Today I want to share and celebrate a day that was ver important here in Brazil and also for the body of Christ : September 7, the independence day of Brazil!
This year God gave us a direction for this historical day: A day of worship and prayer to honor God and intercede for the church, our families and speciaaly for our nation! And I have to say; It was an amazing and powerful gathering!
We planned 7 hours just to praise God and pray together for the future of the church and the future of Brazil!
This year we have elections for president in october,2 and you probably don’t know that but we are facing political tension and polariztion for a while now, since the goverment changed in 2019 from a progressive goverment to a conservative one!
These past years were very heavy, because the nation is divided. People are spreading hate and fake news more than ever! It has been dark days, but it is not really a surprise right? Because Jesus warned us that it would be like this!
Anyways, the bright side of all this, is that I feel God wakening up His children for the need and importance of intercession and He is also restoring adoration in the way that supposed to be: Focused on Jesus and guided by the Holy Spirit!
We prayed and we sang for Him on this historical and prophetic day, declaring that Jesus is the Lord above every authority that may rule in Brazil in the next 4 years! No matter what are the results, the will of God will prevail over His people and we are called to proclaim His Word, no matter the scenario.
Sure, I’d prefer a scenario more favorable for the church in Brazil than the other, but I also know that God works in chaotic seasons and He uses tension to refine His people, so we can learn to trust Him above politics and anything else! He is faithful ad His plans for us will prevail.
Despite of anything that may happen in these next years, I will continue to declare the favor and the authority of Jesus over my country, because I know He has good plans for this nation and also for all his people around the world!
So this day, I encourage you to keep praying and declaring the Word of God over you, your family and over your nation, because we are called to walk by faith not by sight!

Dia da Independência com adoração e intercessão!
““Naquele dia levantarei a tenda caída de Davi. Consertarei o que estiver quebrado, e restaurarei as suas ruínas. Eu a reerguerei, para que seja como era no passado, 12 para que o meu povo conquiste o remanescente de Edom e todas as nações que me pertencem”, declara o Senhor,[e] que realizará essas coisas.” Amós 9:11-12
Oi amigo, como vai?
Hoje quero compartilhar e celebrar um dia que foi muito importante aqui no Brasil e também para o corpo de Cristo: 7 de setembro, dia da independência do Brasil!
Este ano Deus nos deu uma direção para este dia histórico: Um dia de adoração e oração para honrar a Deus e interceder pela igreja, nossas famílias e especialmente por nossa nação! E eu tenho que dizer: Foi um encontro incrível e poderoso!
Nós, como igreja, planejamos 7 horas só para louvar a Deus e orarmos juntos pelo futuro da igreja e pelo futuro do Brasil!
Este ano , como nós temos eleições para presidente em 2 de outubro, e estamos enfrentando tensão e polarização política há algum tempo, desde que o governo mudou em 2019 de um governo progressista para um conservador, acreditamos, como igreja, que a nossa intercessão era importante e por isso nos reunimos para adorar e proclamar a Palavra sobre o Brasil.
Esses últimos anos foram muito pesados, porque a nação está dividida. As pessoas estão espalhando ódio e notícias falsas mais do que nunca! Tem sido dias sombrios, mas não é realmente uma surpresa, certo? Porque Jesus nos avisou que seria assim!
De qualquer forma, o lado bom de tudo isso, é que eu sinto Deus despertando Seus filhos para a necessidade e importância da intercessão e Ele também está restaurando a adoração da maneira como ela deveria ser: Focada em Jesus e guiada pelo Espírito Santo!
Nós oramos e cantamos para Ele neste dia histórico e profético, declarando que Jesus é o Senhor acima de toda autoridade que possa reinar no Brasil pelos próximos 4 anos! Não importa quais sejam os resultados, a vontade de Deus prevalecerá sobre Seu povo e somos chamados a proclamar Sua Palavra, não importa o cenário.
Claro, eu preferiria um cenário mais favorável para a igreja no Brasil do que o outro, mas também sei que Deus trabalha em épocas caóticas e Ele usa a tensão para refinar Seu povo, para que possamos aprender a confiar Nele acima de política e de qualquer outra coisa ! Ele é fiel e Seus planos para nós prevalecerão.
Apesar de qualquer coisa que possa acontecer nestes próximos anos, continuarei declarando o favor e a autoridade de Jesus sobre meu país, porque sei que Ele tem bons planos para esta nação e também para todo o seu povo ao redor do mundo!
Então, neste dia, eu encorajo você a continuar orando e declarando a Palavra de Deus sobre você, sua família e sua nação, porque somos chamados a andar por fé e não por vista!
Tenham um sábado abençoado amigos! Que o Senhor te encha de esperança e alegria!
“Quando o Senhor trouxe os cativos de volta a Sião, foi como um sonho. 2 Então a nossa boca encheu-se de riso, e a nossa língua de cantos de alegria. Até nas outras nações se dizia: “O Senhor fez coisas grandiosas por este povo”. 3 Sim, coisas grandiosas fez o Senhor por nós, por isso estamos alegres.

If you are not doing so well lately, struggling in your own battles, I hope this post bring you some comfort!
Today I was reflecting about some of my current struggles and wondering: Why do we have, in some seasons of life, the same battle over and over?!
Life is hard, we know. We all have our own issues and we have to figure things out, eventually. But, what I was trying to understand, while I talked with God was: Why this same battle everytime? Can’t you give me something different?! After I asked this dumb question to God, I realized that, it is not so bad that God is giving me the same battles everytime. At least, I am becoming better in trusting Him on this matter, and if I think about it, my battles could be worse. So I stopped complaining.
I immediately remembered this passage, in James 1, that says:
“Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.
5-8 If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get his help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought. People who “worry their prayers” are like wind-whipped waves. Don’t think you’re going to get anything from the Master that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open.“
This passage makes it very clear that we are not suffering in vain! Actually, it is a privilege to suffer under God’s will!! When we choose to live a life that pleases God and we are walking with Him, the tests will come, it is part of the training. God is disciplining us like his true children , so we can be like He is: holy! The good news is that we can always ask for help. He is willing to help us in every situation, we just need to ask in faith!
Nothing that we are going through is without a purpose, God has a plan and a right time for everything! Remember that every time you feel discouraged by the battles you are facing: We are being trained, perfected by the flames of afliction, to be strong and courageous, like God created us to be!
And when we finally overcome the struggle we are facing now, we will be able to help others, encouraging and guiding them into the right direction! The challenges we overcome in every area, gives us the authority to live well and wisely, helping others, who are dealing with the same issues. That’s what we are called to do, as body of Christ!
Hebrews 12:7-8/11:13 says:
“God is educating you; that’s why you must never drop out. He’s treating you as dear children. This trouble you’re in isn’t punishment; it’s training, the normal experience of children. Only irresponsible parents leave children to fend for themselves. Would you prefer an irresponsible God? We respect our own parents for training and not spoiling us, so why not embrace God’s training so we can truly live? While we were children, our parents did what seemed best to them. But God is doing what is best for us, training us to live God’s holy best. At the time, discipline isn’t much fun. It always feels like it’s going against the grain. Later, of course, it pays off big-time, for it’s the well-trained who find themselves mature in their relationship with God.
So don’t sit around on your hands! No more dragging your feet! Clear the path for long-distance runners so no one will trip and fall, so no one will step in a hole and sprain an ankle. Help each other out. And run for it!“
Every time you feel tempted to give up, that you feel overhelmed, just remember and declare this passage over you! God gave us His Word as a sword, we can use it in our battles, fighting back all the pain, disbelief and dispair the enemy wants to throw in our direction! Lift up you shield of faith and keep walking! God has enable us to do it!
I pray this will stengthen your heart and that God will give you the wisdom and faith to overcome your battles, using all the spiritual weapons He already gave us! Don’t lose heart friend, keep fighting, we will get there!

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. “(…) And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” (Ephesians 6:12-18)
Qual é o propósito do sofrimento?!
Ei, amigo! Como você está?
Se você não está indo tão bem ultimamente, lutando suas próprias batalhas, espero que este post lhe traga algum conforto!
Hoje eu estava refletindo sobre algumas das minhas lutas e me perguntando: Por que nós enfrentamos, em algumas épocas da vida, a mesma batalha repetidas vezes?!
A vida é dura, eu sei. Todos nós temos nossos próprios problemas e temos que descobrir como lidar com eles, eventualmente. Mas, o que eu estava tentando entender, enquanto eu conversava com Deus, era: “Por que essa mesma batalha todas as vezes? Você não pode me dar algo diferente?!” Depois que eu fiz essa pergunta idiota a Deus, percebi que não é tão ruim assim o fato de que Deus está me dando as mesmas batalhas, repetidamente. Pelo menos, eu estou me tornando melhor em confiar nEle neste assunto e, se eu pensar bem sobre isso, minhas batalhas poderiam ser piores. Então eu resolvi parar de reclamar.
Imediatamente, eu me lembrei desta passagem, em Tiago 1, que diz:
“Meus irmãos, considerem motivo de grande alegria sempre que passarem por qualquer tipo de provação, 3 pois sabem que, quando sua fé é provada, a perseverança tem a oportunidade de crescer. 4 E é necessário que ela cresça, pois quando estiver plenamente desenvolvida vocês serão maduros[a] e completos, sem que nada lhes falte.
5 Se algum de vocês precisar de sabedoria, peça a nosso Deus generoso, e receberá. Ele não os repreenderá por pedirem. 6 Mas, quando pedirem, façam-no com fé, sem vacilar, pois aquele que duvida é como a onda do mar, empurrada e agitada pelo vento. 7 Ele não deve esperar receber coisa alguma do Senhor, 8 pois tem a mente dividida e é instável em tudo que faz.“
Esta passagem deixa bem claro que não estamos sofrendo em vão! Na verdade, é um privilégio sofrer sob a vontade de Deus!! Quando escolhemos viver uma vida que agrada a Deus e estamos caminhando com Ele, as provas virão, faz parte do treinamento. Deus está nos disciplinando como seus verdadeiros filhos, para que possamos ser como Ele é: santo! A boa notícia é que sempre podemos pedir ajuda. Ele está disposto a nos ajudar em todas as situações, só precisamos pedir com fé!
Nada do que estamos passando é sem propósito, Deus tem um plano e um tempo certo para tudo! Lembre-se disso toda vez que você se sentir desencorajado pelas batalhas que está enfrentando: Estamos sendo treinados, aperfeiçoados pela fornalha da aflição, para sermos fortes e corajosos, como Deus nos criou para ser e isso nos habilita para o nosso futuro!
E quando finalmente superarmos a luta que estamos enfrentando agora, poderemos ajudar os outros, incentivando-os e guiando-os na direção certa! Os desafios que superamos em todas as áreas nos dão autoridade para viver e sabedoria, ajudando outros que estão lidando com os mesmos problemas. É isso que somos chamados a fazer, como corpo de Cristo!
Hebreus 12:7-8/ 11:13 diz:
“Enquanto suportam essa disciplina de Deus, lembrem-se de que ele os trata como filhos. Quem já ouviu falar de um filho que nunca foi disciplinado pelo pai? 8 Se Deus não os disciplina como faz com todos os seus filhos, significa que vocês não são filhos de verdade, mas ilegítimos.”(...) “Nenhuma disciplina é agradável no momento em que é aplicada; ao contrário, é dolorosa. Mais tarde, porém, produz uma colheita de vida justa e de paz para os que assim são corrigidos.12 Portanto, revigorem suas mãos cansadas e seus joelhos enfraquecidos. 13 Façam caminhos retos para seus pés a fim de que os mancos não caiam, mas sejam fortalecido.”
Toda vez que você se sentir tentado a desistir, que você se sentir sobrecarregado, apenas lembre-se e declare esta passagem sobre você! Deus nos deu Sua Palavra como uma espada, podemos usá-la em nossas batalhas, lutando contra toda dor, descrença e desespero que o inimigo quer lançar em nossa direção! Levante seu escudo de fé e continue caminhando! Deus nos capacitou para isso!
Eu oro para que essa palavra fortaleça seu coração e que Deus lhe dê sabedoria e fé para vencer suas batalhas, usando todas as armas espirituais que Ele já te deu! Não perca o ânimo, amigo. Continue lutando, nós chegaremos lá!
12 Pois nós não lutamos[b] contra inimigos de carne e sangue, mas contra governantes e autoridades do mundo invisível, contra grandes poderes neste mundo de trevas e contra espíritos malignos nas esferas celestiais.
13Portanto, vistam toda a armadura de Deus, para que possam resistir ao inimigo no tempo do mal. Então, depois da batalha, vocês continuarão de pé e firmes. 14 Assim, mantenham sua posição, colocando o cinto da verdade e a couraça da justiça. 15 Como calçados, usem a paz das boas-novas, para que estejam inteiramente preparados.[c]16 Em todas as situações, levantem o escudo da fé, para deter as flechas de fogo do maligno. 17 Usem a salvação como capacete e empunhem a espada do Espírito, que é a palavra de Deus.18 Orem no Espírito em todos os momentos e ocasiões. Permaneçam atentos e sejam persistentes em suas orações por todo o povo santo.” (Efésios 6:12-18)
“To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
They answered him, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?”
Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.“
In this pasage, we see that Jesus gives us a KEY to freedom: Remain with the truth, remain on His Words!
In a world sank in relativism, where people encourage us to embrace “our own truth” it is easy to get lost! However, we have a anchor! We can choose to embrace Christ’s direction for us and stay grounded in the truth of God’s Word!
It is not always easy, I know! Our minds will try to trick us, because we grew up hearing a lot of things that misled us!
Embracing freedom it’s a daily process! The truth will sets us free, but we have to choose it every day, step by step, in our commom lives.
I remember a lot of times when I doubted of what God was saying to me, about who I am! I doubted that I was free, brave or strong, because the past experiences told me the opposite!
That’s why we need to say YES to Jesus everyday! When we choose to believe His Words, daily, our minds are renewed by the Word of God. Little by little, the lies are unmasked and we are able to see the truth about God and about ourselves: We are free people, chosen by God, to be His sons and daughters!
No matter what people say about you or about the future: God’s Words remain as a foundational rock. It is settled, yesterday, today and forevermore. We can rest on this truth!
“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.“
You are not a slave of your past anymore. You are not bounded in the labels people put on you. You are a new creature in Christ. You are free through the blood of Christ. Praise the Lord!
Embrace this freedom today and let Jesus change your reality. Step into the reality of God! He has so much more for us, more than anything we could ask or imagine. His plans for us are good and He is holding our lives together!
Choose to believe, even when the circumstances are contrary to the promises. Remain on the truth means that we are going to declare the truth of God over our present and future, no matter how we feel or how things looks like today.
We are called to live not by what we see, but by what God says about us. We are driven by eternity!
Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
“Jesus, help us to embrace your truth today. Open our ears so we can hear Your voice. Open our eyes so we can see your beautiful Presence in our lives! Silence the lies inside our heads, so we can hear your peaceful voice, speaking truth over us! We choose to believe in you today, and everyday! Help us to be consistant in our faith walk, Lord! In Jesus name, amen!”
“Disse Jesus aos judeus que haviam crido nele: “Se vocês permanecerem firmes na minha palavra, verdadeiramente serão meus discípulos. 32 E conhecerão a verdade, e a verdade os libertará”.
33 Eles lhe responderam: “Somos descendentes de Abraão e nunca fomos escravos de ninguém. Como você pode dizer que seremos livres?”
Jesus respondeu: “Digo-lhes a verdade: Todo aquele que vive pecando é escravo do pecado.O escravo não tem lugar permanente na família, mas o filho pertence a ela para sempre. Portanto, se o Filho os libertar, vocês de fato serão livres.”
Nesta passagem, vemos que Jesus nos dá uma CHAVE para a liberdade: Permanecer com a verdade, permanecer na Sua Palavra!
Em um mundo afundado em relativismo, onde as pessoas nos encorajam a abraçar “nossa própria verdade”, é fácil se perder! No entanto, temos uma âncora! Podemos escolher abraçar a direção de Cristo para nós e permanecer firmados na verdade da Sua Palavra!
Nem sempre é fácil, eu sei! Nossas mentes vão tentar nos enganar, porque crescemos ouvindo muitas mentiras!
Abraçar a liberdade é um processo diário! A verdade nos libertará, mas temos que escolhê-la todos os dias, passo a passo, em nossa vida comum.
Lembro-me de muitas vezes em que eu duvidei do que Deus estava dizendo a meu respeito! Eu duvidei que fosse livre, corajosa ou forte, porque as experiências anteriores me diziam o contrário!
É por isso que precisamos dizer SIM a Jesus todos os dias! Quando decidimos crer em Suas Palavras, diariamente, nossas mentes são renovadas pelo declarar da Sua Palavra. Aos poucos, as mentiras são desmascaradas e podemos ver a verdade sobre Deus e sobre nós mesmos: Somos um povo livre, eleito por Deus para ser Seus filhos e filhas!
Não importa o que as pessoas digam sobre nós ou sobre o futuro: As palavras de Deus permanecem como uma rocha fundamental. Está eternamente estabelecida: Ontem, hoje e sempre. Podemos descansar nesta verdade!
“Portanto, se o Filho os libertar, vocês de fato serão livres.”
Você não é mais um escravo do seu passado. Você não está limitado pelos rótulos que as pessoas colocaram em você. Você é uma nova criatura em Cristo. Você foi liberto pelo sangue de Cristo. Glória a Deus por isso!
Abrace esta liberdade hoje e deixe Jesus mudar a sua realidade. Entre na realidade de Deus! Ele tem muito mais para nós, mais do que qualquer coisa que possamos pedir ou imaginar. Seus planos para nós são bons e Ele é quem sustenta as nossas vidas, hoje e sempre!
Escolha acreditar, mesmo quando as circunstâncias forem contrárias às promessas. Permanecer na verdade significa que vamos declarar a verdade de Deus sobre nosso presente e futuro. Não importa como nos sentimos ou como as coisas pareçam hoje.
Somos chamados a viver não pelo que vemos, mas pelo que Deus diz sobre nós. Somos movidos pela eternidade!
“Disse Jesus aos judeus que haviam crido nele: “Se vocês permanecerem firmes na minha palavra, verdadeiramente serão meus discípulos. 32 E conhecerão a verdade, e a verdade os libertará”.
“Jesus, ajude-me a abraçar sua verdade hoje! Abra meus ouvidos para que eu possa ouvir Sua voz. Abra meus olhos para que eu possa ver a sua gloriosa Presença em minha vida! Silencie as mentiras dentro da minha cabeça, para que eu possa ouvir sua voz calma, falando a verdade sobre mim! Eu escolho acreditar em Ti hoje, e todos os dias! Ajude-me a ser consistente na minha caminhada de fé, Senhor! Em teu nome eu oro, amém! “
Today I want to share this prayer to encourage you tp keep dreaming! Always keep in mind and rooted in your heart, that Jesus is the One who enables and strengthen us to do whatever we are called to do! But most important, He is the Love that restores us to be exactly what we are created to be! There is nothing impossible for Him!

Hoje eu quero compartilhar esta oração para te encorajar a continuar sonhando! Lembre-se de que Jesus é Aquele que nos capacita e nos fortalece para fazer tudo o que somos chamados a fazer! Mas o mais importante, Ele é o Amor que nos restaura para sermos exatamente o que fomos criados para ser! Não há nada impossível pra Ele!

Hey friends! How are you doing?
It’s been a while that God is talking to me about a subject that is being neglected and attacked all over the centuries: Family!
Today I was reading a book called “The purpose of the family” (by Luciano Subirá) and I could go deeper in the purpose of God to us as individuals but specially as a family!
Think about it, since the beginning, God created man to live in partnership with the womam and also to develop the first community: The familiy, ruling the world from that!
In every history of the bible we see the care of God with the humankind, always promising to bless not only individually, those who obey and trusts Him, but also the generations to come!
In Genesis 17 wecan see God working through a family covenant!
“When Abram was ninety-nine years old, God showed up and said to him, “I am The Strong God, live entirely before me, live to the hilt! I’ll make a covenant between us and I’ll give you a huge family.”
3-8Overwhelmed, Abram fell flat on his face.
Then God said to him, “This is my covenant with you: You’ll be the father of many nations. Your name will no longer be Abram, but Abraham, meaning that ‘I’m making you the father of many nations.’ I’ll make you a father of fathers—I’ll make nations from you, kings will issue from you.
I am establishing my covenant between me and you, a covenant that includes your descendants, a covenant that goes on and on and on, a covenant that commits me to be your God and the God of your descendants. And I’m giving you and your descendants this land where you’re now just camping, this whole country of Canaan, to own forever. And I’ll be their God.”
Every time that God wanted to bless His sons and daughters, He also extended the blessings and plans to the family! We can see that in Joseph’s life, Obede-Edom, through the lineage of Jesus and so on!
That is not by chance that the secular world wants so bad to weaken and change all the foundations of God’s Word for the family! We can see that through laws that protect and encourage abortion, divorce, obligations toward a “proper education” for our childrem and a lot more!
I think God gaves us a great opportunity during this pandemic scenario to realign our priorities and take more time to take care of our relationships regarding our family! We never have this much time to take care of our children and home, for example.
Most of us, parents, need to outsource the care and education of our children to the state, private schools or another person, for all the time we spend working! Now, we finally have time to think more in our family and in wich level they are in our daily priorities!
A healthy and balanced life involves to put every person and situaton at the right place! According to the bible, we need to put God first in our daily routine, dreams and plans! That is because He is the only one who knows exactly what we need and what is best to our life, present and future!
Our perspective can be blurred thorugh the circunstances, but when we trust in the One who knows the end from the beginning, we can trust that He knows what ways and choices is better for us, in every area!
The second priority should be our family! God created us for this relationship and more important than plans involving job, ministry, education or whatever, is to take care and protect those who live under the same roof as us! It can be parents, spouse, grandparents, children!
It is about time to us to take a break and care (more) about those that really matter to us! God is giving us a unique opportunity to do it in this season!
If you are, somehow, neglecting your role as a mother, father, spouse or son/daughter, this is the time to take a step back and realign your priorities and perspective! Don’t waste your precious time running after the wind, worrying about what does not really matters!
Jesus said that we can’t take back a day of our lives even if we wanted, so we shouldn’t be so worried about the issues of this world! God can and will take care of our daily needs, if we only trust Him and put Him in the right place: In the throne of our hearts!
The third priority, after God and our family, should be work! Everyone needs, after all, a paycheck in the end of the month (or week). This is definitely an important area of our lives and when we give the proper attention to it, no more ,no less, God will bless the effort of our hands!
I don’t know in wich area you may have struggling at the moment but, I can assure you: God is faithful and kind, and He loves to take care of his childrem! He loves family and He want us to have a healthy and blessed one!
If you are going through a battle over that or any other subject, just open your heart to Him! Be completely honest and also, open yourself to hear what He has to say to you! He will help you to go through it, no matter how hard it can be!
When we choose to believe, despite of our circunstances and develop a close relationship with Him, we start to live ABOVE all the chaotic scenario of our lives!
I experienced a lot of miracles and blessings in this past year, but it is not easy to walk by faith to be honest, because miracles come through hardship. It is a choice for the braves!
However, when we choose to be courageous enough to believe His promises and love for us, we can embrace a life that goes beyond this wordly pattern. God wants to break us free of the chains of this worldly mindset.
We are called to live so much more! Be brave and corageous!
No matter how hard your journey can be right now, the only thing you need to do is persevere in faith and trust in the promises God has for you! Feed your mind and heart with His Word and be filled with hope and a renewed strength!
It is time to walk above the chaos and acess all the blessings He has for us, through the most precious relationship we have: Our family!
I challenge you, right now, to give Him praise and be thankful for your family, no matter how messy or broken they might be! God declares a blessing over your family today! Embrace it and be grateful!
“I will sing a new song to you, my God; on the ten-stringed lyre I will make music to you, to the One who gives victory to kings, who delivers his servant David.
From the deadly sword deliver me; rescue me from the hands of foreigners whose mouths are full of lies, whose right hands are deceitful.
Then our sons in their youth will be like well-nurtured plants, and our daughters will be like pillars carved to adorn a palace. Our barns will be filled with every kind of provision. Our sheep will increase by thousands, by tens of thousands in our fields; our oxen will draw heavy loads.[b] There will be no breaching of walls, no going into captivity, no cry of distress in our streets. Já faz um tempo que Deus está falando comigo sobre esse assunto que, embora essencial, tem sido negligenciado e atacado ao longo dos séculos: A família!
Hoje eu estava lendo um livro chamado “O propósito da família” (do Luciano Subirá) e pude me aprofundar no propósito de Deus para nós como indivíduos, mas especialmente como família!
Pense nisso: Desde o início, Deus criou o homem para viver em parceria com a mulher e também para desenvolver a primeira comunidade: A família, governando o mundo a partir dela!
Em cada história da bíblia vemos o cuidado de Deus com a humanidade, sempre prometendo abençoar não só individualmente, aqueles que obedecem e confiam nEle, mas também as gerações futuras!
Em Gênesis 17, podemos ver Deus trabalhando por meio de uma aliança famíliar!
“Quando Abrão estava com 99 anos, o Senhor lhe apareceu e disse: “Eu sou o Deus Todo-poderoso.[a] Seja fiel a mim e tenha uma vida íntegra. 2 Farei uma aliança com você e lhe darei uma descendência incontável”.
3 Ao ouvir essas palavras, Abrão se prostrou com o rosto no chão, e Deus lhe disse: 4 “Esta é a minha aliança com você: farei de você o pai de numerosas nações! 5 Além disso, mudarei seu nome. Você já não será chamado Abrão, mas sim Abraão,[b] pois será o pai de muitas nações. 6 Eu o tornarei extremamente fértil. Seus descendentes formarão muitas nações, e haverá reis entre eles.
7 “Confirmarei a minha aliança com você e seus descendentes, de geração em geração. Esta é a aliança sem fim: serei sempre o seu Deus e o Deus de seus descendentes. 8 Darei a você e a seus descendentes toda a terra de Canaã, onde hoje você vive como estrangeiro. Será propriedade deles para sempre, e eu serei o seu Deus”.
Sempre que Deus queria abençoar Seus filhos e filhas, Ele também estendia as bênçãos e planos para a família! Podemos ver isso na vida de José(do Egito), Obede-Edom, através de toda a linhagem de Jesus e assim por diante!
Não é por acaso que o mundo secular deseja tanto enfraquecer e mudar todos os fundamentos da Palavra de Deus para a família! Podemos ver isso por meio de leis que protegem e incentivam o aborto, o divórcio, nas obrigações de uma “educação adequada” para nossos filhos e assim por diante!
Acho que Deus nos deu uma grande oportunidade durante este cenário de pandemia para realinhar nossas prioridades e dedicar mais tempo para cuidar de nossos relacionamentos em relação à nossa família! Nunca tivemos tanto tempo para cuidar dos nossos filhos e lares como agora.
A maioria de nós, pais, precisamos terceirizar o cuidado e a educação de nossos filhos para o Estado, escolas particulares ou outra pessoa, por causa de todo o tempo que passamos trabalhando! Agora finalmente temos tempo para pensar mais em nossa família e em que nível eles estão em nossas prioridades diárias!
Uma vida saudável e equilibrada envolve colocar cada pessoa e situação no lugar certo! Segundo a bíblia, precisamos colocar Deus em primeiro lugar em nossa rotina diária, sonhos e planos! Isso porque Ele é o único que sabe exatamente o que precisamos e o que é melhor para a nossa vida, presente e futura!
Nossa perspectiva pode ser confundida pelas circunstâncias, mas quando confiamos naquele que conhece o fim desde o início, podemos confiar que Ele sabe quais caminhos e escolhas são melhores para nós, em todas as áreas!
A nosa segunda prioridade deve ser nossa família! Deus nos criou para este relacionamento e mais importante do que planos envolvendo trabalho, ministério, educação ou o que seja, é cuidar e proteger aqueles que vivem sob o mesmo teto que nós! Sejam pais, cônjuge, avós, filhos!
É hora de fazermos uma pausa e nos dedicarmos (mais) àqueles que realmente importam para nós! Deus está nos dando uma oportunidade única de fazer isso nesta temporada!
Se você está, de alguma forma, negligenciando seu papel como mãe, pai, cônjuge ou filho/filha, este é o momento de dar um passo atrás e realinhar suas prioridades e perspectivas! Não perca seu precioso tempo correndo atrás do vento, se preocupando com o que realmente não importa!
Jesus disse que não podemos retomar um dia sequer de nossas vidas, mesmo se quiséssemos, então não devemos nos preocupar tanto com os problemas deste mundo! Deus pode e vai cuidar de nossas necessidades diárias, se apenas confiarmos Nele e colocarmos Ele no lugar certo: No trono dos nossos corações!
A terceira prioridade, depois de Deus e nossa família, deve ser o trabalho! Afinal, todo mundo precisa de um pagamento no final do mês (ou da semana). Esta é definitivamente uma área importante de nossas vidas, que a Palavra de Deus também nos incentiva a cultivar! Quando damos a devida atenção a ela, nem mais, nem menos, Deus abençoará o esforço do nosso trabalho!
Não sei em que área você pode estar lutando no momento, mas posso garantir-lhe: Deus é fiel e bondoso e adora cuidar dos seus filhos! Ele ama a família e quer que tenhamos uma, saudável e abençoada!
Se você está travando uma batalha por causa desse ou de qualquer outro assunto, apenas abra seu coração para Deus! Seja completamente honesto e também, abra-se para ouvir o que Ele tem a lhe dizer! Ele o ajudará a passar por isso, não importa o quão difícil seja!
Quando escolhemos acreditar, apesar das nossas circunstâncias, e desenvolvemos um relacionamento próximo com o nosso Pai, passamos a viver ACIMA de todo o cenário caótico de nossas vidas!
Eu experimentei muitos milagres e bênçãos no ano passado, mas não é fácil andar pela fé, para ser bem honesta, pois eles vêm através das dificuldades. É uma escolha para os fortes!
No entanto, quando decidimos ser corajosos o suficiente para acreditar em Suas promessas e no amor por nós, podemos abraçar uma vida que vai além desse padrão mundano. Deus deseja nos libertar das cadeias dessa mentalidade secular.
Somos chamados para viver muito mais! Seja forte e corajoso!
Não importa o quão difícil possa ser sua jornada agora, a única coisa que você precisa fazer é perseverar na fé e confiar nas promessas que Deus tem para você! Alimente sua mente e coração com a Sua Palavra e se encha de esperança e uma força renovada!
É hora de caminhar acima do caos e acessar todas as bênçãos que Ele tem para nós, por meio do relacionamento mais precioso que Ele nos concedeu: Nossa família!
Eu o desafio hoje a louvar a Deus e ser grato por sua família, não importa o quão complicados e difíceis eles possam ser! Deus declara uma bênção sobre sua família hoje! Abrace-a e seja grato!
“Cantarei a ti, ó Deus, um cântico novo; cantarei louvores a ti com instrumento de dez cordas. 10 Pois tu concedes vitória aos reis; livraste teu servo Davi da espada mortal. 11 Salva-me! Livra-me do poder de meus inimigos. Eles têm a boca cheia de mentiras; juram dizer a verdade, mas mentem.
12Que nossos filhos floresçam na juventude como plantas viçosas. Que nossas filhas sejam como colunas graciosas, esculpidas para enfeitar um palácio. 13 Que nossos celeiros fiquem cheios de colheitas de todo tipo. Que os rebanhos em nossos campos se multipliquem aos milhares, e até às dezenas de milhares, 14 e que nossos bois fiquem carregados de alimentos. Que nenhum inimigo consiga romper nossos muros, que ninguém seja levado ao cativeiro, nem haja gritos de angústia em nossas praças. 15 Como são felizes os que vivem desse modo! Verdadeiramente são felizes aqueles cujo Deus é o Senhor!” (Salmos 144:9-15)
Today I want to make a small “devotional” based on Mathew 22:34-38:
“34 But when the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together. 35 Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying, 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’38 This is the first and great commandment.”
So, every time I read this I take a time to think: What exactly means to love God with all our HEART, MIND and SOUL?
Em Mathew 6:21 Jesus says “1For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
In this passage, Jesus is saying that your priority in life (your “treasures”), what you seek first, that will be what you love most, what fills your HEART!
That also means if you seek God’s plans for your life, if you walk by His will, that is what will fill your heart, because we keep the important things inside it, right? Together with the people we love, our plans and dreams.
The heart of humankind was designed to love God and have a close relationship with Him!
However, since men decided to chose by their own, what is good or evil, our heart started to love things of this world: like our family, our “dream job”, plans for the future,the idea of get married or travel around the world, maybe be a mother or a father, or yet, in the worst cenario, power and money!
It is not a bad thing to have dreams, but when you put God in control of your heart, YOU CAN DREAM WITH HIM, walking together on His purpose!
Loving God with ALL YOUR HEART is surrender everything of your life at His feet, and put Him at the center of everything!
It’s to know, by a closing relationship, that He is GREATER than anything you can desire for your life and that in Him, you are COMPLETE!
It’s to lay down all your time, dreams and plans on Him, trusting that He is always WORKING FOR YOUR GOOD, no matter what happens!
That requests some quality time(with Him), a constant relationship to grow and to trust that He is a GOOD FATHER, that He is working to give you a life that goes beyond everything you could imagine and more than anything you could wish!
Give your heart to Jesus, COMPLETELY, and watch Him change your whole history, day by day!
“I pray that the LOVE of God enter into your heart and make you change the way you see life, your experiences, your journey through it! May the presence of God makes you want Him more than anything, that Jesus become your priority in life and you discover how wonderful is to be His close friend and that you can dream together His dreams for your life, no matter how difficult it can be, sometimes! May your heart be filled with the wild and amazing love of God, everyday! Amen”

Hoje eu quero fazer um pequeno “devocional” baseado em Mateus 22: 34-38
“34 Mas, ouvindo os fariseus que havia silenciado os saduceus, reuniram-se. 35 Então um deles, advogado, fez uma pergunta a Ele, testando-o e dizendo: 36“ Mestre, que é o grande mandamento da lei ?
37 Disse-lhe Jesus: ‘Amarás o Senhor teu Deus com todo o teu coração, com toda a tua alma e com toda a tua mente.’ 38 Este é o primeiro e grande mandamento.”
toda vez que eu leio isso, paro para pensar: O que exatamente significa amar a Deus com todo o nosso CORAÇÃO, MENTE e ALMA?
Em Mateus 6:21, Jesus diz: “Pois onde está o seu tesouro, aí também estará o seu coração”.
Nesta passagem, Jesus está dizendo que, o que for sua prioridade na vida (seus “tesouros”), o que você procura primeiro, será o que você mais ama, o que preencherá seu CORAÇÃO!
Isso significa que: se você busca a vontade de Deus primeiro, se você segue a vontade Dele, é isso que encherá seu coração. Porque mantemos as coisas mais importantes dentro dele, certo? Juntamente com as pessoas que amamos, nossos planos e sonhos.
O coração da humanidade foi projetado para amar a Deus e ter um relacionamento próximo com ele!
No entanto, desde que os homens decidiram escolher por si mesmos, o que é bom ou ruim, nosso coração começou a amar as coisas deste mundo: pode ser nossa família, nosso “emprego dos sonhos”, planos para o futuro, como casar ou viajar o mundo, talvez ser mãe ou pai ou ainda, no pior cenário, amamos e buscamos poder e dinheiro!
Não é uma coisa ruim ter sonhos, mas quando você coloca Deus no controle de seu coração, PODE SONHAR COM ELE, caminhando em direção a Seu propósito!
Amar a Deus com TODO O SEU CORAÇÃO é render tudo da sua vida aos Seus pés, e colocar Ele no centro de tudo!
É saber, por um relacionamento próximo, que Ele é MAIOR do que qualquer coisa que você possa desejar para sua vida e que Nele você é COMPLETO!
É estabelecer todo o seu tempo, sonhos e planos Nele, confiando que Ele está sempre TRABALHANDO PARA O SEU BEM, não importa o que aconteça!
Isso exige algum tempo de qualidade (com Ele), um relacionamento constante para crescer e confiar que Ele é um BOM PAI e que está trabalhando para lhe proporcionar uma vida que vai além de tudo que você possa imaginar e mais do que qualquer coisa que você poderia desejar!
Entregue a Jesus seu coração, COMPLETAMENTE e, observe-o mudar toda a sua história, dia após dia!
“Eu oro para que o AMOR de Deus entre em seu coração e faça você mudar a maneira como vê suas experiências, sua jornada pela vida! Que a presença de Deus faça com que você O queira mais do que tudo, que Jesus se torne sua prioridade na vida, que descubra como é maravilhoso ser Seu amigo íntimo e que vocês possam sonhar juntos os sonhos Dele para a sua vida, não importa o quão difícil seja , às vezes! Que seu coração seja preenchido com o amor selvagem e surpreendente de Deus, todos os dias! Amém”

One of these days, I was watching a amazing testimony at Youtube and the guy said something, kind of obvious, but that we usually do not realize, and it’s really powerful: “When God says something over you, this is already true!” Think about it!
When we start to walk with Jesus, in some moment, we will receive a word from God, a promise over our lives. But then, what we do about it? I don’t know about you, but I usually think that is something for the future, not for the present, so I wait!
The testimony of this guy really touched me because, he started to act imediatelly after he received a word over his life! He started to walk on faith, trusting what God said over his life was already a reality. How amazing is that?
I think that, like me, most of people who received a word, a promise over their lives, usually thinks that is something for the future, something that will “magically” happen and so they don’t need to act intentionally, to this become real.
So today, I wanna encourage you (and myself): Let’s be more intentional over God’s words! We need to walk on faith and do what it is possible, letting only the impossible things with Him!
God wants sons and daughters with attitude and courage. He calls us to be brave and take some risks!
Think about Moses, when he was standing in front of the Red sea and ask God for help, God answered him (with His incredible sense of humor lol): “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on. Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground. ” (Exodus 14:15-16)
He give us power to do the supernatural, but only after we act on the natural way, trusting Him to do everything else we can´t! This is trust, something we need to achieve through faith!
I know, TRUST is a hard process. However, as christians, is something we have to overcome on our walk with God. This will not happen day over night, it take a while untill we became more mature but, we need to take some action to deveolp this spiritual maturity!
In times of trouble and doubts, always remember what Jesus said about the Holy Spirit , our conselour “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— The Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. ” John 14: 15-17
I hope this reflection help you to think about what you are doing (or must do) to achieve the promises of God in your life! “Be Strong and take heart“, we are not alone!
Um dia desses eu estava assistindo um testemunho incrível no Youtube e, o cara disse algo meio óbvio, mas que normalmente não percebemos, e que é realmente poderoso: “Quando Deus diz algo sobre você, isso já é verdade!”. Pense nisso!
Quando começamos a andar com Jesus, em algum momento das nossas vidas, receberemos uma palavra de Deus, uma promessa. Mas daí, o que fazemos com isso? Eu não sei você, mas eu geralmente penso que a palavra é algo para o futuro, não para o presente, então eu espero!
O testemunho desse cara realmente me tocou porque, ele começou a agir imediatamente depois de ter recebido uma palavra sobre sua vida! Ele começou a andar na fé, confiando que, o que Deus disse sobre sua vida já era uma realidade. Quão incrível é isso?
Eu acho que, como eu, a maioria das pessoas que recebem uma palavra, uma promessa sobre suas vidas, pensam que é algo para o futuro, algo que acontecerá “magicamente” e, por isso, não precisam agir intencionalmente para que se torne real.
Então hoje, eu quero encorajar você (e a mim mesma): vamos ser mais intencionais sobre as palavras de Deus! Precisamos andar na fé e fazer o que for possível, deixando apenas as coisas impossíveis para Ele!
Deus quer filhos e filhas com atitude e coragem. Ele nos chama para sermos corajosos e para assumir riscos!
Pense em Moisés, quando ele estava em pé em frente ao mar Vermelho, e pedia a ajuda de Deus, Ele lhe respondeu (com um incrível senso de humor, rs): “ Por que você está clamando a mim? Diga aos israelitas para seguir em frente. Levante o cajado e estenda a mão sobre o mar para dividir a água de modo que os israelitas possam atravessar o mar em terra seca. “(Êxodo 14: 15-16)
Deus nos dá poder para fazer o sobrenatural, mas só depois de agirmos de maneira natural, confiando nEle para fazer tudo o que não podemos! Isso é confiança, algo que precisamos alcançar através da fé!
Eu sei que a CONFIANÇA é um processo difícil. No entanto, como cristãos, é algo que temos que superar em nossa caminhada com Deus. Isso não vai acontecer de um dia para o outro, demora um pouco até ficarmos mais maduros, mas precisamos tomar algumas atitudes para desenvolver essa maturidade espiritual!
Em tempos de angústia e dúvidas, lembre-se sempre do que Jesus disse sobre o Espírito Santo, o nosso conselheiro:
“E eu pedirei ao Pai, e ele lhe dará outro advogado para ajudá-lo e estar com você para sempre. Espírito da verdade O mundo não pode aceitá-lo, porque não o vê nem o conhece, mas você o conhece, pois ele vive com você e estará em você. “João 14: 15-17
Espero que esta reflexão ajude você a pensar sobre o que você está fazendo (ou deveria fazer), para alcançar as promessas de Deus em sua vida! ” Seja forte e corajoso “, não estamos sozinhos!
Eu estava aqui passeando por textos do wordpress e me deparei com um texto, na verdade é uma entrevista, sobre uma mulher que costumava ser “cristã”, abandonou sua fé e resolveu escrever um livro de ficção que foi inspirado no que ela chama de “experiências religiosas”.
Lendo a entrevista dessa mulher, fiquei bem tocada com a forma como ela relata sua visão do cristianismo, dizendo que era apaixonada por Deus, mas que com o tempo perdeu sua fé, e mesmo sentindo falta desse tempo, afirmou que nunca poderia voltar a acreditar no que um dia ela acreditou.
Em uma das perguntas da entrevista ela deixa claro que a religião pode se tornar uma coisa perigosa, porque as pessoas fazem o mal achando que estão fazendo o bem (no livro, ela cria um romance entre uma estudante e um fanático religioso, que acaba se revelando um terrorista).
E por fim, ela diz que largou o cristianismo porque, lendo vários livros, ela chegou à conclusão de que havia muitas outras formas de fé, e que era IMPOSSÍVEL que só a dela estivesse certa.
Confesso que ler esse texto me deixou um tanto chateada! Quando se é cristão, você consegue pensar em várias razões para essa mulher ter desistido, afinal, ser cristão não é uma escolha fácil. Mas se você é um cético, ao ler esse relato, provavelmente o pensamento vai ser “mais uma que descobriu que o cristianismo (ou a religião) é uma farsa!”.
Quantas pessoas já se “encantaram” pelo cristianismo e ao longo do caminho, desistiram porque, afinal, não era uma opção que satisfazia todas as suas expectativas?
E, esses dias, eu estava mesmo pensando sobre isso: por que as pessoas se tornam cristãs? E por que algumas abandonam sua fé no meio do caminho, depois de algumas dificuldades?
Eu creio que, muitas pessoas optam por essa “religião” porque buscam uma saída para os seus problemas e frustrações. Mas o que elas não percebem é que, o COMPROMETIMENTO e a CLAREZA do que significa andar com Jesus, são essenciais para que elas permaneçam nesse caminho.
O cristianismo não era pra ser uma religião, porque se fosse, realmente não faria sentido ser o único caminho, existem inúmeras religiões. Mas o cristianismo foi o caminho aberto por Jesus, para reconciliar-nos com Deus, através de um sacrifício de amor, que envolveu seu próprio sangue.
O cristianismo é a revelação do propósito de Deus pra humanidade, a chave que abre a porta estreita. Mas essa porta, poucos conseguem atravessar. A maioria desiste nos primeiros obstáculos dessa trilha desafiadora.
Como eu li no livro O evangelho maltrapilho: “o cristianismo não é flutuar numa nuvem cor-de-rosa de milagres!”
E fazendo um paralelo, eu acho que, o motivo pelo qual as pessoas desistem do cristianismo é o mesmo motivo pelo qual elas desistem do casamento ou de qualquer relacionamento que envolve comprometimento: 1.elas não tem definido um propósito e, 2. elas não calcularam o custo para se atingir esse propósito.
No início de um casamento, assim como no início da caminhada com Jesus, tudo pode parecer lindo e fácil. Você é movido pelas SENSAÇÕES que esse relacionamento te proporciona. Você coloca todas as SUAS expectativas nesse relacionamento, sem fazer algumas perguntas razoáveis.
Só que a sensação inicial passa, os sentimentos mudam e quando as dificuldades começam a aparecer você percebe: você entrou nessa pelos MOTIVOS ERRADOS. E por isso, o que antes parecia tão incrível e interessante, agora já não tem o mesmo efeito sobre você.
Muitas pessoas buscam no cristianismo uma resolução mágica para os seus problemas, serem anestesiadas pelas sensações que certas experiências podem proporcionar ou talvez uma recompensa pela postura “correta” que elas resolvem adotar (por si mesmas). Resumindo: por puro egocentrismo.
Jesus mesmo disse que deveríamos calcular o custo antes de começar, assim como um homem que calcula se terá dinheiro suficiente para terminar a torre que quer construir,antes de começar! Do contrário, desistirá na metade e virará motivo de piada.
E, é exatamente isso que o cristianismo se tornou: motivo de piada e descredibilidade, justamente porque muitos entraram nessa empreitada sem calcular o custo.
O real motivo de entrarmos nesse barco deveria ser Jesus e tudo que ele fez por nós. E se, a vida dele em nenhum momento foi fácil, por que achamos que a nossa será?
A felicidade de nascer de novo e de se tornar quem Deus nos fez pra ser é inimaginável! Assim como saber que um dia estaremos com ele. Mas ninguém disse que seria fácil, muito pelo contrário, Jesus nos avisou: “ quem quiser vir após mim que pegue a sua cruz e siga-me”.
Christianity: faith, religion, purpose and the real cost:
I was looking through some wordpress texts and I came across a text, which is actually an interview, about a woman, a writer, who used to be “Christian”. She abandoned her faith and decided to write a book of fiction that was inspired by what she calls “religious experiences”.
Reading the interview of this woman, I was very touched by the way she reports her vision of Christianity, saying that she was in love with God, but that in some point she lost her faith, and even though she missed it, she said she could never believe again in what one day she believed.
In one of the questions she makes it clear: religion can become a dangerous thing because people do evil things by thinking they are doing good (In the book, she writes a romance between a student and a religious fanatic, who ends up revealing himself as a terrorist).
And finally, she says, she quit Christianity because, after she read several books (she does not specifies which kind of books), she got the conclusion that there were many other forms of faith and that it was IMPOSSIBLE that only hers was right.
I confess that reading this text made me a little upset! When you are a Christian, you can think about some reasons for this woman gave it up, after all, being a Christian is not an easy choice. But if you are a skeptic, reading this kind of thought, you probably will think “one more that has discovered that Christianity (or religion) is a mistake!”.
How many people were already attracted by Christianity and along the way gave up because it was not an option that fulfills their expectations?
And these days I was thinking about it: why do people become Christians? And why do some abandon their faith in the middle of the road, after some difficulties?
I believe that many people choose this “religion” seeking a way out of their problems and frustrations, but what they do not realize is that the COMMITMENT and clarity of what it means to walk with Jesus is essential for them to remain.
Christianity was not supposed to be a religion, because if it were, it really would not make sense to be the only way, there are countless religions. But Christianity is the way opened by Jesus, to reconcile us to God, through a sacrifice of love, by His blood.
Christianuty is the revealing of God´s purpose to humanity, is the key that opens the narrow door. And that’s why few can stay, they misunderstood the real deal! And so they give up in the firsts hurdles of this challenging path.
As I read in the book The Ragamuffin Gospel: “Christianity is not floating in a pink cloud of miracles!”
And in parallel, I think, the reason why people give up on Christianity is the same reason they give up on marriage or any relationship that started with the goal of lasting: 1. they have not defined a purpose and, 2. They did not calculate the cost to achieve this purpose.
At the beginning of a marriage, just as at the beginning of the walk with Jesus, everything can seem beautiful and easy. You are moved by the FEELINGS this relationship gives to you. You put all YOUR expectations into this relationship, without asking enough reasonable questions.
When the good sensations goes away and the feelings changes, when the difficulties begin to appear you realize: you entered into it for the WRONG REASONS and what seemed so incredible and interesting in the beginning, no longer has the same effect on you.
Many people seek Christianity as an escape, a magical resolution to their problems, to feel numbed by the feeling the idea of something new can provide. Resuming: is all about egocentric reasons (like most of relationships that doesn´t last).
Jesus himself said we must calculate the cost of being his follower before we start. Like a man who must calculate if he will have enough money to finish the tower he wants to build, before start it! Otherwise he will quit, leaving the project unfinished and becoming a joke to everyone around.
This is what Christianity has become so many times: a mockery topic of discussion, a joke. Precisely because of those who entered in this endeavor without calculating the cost.
The real reason we should get on this boat is: Jesus and all he did for us. And if his life never was easy, why do we think ours will be?
The happiness of being born again and becoming who God made us to be is unimaginable! As well as knowing that one day we will be with him, but no one said it would be easy, on the opposite, Jesus made it very clear: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”
I was lost. His love found me!
