Joy during trials!

Hey friend!!

Do you know the difference between experiencing joy and feeling happy? In this podcast, my favorite couple of all times, John and Lisa, explain how we can maintain joy during hardship! Because life is full of challenges, right?!

I hope it encourages you to keep believing in what God has promised you, despite of all the circumstances, because that is what means “the godly(or the righteous) will live by faith”.

The bible has a lot of references about keeping the joy of the Lord, no matter what. Be inspired by these verses and use it to fight back discouragement, every time you need it!

“Oh! May the God of green hope fill you up with joy, fill you up with peace, so that your believing lives, filled with the life-giving energy of the Holy Spirit, will brim over with hope! “( Romans 15:13)

“The revelation of God is whole and pulls our lives together. The signposts of God are clear and point out the right road. The life-maps of God are right, showing the way to joy. The directions of God are plain and easy on the eyes. God’s reputation is twenty-four-carat gold, with a lifetime guarantee. The decisions of God are accurate down to the nth degree.” Psalm 19:7-9

River fountains splash joy, cooling God’s city, this sacred haunt of the Most High. God lives here, the streets are safe, God at your service from crack of dawn. Godless nations rant and rave, kings and kingdoms threaten, but Earth does anything he says.Psalm 46:4-6

“You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.” Hebrews 1:9

Restore to me the joy of your salvation
    and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.”(Psalm 51:12)

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” (James 1:2-4)

Let the wind blow…

And you will say in that day,
    “I thank you, God.
You were angry
    but your anger wasn’t forever.
You withdrew your anger
    and moved in and comforted me.

Yes, indeed—God is my salvation.
    I trust, I won’t be afraid.
God—yes God!—is my strength and song,
    best of all, my salvation!”

3-4 Joyfully you’ll pull up buckets of water
    from the wells of salvation.
And as you do it, you’ll say,
    “Give thanks to God.
Call out his name.
    Ask him anything!
Shout to the nations, tell them what he’s done,
    spread the news of his great reputation!

5-6 “Sing praise-songs to God. He’s done it all!
    Let the whole earth know what he’s done!
Raise the roof! Sing your hearts out, O Zion!
    The Greatest lives among you: The Holy of Israel.”

And everythig you’ve lost, Love’s returning!

Naquele dia…

"God is the God of redemption! He changes seasons, He restores the present to bring to us a brand new future! He forgives and renews our hope. In that day we will say..."

Naquele dia, vocês cantarão:
“Eu te louvarei, ó Senhor!
Estavas irado comigo, mas tua ira passou;
agora tu me consolas.
Vejam, Deus veio me salvar;
confiarei nele e não terei medo.
O Senhor Deus é minha força e meu cântico;
ele me deu vitória!”.

3 Com alegria vocês beberão
das fontes da salvação.
Naquele dia, cantarão:
“Deem graças ao Senhor! Louvem seu nome!
Contem aos povos o que ele fez,
anunciem que seu nome é magnífico.
Cantem ao Senhor, pois ele tem feito maravilhas;
tornem seu louvor conhecido em todo o mundo.
Todos os habitantes de Sião celebrem em alta voz,
pois grande é o Santo de Isr
ael que vive em seu meio”.

Joy like an overflowing river!

I’ve loved you the way my Father has loved me. Make yourselves at home in my love. If you remain intimately at home in my love, you’ll keep my commands. That’s what I’ve done—kept my Father’s commands and made myself at home in his love.” (John 15:9-10)

You didn’t choose me, remember; I chose you, and put you in the world to bear fruit, fruit that won’t spoil. As fruit bearers, whatever you ask the Father in relation to me, he gives you.(John 15:16)

 “But remember the root command: Love one another.” (John 15:17)

“When a woman gives birth, she has a hard time, there’s no getting around it. But when the baby is born, there is joy in the birth. This new life in the world wipes out memory of the pain. The sadness you have right now is similar to that pain, but the coming joy is also similar. When I see you again, you’ll be full of joy, and it will be a joy no one can rob from you. You’ll no longer be so full of questions.” (John 16:21-23)

Hey friends!

Today I want to share what I read in my devotional time with you!

What can we take from this amazing affirmations?!

-Jesus has LOVED US first! Before we make a move, before we were even born, through His love we were created to be His and bear good fruit, fulfilling the purpose He has for us! It is not something we achieved by an effort, but a free gift from above!

-He choses us, not the other way around! The only thing we have to do it’s to say YES! Yes to this amazing and transforming love that set us free from all bondage. We are sons and daughters of God, part and representatives of and unshakable kingdom. Halleluiah!

-All the suffering we may face in our lives for a while, can’t be compared to the amazing gifts that Jesus has for us! Nothing that we can ask or imagine can be so good as what God has already set apart for us, His children. We have an eternal gift and that will be revealed not only after this life, but it is being unveiled as we walk with Him, in intimacy!

-All that God asks from us is just to believe! “Just believe what I say to you! Embrace the truth of my promises and remain in my comforting love for you. Only when you remain in Me, you can see the changes you want for your life. I am always faithful for those who remain in my love!

Have a blessed day!

We will see the goodness of the Lord!

It seemed like a dream, too good to be true,
    when God returned Zion’s exiles.
We laughed, we sang,
    we couldn’t believe our good fortune.
We were the talk of the nations—
    “God was wonderful to them!”
God was wonderful to us;
    we are one happy people.

And now, God, do it again—
    bring rains to our drought-stricken lives
So those who planted their crops in despair
    will shout “Yes!” at the harvest,
So those who went off with heavy hearts
    will come hom
e laughing, with armloads of blessing.“(Psalm 126)
