. His love is the power and source of all we do—even in obedience.”

Ei, caro leitor! Como você está hoje? Espero que todos estejam bem!
Hoje quero compartilhar uma verdade básica e ainda assim muito verdadeira e poderosa, pela qual eu fui abençoada hoje, no meu tempo devocional, lendo Hebreus 6:
“Como sacerdote, Cristo fez um único sacrifício pelos pecados, e estava feito! Em seguida, sentou-se ao lado de Deus e esperou que seus inimigos cedessem. Foi um sacrifício perfeito de uma pessoa perfeita para aperfeiçoar algumas pessoas muito imperfeitas . Com aquela única oferta, ele fez tudo o que precisava ser feito por todos que participam do processo de purificação. “ Hebreus 10: 11-18– A Mensagem
Às vezes, como cristãos, mesmo sabendo dessa verdade libertadora, nós nos esquecemos que Jesus já pagou o preço final por nós! Seu sangue cobriu todos os nossos pecados, todos os nossos erros passados, presentes e futuros. Temos livre acesso ao Seu Amor perdoador. Temos livre acesso à Presença do Pai.
Mesmo assim, há dias em que nos sentimos esmagados pelos nossos fracassos. Sentimo-nos culpados e indignos do amor e do perdão de Deus. Eu sei que tenho dias assim e, por um momento, eu me esqueço de que sou uma filha redimida!
Então hoje, eu só quero lembrá-lo que, não importa o que você fez ou o que você está passando, se você tem fé em Jesus, se você aceitou esse incrível presente da redenção, você tem o Seu amor e Seu perdão! Hoje e sempre!
Não precisamos nos curvar com todo o peso de nossos erros e pecados, estamos cobertos pelo sangue de Jesus! Podemos escolher abrir nossos corações para Ele, nos arrepender e sermos perdoados! Boas notícias, amigos!
Cada vez que você se sentir um fracasso total, como se não tivesse atingido o alvo, apenas entregue todo o seu coração, pensamentos e planos pra Ele! Ele não nos pune como nossos pecados merecem. Seu amor cobre uma multidão de pecados e lança fora todo o medo! O arrependimento nos transforma.
Como eu recebi, quero compartilhar esta incrível verdade com você, de “Ever Present Love” :
“Jesus não nos ameaça com punição. Ele não exige obediência sem a capacitação de seu amor para alimentá-la. Seguir seus mandamentos acontece quando sabemos a ternura dAquele que os deu a nós. Seu amor é o poder e a fonte de tudo o que fazemos, mesmo em obediência. “
“O Espírito Santo também testifica para nós sobre isso. Primeiro, ele diz:
“Esta é a aliança que farei com eles, depois daqueles dias, diz o Senhor. Porei as minhas leis em seu coração e as escreverei em sua mente”;

“If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
“Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.” (John 14:15-17, 21)
Hello dear reader!
Today I want to share this reflection with you, about Jesus’ perspective and definition of Love! (John 14-15)
Jesus was very clear about that with His disciples: “If you love me, you will keep(obey) my commands”. As I said before, love is not a feeling, but rather, a posture, a decision that drives us to ACT. It is not passive. If you want to walk with Jesus and love Him, them you need to walk on His patterns. Not worldly patterns of love.
“Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.“
The real gospel involves obedience and, therefore, a life of self-denial! Jesus continues:
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[a] so that it will be even more fruitful. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.“
Perseverance it’s a key word! Once Jesus revealed the truth of His Word inside of our hearts, we need to remain on it, no matter how challenging it can be (and it will be, believe me!). That means that, despite of all cirscumstances or social pressure of this world, we are encouraged to remain true to the Word and to who we are in Christ. No matter what people may say!
We are called to be light on this world, not to compromise the truth just to please others! We don’t need to impose that, but we do need to live it!
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.“
Only when we keep a close relationship with Jesus, keeping His Words in mind, we are able to change(be transformed by it) and bear good fruits! (love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,gentleness and self-control.). We can’t do it by ourselves. The true transformation of our identity and behavior, comes when we spend time studying the Word of God and listening to the Holy Spirit, that helps us to understand and put all the principles in practice, day after day!
It is a long-term process, we can’t unmask all the wrong beliefs we carry or the way we see life, overnight. We need to be patient and be consistent, persevering in our relationship with God!
“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10 If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.
Love it is a fruit of true and honest relationship with God! He knows our limits and flaws, but He loves us, anyway! That does not mean we don’t need to change and grow. That means that God is always willing to help us! If we choose to practice the principles of His Words, even when it is hard and incovenient, we are able to experience the fruits of the Spirit in our lives.
We learn to love, despite of people’s flaws and mistakes, despite of our own limitations. Love means self-sacrifice, denying our ego and desires in the benefit of others! It is something we can’t do alone. We need God’s help!
“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command.“
When we grow in intimacy with God, we not only change, from inside and out, reaping good fruits in all our relationships, but we are also called friends by Jesus! How amazing is that? That means we have part on His plans, that He reveals secrets in our hearts, tell us inimagible things, encouraging and empowering us to face all the challenges, advacing toward His promises for us.
We become stronger and more confident in the love of Christ! And much less dependent on the opinion and validation of others.
Don’t allow this confusing times to get you out of the way! Remain in Christ! keep His Word and live by it. The truth it is not relative and you are not defined by your feelings or by what people done to you. You are created and loved by Jesus! Remain on this truth and embrace His freedom for your life!

“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the one who sent me.” (John 15:18-21)
Quem tem os meus mandamentos e lhes obedece, esse é o que me ama. Aquele que me ama será amado por meu Pai, e eu também o amarei e me revelarei a ele”. Respondeu Jesus: “Se alguém me ama, obedecerá à minha palavra. Meu Pai o amará, nós viremos a ele e faremos morada nele. Aquele que não me ama não obedece às minhas palavras. Estas palavras que vocês estão ouvindo não são minhas; são de meu Pai que me enviou. “João 14:21, 23-24
O verdadeiro evangelho envolve obediência e, portanto, uma vida de renúncia!
Jesus foi muito claro sobre isso com Seus discípulos: Se você me ama, você guarda (obedece) meus comandos “. Como eu disse antes, o amor não é um sentimento , mas sim uma postura, uma decisão que nos leva a AGIR. Não é algo passivo. Se você quiser andar com Jesus e amá-lo, você precisa seguir os padrões Dele. Não os padrões(de amor) mundanos.
“Eu sou a videira verdadeira e meu Pai é o jardineiro. 2 Ele corta cada galho em mim que não dá frutos , Enquanto cada galho que dá frutos ele poda [ a ] para que seja ainda mais frutífero. 3 Você já está limpo por causa da palavra que falei para você. 4 Permaneça em eu, assim como eu permaneço em você. Nenhum ramo pode dar fruto por si mesmo; deve permanecer na videira. Nem você pode dar fruto a menos que permaneça em mim.”
Permanecer é uma palavra-chave! Uma vez que Jesus revelou a verdade de Sua Palavra dentro de nossos corações, precisamos permanecer nela, não importa quão desafiador possa ser (e será! ). Isso significa que, apesar de todas as circunstâncias ou pressão social deste mundo, somos encorajados a permanecer fiéis à Palavra e a quem somos em Cristo. Não importa o que as pessoas digam!
Somos chamados para ser luz neste mundo, não a comprometer a verdade apenas para agradar aos outros! Não precisamos impô-la, mas precisamos vivê-la!
“ Eu sou a videira; vocês são os ramos. Se você permanecer em mim e eu em você, você dará muito fruto; além de mim você não pode fazer nada.6 Se você não permanece em mim, você é como um galho que é jogado fora e murcha; tais galhos são apanhados, jogados no fogo e queimados. 7 Se você permanecer em mim e minhas palavras permanecerem em você, peça o que quiser e será feito para você. 8 Isto é para a glória de meu Pai, que vocês dêem muito fruto, mostrando-se meus discípulos.
Somente quando mantemos um relacionamento próximo com Jesus, mantendo Suas Palavras em perspectiva, podemos mudar(sermos transformados por Ele) e dar bons frutos! (amor, alegria, paz, tolerância, bondade, bondade, fidelidade, gentileza e autocontrole). Não podemos fazer isso por nós mesmos. A verdadeira transformação da nossa identidade e comportamento, vem quando passamos tempo estudando a Palavra de Deus e ouvindo o Espírito Santo, que nos ajuda a entender e colocar todos os princípios em prática, dia após dia!
É um processo de longo prazo, não podemos desmascarar todas as crenças erradas que carregamos ou a maneira como vemos a vida, da noite pro dia. Precisamos ser pacientes e consistentes em nosso relacionamento com Deus!
“Assim como o Pai me amou, eu também amei você. Agora permaneça no meu amor. Se você obedecer aos meus mandamentos, permanecerá no meu amor, assim como guardei os mandamentos do meu Pai e permaneço no seu amor.11 Eu disse isso a você para que minha alegria esteja em você e que a sua alegria seja completa. 12Meu comando é este: amem-se como eu te amei. Ninguém tem maior amor do que este: dar a vida pelos amigos. Vocês são meus amigos se fizerem o que eu mando.
O amor é fruto de um relacionamento verdadeiro e honesto com Deus! Ele conhece nossos limites e falhas, mas nos ama mesmo assim! Isso não significa que não precisamos mudar e crescer! Isso significa que Deus está sempre disposto a nos ajudar. Se escolhermos praticar os princípios da Sua Palavra, mesmo quando for difícil e inconveniente, seremos capazes de experimentar os frutos do Espírito em nossa vida.
Nós aprendemos a amar, apesar das falhas e erros das pessoas e apesar de nossas próprias limitações. Amor significa auto-sacrifício, negar o nosso ego e desejos em benefício de outros! É algo que não podemos fazer sozinhos. Precisamos da ajuda de Deus!
Quando crescemos na intimidade com Deus, não apenas mudamos de dentro pra fora, colhendo bons frutos em todos os nossos relacionamentos, mas também somos chamados de amigos por Jesus! Isso não é incrível?! Significa que temos parte em Seus planos, que Ele revela segredos aos nossos corações, nos conta coisas inimagináveis, nos encorajando e capacitando para enfrentar todos os desafios! Avançamos em direção às Suas promessas para nós!
Nos Tornamos mais forte e mais confiante no amor de Cristo! E muito menos dependentes da opinião e validação alheia.
Não deixe que esses tempos confusos o tirem do caminho! Permaneça em Cristo! guarde a Sua Palavra e viva por ela. A verdade não é relativa e você não é definido pelos seus sentimentos ou pelo que as pessoas fizeram a você.
Você foi criado, e é amado, por Jesus! Permaneça nesta verdade e abrace a liberdade dEle para a sua vida!

“Se o mundo os odeia, tenham em mente que antes me odiou. Se vocês pertencessem ao mundo, ele os amaria como se fossem dele. Todavia, vocês não são do mundo, mas eu os escolhi, tirando-os do mundo; por isso o mundo os odeia. Lembrem-se das palavras que eu lhes disse: Nenhum escravo é maior do que o seu senhor. Have you ever asked yourself or catch yourself thinking: “Isn’t love a feeling?!”
In times of confusion, relativism and redefinition of truth, I want to bring a reflection about what is LOVE, under bible’s light!
In I Corinthians 13, Paul’s brings to us this reflection about what is love, based on the life that Jesus lived among us:
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
As followers of Christ, we have a model to follow! He gave us a lot of examples of what love is! Not a feeling at all, but instead, a decision! And if I would have to pick just one example of what Jesus did for us to show what is love, I would say: Sacrifice!
The pattern of love outside of Christ says that “love is a feeling that makes you feel good and benefits you somehow” and when this feeling is gone, it’s because “the love is over”. Actually, according to the bible, it’s when the feeling is gone toward another person or when you don’t have any to begin with, that’s when the real love begins! ( Ask anyone who has a long journey as a married person, if love is a “feeling”. I would risk to say that this person would laugh!)
Love is a decision to act on another person’s benefit. It could be a spouse, a son or daughter, parents,friends or even a stranger! It’s when we decide to deny our own will and even our well-being to take care of another person, ensuring their well- being first!
It is not an easy task! We will make a lot of mistakes along the way to learn that! To love another person as God loves you, actually you need to really experience His love for you!
It is easy to say: “God loves me”, but it’s only when we deeply know His love for us, seeing it in our own lives, that we are able to extend this love for another person! I had to find it out in my own life!
I had a hard time trying to love and care about others, when I didn’t even loved myself and I didn’t feel loved as well!
However, when I opened my heart to Jesus and allowed Him to healed me and fill me with His love, my heart started to change toward people. I could feel His love for others and then, I started to change, to care more about people’s needs!
It is a journey, you know. Learn how to love well has ups and downs and, you going to fail sometimes! I still have hard times and selfish moments.
The good news is: His love never fails! He will teach how to love yourself and how to love others in a natural and selfless way!
In the middle of this confused world, that says that everything is “love” accorrding to their definition, be corageuos and decide to swin against the tide! Be bold in love and ask for discerniment and kindness to love well, God can help you!
“Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part,but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears.”
There are a few things that I’ve learned with this whole passage of I Corinthians 13:
-Jesus is the personification of love! Everything He did, said and showed to us, reflects a perfect love, that we are called to imitate!
-Love is not a feeling, it’s a decision translated into ACTION! And we are called to love others as we love ourselves!
-It is essential to experience the love of God! If you never did, ask Him to show you His love for you! Only then you will be able to love others as you supposed to!
-Love never fails! When we love out of this place in Christ, the outcome is always good, even when we can’t realize right away!
-Perfection is only found in Jesus! So when we get out of the way and let Him lead us, our imperfection to love is hidden in His perfection!
-Love is based on TRUTH! While the world says that every sense of love can’t be evil, because “it’s love”, we have a model to follow! We are called to love in His ways, based on His Word!
-Love never gives up! Jesus loves us beyond measure, despite of our sins and flaws! He never gives up on us. He also invites us to never give up on His plans and people!
I hope this post brings to you some clarity and perseverance to love well! Don’t give up, keep trusting Him to show you how!
Você já se perguntou ou já se pegou pensando: “Mas, o amor não é um sentimento?!”
Em tempos de confusão, relativismo e redefinição da verdade, quero trazer uma reflexão sobre o que é AMOR, sob a luz da Bíblia!
Em I Coríntios 13, Paulo nos traz esta reflexão sobre o que é amor, a partir da vida que Jesus viveu entre nós:
“O amor é paciente, o amor é gentil. Não inveja, não se vangloria, não é orgulhoso. Não desonra os outros, não é egoísta, não se irrita facilmente, não mantém um registro de erros. O amor não se deleita com o mal, mas se alegra com a verdade. Ele sempre protege, sempre confia, sempre espera, sempre persevera. “
Como seguidores de Cristo, temos um modelo a seguir! Ele nos deu muitos exemplos do que é o amor! Não é um sentimento, mas sim uma decisão! E se eu tivesse que escolher apenas um exemplo do que Jesus fez por nós para mostrar o que é amor, eu diria: Sacrifício!
O padrão de amor fora de Cristo diz que “o amor é um sentimento que faz você se sentir bem e o beneficia de alguma forma” e quando esse sentimento passa, é porque “o amor acabou”.
Na verdade, de acordo com a bíblia, é quando o sentimento some ou quando você não tem nenhum sentimento para começo de conversa, que começa o verdadeiro amor! (Pergunte a qualquer pessoa que está na longa jornada do casamento, se o amor é um “sentimento”. Eu arriscaria dizer que essa pessoa riria na sua cara!)
O amor é uma decisão de agir em benefício de outra pessoa. Pode ser seu cônjuge, filho ou filha, pais, amigos ou até mesmo um estranho! É quando decidimos negar a nossa própria vontade e até o nosso bem-estar para cuidar de outra pessoa, garantindo primeiro o bem-estar dela!
Não é fácil! Vamos cometer muitos erros ao longo do caminho para aprender isso! Para amar outra pessoa como Deus te ama, na verdade, você precisa realmente experimentar o amor Dele por você!
É fácil dizer: “Deus me ama”, mas é apenas quando conhecemos profundamente Seu amor por nós, vendo isso em nossas próprias vidas, que somos capazes de estender esse amor pra outra pessoa! Tive que descobrir isso na minha própria vida!
Eu tive muita dificuldade tentando amar e cuidar dos outros, quando nem eu mesma me amava e não me sentia amada!
No entanto, quando eu abri meu coração para Jesus e permiti que Ele me curasse e me enchesse com Seu amor, meu coração começou a mudar em relação às pessoas. Pude sentir Seu amor pelos outros e então comecei a agir diferente, a me preocupar mais com as necessidades delas!
É uma jornada, você sabe. Aprender a amar bem tem seus altos e baixos e, você vai falhar às vezes. Eu ainda tenho momentos difíceis, momentos egoístas!
A boa notícia é: Seu amor nunca falha! Ele vai te ensinar como amar a si mesmo e como amar os outros de uma forma natural e altruísta!
No meio desse mundo confuso, que diz que tudo é “amor” segundo sua própria definição, seja corajoso e decida nadar contra a maré! Seja ousado no amor e peça discernimento e bondade para amar bem, Deus quer te ajudar!
“O amor nunca falha. Mas onde há profecias, elas cessarão; onde houver línguas, elas serão acalmadas; onde houver conhecimento, passará. Pois sabemos em parte e profetizamos em parte, mas quando chegar a perfeição, o que é imperfeito desaparecerá.”
Há algumas coisas que aprendi nesta passagem de I Coríntios 13:
– Jesus é a personificação do amor! Tudo o que Ele fez, disse e nos mostrou, reflete um amor perfeito, que somos chamados a imitar!
– O amor não é um sentimento, é uma decisão traduzida em AÇÃO! E somos chamados a amar os outros como amamos a nós mesmos!
– É essencial experimentar o amor de Deus! Se você nunca fez isso, peça a Ele para mostrar Seu amor por você! Só então você será capaz de amar os outros como deveria!
– O amor nunca falha! Quando amamos a partir deste lugar em Cristo, o resultado é sempre bom, mesmo quando não percebemos imediatamente!
– A perfeição só é encontrada em Jesus! Então, quando saímos do caminho e deixamos que Ele nos lidere, nossa imperfeição para amar é encoberta pela perfeição Dele!
– O amor se baseia na VERDADE! Enquanto o mundo diz que qualquer “sentimento de amor” não pode ser mau, porque “é amor”, temos um modelo a seguir! Somos chamados a amar à maneira de Cristo, baseados na Sua Palavra!
– O amor nunca desiste! Jesus nos ama além de qualquer medida, apesar de nossos pecados e falhas! Ele nunca desiste de nós. Ele também nos convida a nunca desistir de Seus planos e das pessoas!
Espero que este post traga para você alguma clareza e perseverança para amar bem! Não desista, continue confiando Nele para te ensinar como!
“And in that day you will say, I will give thanks to You, O Lord; for though You were angry with me, Your anger has turned away, and You comfort me. Behold, God, my salvation! Today is the day we celebrate the day when those who was is the dark saw a great light! Those who were hungry could eat and those who were thirsty could drink, for FREE!
The God who became man and lived among us humblily, died and ressurrected, GLORIOUS!
He taught us the true meaning of Love: He gave His life away! Not only for his friends, but also for those who were enemies!
We did not deserve it but still, He chose to shed His blood for the sake of mankind and, through His death, brought light and HOPE to this fallen world!
Today we praise His ressurection! He was dead and has risen!
Thank you Jesus for your amazing and inimaginable SACRIFICE on the cross! Because through it, we have life and life in abundance! You came so we could have true LIFE and a PEACE that the world does not know. A peace that is not rooted in the circumstances!
Today,and every day, we PRAISE Him: the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE!
We were lost and now we are found. We were broken and He healed us. We were hopeless, hungry, dead inside and He gave us the waters that comes from the streams of life, directly from the Throne of God! Now we have life and a endless hope!
Thank you Jesus! You were always there for us and you are here today!(within us).
You are always available for those who truly SEEK YOU with an open heart!
We praise You Lord! And we shout in joy Your Holy Name!
“Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare. Give ear and come to me; listen, that you may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David!” Isaiah 55
Today I was confronted by a simple but embarrasing TRUTH: God´s love for us!
Despite our mess, Jesus loves us, He REALLY loves us!
Think about it: a God who can do everything, Almighty, who does not need anything, cause He is complete: Father, Son ad Holy Spirit since eternity, decide to create humanity.
He took this decision KNOWING everything ,cause God can´t be surprised. He wrote the whole thing! So, before create man and woman, He seats in family and have a great conversation with them: I´m thinking to write a history, a love history! And Jesus says: yes! I was thiking the same thing, this would be amazing! And Holy Spirit: Sure! I can make some arrangements! And the three, who are one but family at the same time, decided together to create us, with freedom to chose our own path. They, He, knew how the things would happen!
Did you ever stoped to think about it? How God wanted things this way from the beggining: a history about love and sacrifice, the most amazng one.
Sometimes I think that the truth of the cross has becoming too normal in our lives, because we heard it over and over again! It just a distant truth, that sometimes we even did not know if we truly understand and live for it!
We are surrounded by so many informations, tasks, goals that we do not know what that act of sacrifice really means anymore: the truly and deep Love of God for us, His children!
Don´t let this truth become just another one in your life! Consider at least for a moment, everyday in your life, how amazing and unique is the Love of the Father for you!
Think about what Jesus did for us, how He SURRENDED everything, His glory and power, to walk among humanity: seat and talk with us, eat and hear about our pains. Can you realize that?!!
Today I was hit by this truth in a deep way: God loves me, no matter what! He loves us despite our past, our sins and flaws. And we are really blessed just to KNOW THAT! No matter what we are going through, because you know, there are people out there, dying, suffering cause they know nothing about this Love!
A love that restore identity, heal wounds, break chains , forgive the past and already paid for your future mistakes! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?
So, if you really LIVE for this truth , be grateful for your life, be grateful for your struggles, cause you are not alone and everything has a purpose!
And I believe we are part of this purpose: make this love known and real in other peoples lives!
“Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long;we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”[j] No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8-33:39
Hoje eu fui confrontada por uma VERDADE simples, porém constrangedora: o amor de Deus por nós!
Apesar da nossa confusão interna, Jesus nos ama, ele realmente nos ama!
Pense nisso: um Deus que pode tudo, todo-poderoso, que não precisa de nada, porque Ele é completo: Pai, Filho e Espírito Santo desde a eternidade, decide criar a humanidade.
Ele tomou essa decisão CONHECENDO todas as coisas, porque Deus não pode ser surpreendido, Ele escreveu a coisa toda!
Então, antes de criar homem e mulher, Ele senta em família e tem uma ótima conversa com eles: Estou pensando em escrever uma história, uma história de amor! E Jesus diz: sim! Eu estava pensando a mesma coisa, isso seria incrível! E Espírito Santo: Claro! Eu posso fazer alguns arranjos! E os três, que são um, mas família ao mesmo tempo, decidiram juntos criar-nos, com liberdade para escolher nosso próprio caminho. Eles sabiam como as coisas aconteceriam!
Você já parou para pensar sobre isso? Deus queria as coisas assim desde o começo: uma história sobre amor e sacrifício, a mais incrível de todas!
Às vezes, penso que a verdade da cruz se tornou normal demais em nossas vidas, porque a ouvimos repetidas vezes! Tornou-se apenas uma verdade distante, que talvez nem saibamos mais se realmente entendemos e acreditamos a ponto de vivê-la!
Estamos cercados de tantas informações, tarefas e objetivos que não sabemos mais o que esse ato realmente significa: o verdadeiro e profundo Amor de Deus por nós, Seus filhos!
Não deixemos que esta verdade se torne apenas mais uma na nossa vida! Que possamos pelo menos por um momento, todos os dias da nossa vida, refletir sobre quão incrível e único é o Amor do Pai por nós!
Que possamos nos maravilhar com o que Jesus fez por nós. Ele entregou tudo: Sua glória e poder, para andar entre a humanidade: sentar e conversar conosco, comer e ouvir sobre nossas dores. Você consegue imaginar isso? !!
Hoje fui atingida por essa verdade de uma forma especial: Deus me ama, não importa o que aconteça!
Ele nos ama apesar do nosso passado, nossos pecados e falhas. E nós somos realmente abençoados apenas por SABERMOS DISSO! Não importa o que estamos passando, porque a verdade é que há pessoas lá fora, morrendo e sofrendo porque elas não sabem nada sobre esse Amor!
Um amor que restaura a identidade, cura as feridas, quebra as correntes, perdoa o passado e já pagou pelos seus futuros erros! Dá pra acreditar?!
Então, se realmente vivemos por esta verdade, sejamos gratos por nossas vida, por nossas batalhas, porque não estamos sozinhos e tudo cumpre um propósito!
E acredito que fazemos parte desse propósito: tornar esse amor conhecido e real nas vidas de outras pessoas!
“Quem fará alguma acusação contra os escolhidos de Deus? É Deus quem os justifica. Quem os condenará? Foi Cristo Jesus que morreu; e mais, que ressuscitou e está à direita de Deus, e também intercede por nós. Quem nos separará do amor de Cristo? Será tribulação, ou angústia, ou perseguição, ou fome, ou nudez, ou perigo, ou espada? Como está escrito: “Por amor de ti enfrentamos a morte todos os dias; somos considerados como ovelhas destinadas ao matadouro”. Mas, em todas estas coisas somos mais que vencedores, por meio daquele que nos amou. Pois estou convencido de que nem morte nem vida, nem anjos nem demônios, nem o presente nem o futuro, nem quaisquer poderes, nem altura nem profundidade, nem qualquer outra coisa na criação será capaz de nos separar do amor de Deus que está em Cristo Jesus, nosso Senhor.”Romanos 8:33-39
Eu estava aqui passeando por textos do wordpress e me deparei com um texto, na verdade é uma entrevista, sobre uma mulher que costumava ser “cristã”, abandonou sua fé e resolveu escrever um livro de ficção que foi inspirado no que ela chama de “experiências religiosas”.
Lendo a entrevista dessa mulher, fiquei bem tocada com a forma como ela relata sua visão do cristianismo, dizendo que era apaixonada por Deus, mas que com o tempo perdeu sua fé, e mesmo sentindo falta desse tempo, afirmou que nunca poderia voltar a acreditar no que um dia ela acreditou.
Em uma das perguntas da entrevista ela deixa claro que a religião pode se tornar uma coisa perigosa, porque as pessoas fazem o mal achando que estão fazendo o bem (no livro, ela cria um romance entre uma estudante e um fanático religioso, que acaba se revelando um terrorista).
E por fim, ela diz que largou o cristianismo porque, lendo vários livros, ela chegou à conclusão de que havia muitas outras formas de fé, e que era IMPOSSÍVEL que só a dela estivesse certa.
Confesso que ler esse texto me deixou um tanto chateada! Quando se é cristão, você consegue pensar em várias razões para essa mulher ter desistido, afinal, ser cristão não é uma escolha fácil. Mas se você é um cético, ao ler esse relato, provavelmente o pensamento vai ser “mais uma que descobriu que o cristianismo (ou a religião) é uma farsa!”.
Quantas pessoas já se “encantaram” pelo cristianismo e ao longo do caminho, desistiram porque, afinal, não era uma opção que satisfazia todas as suas expectativas?
E, esses dias, eu estava mesmo pensando sobre isso: por que as pessoas se tornam cristãs? E por que algumas abandonam sua fé no meio do caminho, depois de algumas dificuldades?
Eu creio que, muitas pessoas optam por essa “religião” porque buscam uma saída para os seus problemas e frustrações. Mas o que elas não percebem é que, o COMPROMETIMENTO e a CLAREZA do que significa andar com Jesus, são essenciais para que elas permaneçam nesse caminho.
O cristianismo não era pra ser uma religião, porque se fosse, realmente não faria sentido ser o único caminho, existem inúmeras religiões. Mas o cristianismo foi o caminho aberto por Jesus, para reconciliar-nos com Deus, através de um sacrifício de amor, que envolveu seu próprio sangue.
O cristianismo é a revelação do propósito de Deus pra humanidade, a chave que abre a porta estreita. Mas essa porta, poucos conseguem atravessar. A maioria desiste nos primeiros obstáculos dessa trilha desafiadora.
Como eu li no livro O evangelho maltrapilho: “o cristianismo não é flutuar numa nuvem cor-de-rosa de milagres!”
E fazendo um paralelo, eu acho que, o motivo pelo qual as pessoas desistem do cristianismo é o mesmo motivo pelo qual elas desistem do casamento ou de qualquer relacionamento que envolve comprometimento: 1.elas não tem definido um propósito e, 2. elas não calcularam o custo para se atingir esse propósito.
No início de um casamento, assim como no início da caminhada com Jesus, tudo pode parecer lindo e fácil. Você é movido pelas SENSAÇÕES que esse relacionamento te proporciona. Você coloca todas as SUAS expectativas nesse relacionamento, sem fazer algumas perguntas razoáveis.
Só que a sensação inicial passa, os sentimentos mudam e quando as dificuldades começam a aparecer você percebe: você entrou nessa pelos MOTIVOS ERRADOS. E por isso, o que antes parecia tão incrível e interessante, agora já não tem o mesmo efeito sobre você.
Muitas pessoas buscam no cristianismo uma resolução mágica para os seus problemas, serem anestesiadas pelas sensações que certas experiências podem proporcionar ou talvez uma recompensa pela postura “correta” que elas resolvem adotar (por si mesmas). Resumindo: por puro egocentrismo.
Jesus mesmo disse que deveríamos calcular o custo antes de começar, assim como um homem que calcula se terá dinheiro suficiente para terminar a torre que quer construir,antes de começar! Do contrário, desistirá na metade e virará motivo de piada.
E, é exatamente isso que o cristianismo se tornou: motivo de piada e descredibilidade, justamente porque muitos entraram nessa empreitada sem calcular o custo.
O real motivo de entrarmos nesse barco deveria ser Jesus e tudo que ele fez por nós. E se, a vida dele em nenhum momento foi fácil, por que achamos que a nossa será?
A felicidade de nascer de novo e de se tornar quem Deus nos fez pra ser é inimaginável! Assim como saber que um dia estaremos com ele. Mas ninguém disse que seria fácil, muito pelo contrário, Jesus nos avisou: “ quem quiser vir após mim que pegue a sua cruz e siga-me”.
Christianity: faith, religion, purpose and the real cost:
I was looking through some wordpress texts and I came across a text, which is actually an interview, about a woman, a writer, who used to be “Christian”. She abandoned her faith and decided to write a book of fiction that was inspired by what she calls “religious experiences”.
Reading the interview of this woman, I was very touched by the way she reports her vision of Christianity, saying that she was in love with God, but that in some point she lost her faith, and even though she missed it, she said she could never believe again in what one day she believed.
In one of the questions she makes it clear: religion can become a dangerous thing because people do evil things by thinking they are doing good (In the book, she writes a romance between a student and a religious fanatic, who ends up revealing himself as a terrorist).
And finally, she says, she quit Christianity because, after she read several books (she does not specifies which kind of books), she got the conclusion that there were many other forms of faith and that it was IMPOSSIBLE that only hers was right.
I confess that reading this text made me a little upset! When you are a Christian, you can think about some reasons for this woman gave it up, after all, being a Christian is not an easy choice. But if you are a skeptic, reading this kind of thought, you probably will think “one more that has discovered that Christianity (or religion) is a mistake!”.
How many people were already attracted by Christianity and along the way gave up because it was not an option that fulfills their expectations?
And these days I was thinking about it: why do people become Christians? And why do some abandon their faith in the middle of the road, after some difficulties?
I believe that many people choose this “religion” seeking a way out of their problems and frustrations, but what they do not realize is that the COMMITMENT and clarity of what it means to walk with Jesus is essential for them to remain.
Christianity was not supposed to be a religion, because if it were, it really would not make sense to be the only way, there are countless religions. But Christianity is the way opened by Jesus, to reconcile us to God, through a sacrifice of love, by His blood.
Christianuty is the revealing of God´s purpose to humanity, is the key that opens the narrow door. And that’s why few can stay, they misunderstood the real deal! And so they give up in the firsts hurdles of this challenging path.
As I read in the book The Ragamuffin Gospel: “Christianity is not floating in a pink cloud of miracles!”
And in parallel, I think, the reason why people give up on Christianity is the same reason they give up on marriage or any relationship that started with the goal of lasting: 1. they have not defined a purpose and, 2. They did not calculate the cost to achieve this purpose.
At the beginning of a marriage, just as at the beginning of the walk with Jesus, everything can seem beautiful and easy. You are moved by the FEELINGS this relationship gives to you. You put all YOUR expectations into this relationship, without asking enough reasonable questions.
When the good sensations goes away and the feelings changes, when the difficulties begin to appear you realize: you entered into it for the WRONG REASONS and what seemed so incredible and interesting in the beginning, no longer has the same effect on you.
Many people seek Christianity as an escape, a magical resolution to their problems, to feel numbed by the feeling the idea of something new can provide. Resuming: is all about egocentric reasons (like most of relationships that doesn´t last).
Jesus himself said we must calculate the cost of being his follower before we start. Like a man who must calculate if he will have enough money to finish the tower he wants to build, before start it! Otherwise he will quit, leaving the project unfinished and becoming a joke to everyone around.
This is what Christianity has become so many times: a mockery topic of discussion, a joke. Precisely because of those who entered in this endeavor without calculating the cost.
The real reason we should get on this boat is: Jesus and all he did for us. And if his life never was easy, why do we think ours will be?
The happiness of being born again and becoming who God made us to be is unimaginable! As well as knowing that one day we will be with him, but no one said it would be easy, on the opposite, Jesus made it very clear: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”
I was lost. His love found me!
