“I’ve come to knock down walls.
The walls you have built around yourself shall crumble before me. The seemingly impossible situations that have wounded you and caused you to barricade yourself in, are nothing but paper to me. I can easily flick them away, if you’ll invite me. With me, you don’t have to fear being exposed and vulnerable. You don’t have to fear being ashamed or embarrassed.
Though you’ve hidden behind this protective barrier, I desire to draw you out, to make you comfortable in your own skin. I want to teach you how to trust, how to love. I will knock down every wall and set you free. You don’t have to hold it all together. You don’t have to appear to be something you’re not. And you don’t need to protect yourself. Let me protect you. Let me heal you with the holy oil of my presence.
I want you to walk in awareness of my presence, but I also want you to be aware of your own heart. Give yourself time to get to know yourself and to find the greatness of me inside of you. I want you to know the truth that extinguishes fear, to let my glory be your only enclosure.” (Whispers written by Brian Simmons and Gretchen Rodriguez)
Hey friends! Today I decided to share this amazing word with you cause it really talked deeply in my heart when I received it by e-mail!
I can tell that I have always been a person discreet, who did not like to share much about my life and problens. However, since God asked me to write this blog and share my experinces I had to face the fear of being vulnerable!
I did not like the idea of being exposed and judged by my words, but I realized that there is power in my wounds and, what Jesus done in my life, He can also do in yours, even more when I release a testimony of His love and power!
I used to be a person who did not trust anyone and who was always protecting myself from disappointments. However, I have to tell you the truth: It never works! When we build a wall around ourselves to be protected from people, because we were hurted in the past, the only thing we get are loneliness and an insensitive heart!
It is not a easy task to be vulnerable. But the love of God is powerful to turn down our walls and to heal our past wounds! He does this in me till these days and despite of some painful times, it is totally worth to be open for His healing love!
Don’t resist the process that God has for you. I know that is hard and seems pointless sometimes, but He knows best what we need to live a healthy life, a life without walls and full of trust. Only partnership with Jesus can makes us overcome our vulnerabilities’ fears and live a life of real freedom!
Invite Him to your wounded places, to your heart! And watch Him change your whole world, turning your sorrows in happiness and strength!
“The desert and the parched land will be glad;
the wilderness will rejoice and blossom.
Like the crocus, 2 it will burst into bloom;
it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy.
The glory of Lebanon will be given to it,
the splendor of Carmel and Sharon;
they will see the glory of the Lord,
the splendor of our God.
3 Strengthen the feeble hands,
steady the knees that give way;
4 say to those with fearful hearts,
“Be strong, do not fear;
your God will come,
he will come with vengeance;
with divine retribution
he will come to save you.”
5 Then will the eyes of the blind be opened
and the ears of the deaf unstopped.
6 Then will the lame leap like a deer,
and the mute tongue shout for joy.
Water will gush forth in the wilderness
and streams in the desert.” Isaiah 35:1-6
