Dear generation, I know this present time can feel overhelming! We are all so fed up with a variety of informations, opinions, teories and conspiracy. There are so many roads that we don’t know wich way to go. Are you tired?!
Are you sick of living a purposeless, empty life? Are you tired of being labeled? People say that you are giving up. That fear and anxiety are overtaking you, that you are the most confused and unsatisfied generation of all. How long you are going to put up with this?
Can you hear a voice inside of you, calling you to more? Insisting that you were born to live a meaninful life? You can choose to surrender to despair and just give up or you can fight and believe there is more on the other side of this wall of bad news and anger!
Are you ready to give up of everything you thought you knew, to step into something greater? That requires boldness and courage! But this is the time to risk everything that seems “secure” to enter in the amazing unknown, that can lead you to where you always wanted to go!
Dear generation, it is not the end yet. You can say yes to a new path, a new way of thinking and living that is completely counter-cultural. You can choose to rebel against this fallen system.
Isn’t that what the younger generations always wanted to do?!
You can decide to live the best of times or keep drowning in the worst of it. You are called to a life of surrender, where we can undress ourselves of every burden, masks and every lie, to be what you were creted to be: Sons and daughters of Light, embassadors of the Truth.
Dear generation, you are called for more!
Don’t be afraid! All you have to do is to embrace a simple YES, that will change your history forever. Leave behind the old and the known to step into something new and greater than anything you could ever dream of!
You were created and called for a life of adventure!
“Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You’re not in the driver’s seat; I am. Don’t run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I’ll show you how. Self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to finding yourself, your true self. What kind of deal is it to get everything you want but lose yourself? What could you ever trade your soul for?Don’t be in such a hurry to go into business for yourself. Before you know it the Son of Man will arrive with all the splendor of his Father, accompanied by an army of angels. You’ll get everything you have coming to you, a personal gift. This isn’t pie in the sky by and by. Some of you standing here are going to see it take place, see the Son of Man in kingdom glory.”
If you’ve ever felt frustrated about some promise, goal or dream that you are hoping for but it’s taking too long to happen, this is for you!
This passage brings to my heart a mixed feeling of hope and dispair! I have to be honest.
Hope because if God is saying to me that He is in control, He is the one driving my life, not me, that means that everything will end up well. He will lead me in the right direction, I am not alone and I can’t be lost! Good news, right?!
On the other hand, there are a few “problens” with the reality of God being in control: First, things are not going to happen like I want them to happen, and if you are a control freak like I am, you know what I mean!
Second, God’s ways are definitely the best, but He never said EASY. Like Jesus made very clear in this passage: Self- sacrifice is the way to find ourselves and He expects that we EMBRACE the suffering instead of running away from it! Not so good when we look from this perspective, isn’t it?
Waiting on the Lord it’s not always easy and definitely not confortable, but if you are, like me, hoping in Him for all the promises that He has for you life, you can take some lessons from this passage of Mathew 16:
–If you want to follow Jesus, you have to let Him lead, no matter how uncertain it can look like! The better way to trust Him with all your heart is to invest, daily, in a real and close relationship with Him. When you know Him and experience His faithfulness in your life, it’s easier to trust!
When experiencing fear and doubt, bring to your mind everything that Jesus already did for you! Not only the amazing gift of freedom through the cross,that brought you into life, but also all the personal things that He accomplished in your life!
–Self-help is not help at all! When we try to do ad fix things in our own way and strength, we can feel frustrated very often, first because life is really hard to do it alone, and second, because we are imperfect and people around us are imperfect, so we can’t put our expectations on them, we can only put our HOPE on the One who has everything under control. Ask Him for help, and He will show you the way!
-Self-sacrifice is the way to find our true selves: I think this is the most challenge one, right? No one in their right mind would like to embrace suffering by choice. However, it is in hard times that we find out what we are capable of, and most important, what the power of Jesus is capable of, acting whitin us and through us! How many times you thought you couldn’t do or overcome something, but somehow God showed you the way and you did it?! It is encouraging!
Honestly, I hate to get out of my confort zone and try new things, or make risked moves, but it’s when I do that, trusting in God’s ways for me, that I grow stronger and more confident in His love for me!
-Don’t be in a hurry to do business for yourself! Another challenge for me. First, because I hate to wait and second I don’t like to depend on others to do things! I had to go through a very slowly and hard process to learn to be patient and to be vulnerable. God taught me that was ok to ask for help, to show my weaknesses and share my burdens, because I’ve always hated to feel weak! (I am finally learning…)
If there is something really important that I ‘ve learned in the last few years of my life, is that God is not in a hurry, He is in the control of time, so I shoudn’t be in a hurry as well!
Even though I feel frustrated sometimes, because things are taking too long to happen, I know that He is preparing me, cleaning my heart and building my character, so I can receive the best gifts He has for me and live His plans for my life!
Like Jesus said: “What kind of deal is it to get everything you want but lose yourself? What could you ever trade your soul for?” God always know when we are ready or not, and He wants us ready to receive, without losing ourselves!
To finish, I just want to encourage you, and myself, reafirming this promise: “This isn’t pie in the sky by and by. Some of you standing here are going to see it take place, see the Son of Man in kingdom glory.”
If you have a promise so amazing that seems impossible, remember that God is the God of the impossible! His Word never comes back empty, but instead, fullfill the purpose for what it was sent for!
He will do what He has promised to you, stay still and trust His timing!
“Father, I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word. Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you.For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me. I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours!
My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message,that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world!” ( Jesus prayer, John 17)

“Qualquer pessoa que queira vir comigo tem que me deixar liderar. Você não está no assento do motorista; Eu estou. Não fuja do sofrimento; abrace-o. Siga-me e eu mostrarei como. Autoajuda não ajuda em nada. Auto sacrifício é o caminho, meu caminho, para encontrar a si mesmo, seu verdadeiro eu. Que tipo de negócio é conseguir tudo o que você quer, mas se perder? Por que você trocaria sua alma? Não tenha tanta pressa em abrir um negócio por conta própria. Antes que você perceba, o Filho do Homem chegará com todo o esplendor de seu Pai, acompanhado por um exército de anjos. Você receberá tudo o que tenho para oferecer, um presente pessoal. Essa não é uma promessa vazia. Alguns de vocês aqui vão ver isso acontecer, ver o Filho do Homem na glória do reino.”
Se você já se sentiu frustrado com alguma promessa, objetivo ou sonho que esperava, mas que está demorando muito para acontecer, isso é para você!
Esta passagem traz ao meu coração um sentimento misto de esperança e desespero! Pra ser bem honesta! rs
Esperança, porque se Deus está me dizendo que está no controle, é Ele quem está dirigindo minha vida, não eu, e isso significa que tudo vai acabar bem. Ele vai me levar na direção certa. Eu não estou sozinha e não posso estar perdida! Boas notícias, certo?
Por outro lado, existem alguns “problemas” com a realidade de Deus estar no controle: Primeiro, as coisas não vão acontecer como eu quero que aconteçam, e se você é um maníaco por controle como eu, sabe o que eu quero dizer!
Em segundo lugar, os caminhos de Deus são definitivamente os melhores, mas Ele nunca disse FÁCIL. Como Jesus deixou bem claro nesta passagem: Auto sacrifício é o caminho para nos encontrarmos e Ele espera que ABRACEMOS o sofrimento em vez de fugir dele! Não é tão bom quando olhamos dessa perspectiva, não é?
Esperar no Senhor nem sempre é fácil e definitivamente não é confortável, mas se você, como eu, espera Nele por todas as promessas que Ele tem para a sua vida, você pode tirar algumas lições dessa passagem de Mateus 16:
– Se você deseja seguir Jesus, deve deixá-Lo liderar, não importa o quão incerto possa parecer! A melhor maneira de confiar nEle de todo o coração é investir, diariamente, em um relacionamento real e próximo com Ele. Quando você O conhece e experimenta Sua fidelidade em sua vida, é mais fácil confiar!
Ao sentir medo e dúvida, lembre-se de tudo o que Jesus já fez por você! Não apenas o incrível dom da liberdade por meio da cruz, que trouxe você à vida, mas também todas as coisas pessoais que Ele realizou exclusivamente pra você!
– Autoajuda não ajuda em nada! Quando tentamos fazer algo ou consertar as coisas do nosso próprio jeito e com a nossa própria força, podemos nos sentir constantemente frustrados! Primeiro porque a vida é realmente difícil de enfrentar sozinho, e segundo, porque somos imperfeitos e as pessoas ao nosso redor são imperfeitas, então não podemos colocar nossas expectativas nelas, só podemos colocar nossa ESPERANÇA naquele que tem tudo sob controle. Peça ajuda a Ele e Ele lhe mostrará o caminho!
-O auto sacrifício é a maneira de encontrar nosso verdadeiro eu: Eu acho que este é o maior desafio, certo? Ninguém em sã consciência gostaria de abraçar o sofrimento por escolha própria. Porém, é nos tempos difíceis que descobrimos do que somos capazes e, o mais importante, do que o poder de Jesus é capaz, atuando em nós e por meio de nós! Quantas vezes você pensou que não conseguiria fazer ou superar algo, mas de alguma forma Deus lhe mostrou o caminho e você conseguiu?! Isso é muito encorajador!
Honestamente, eu odeio sair da minha zona de conforto e tentar coisas novas ou fazer movimentos arriscados, mas é quando eu faço isso, confiando nos caminhos de Deus para mim, que eu me torno mais forte e mais confiante em Seu amor por mim!
-Não tenha pressa em fazer as coisas! Outro desafio para mim. Primeiro, porque eu odeio esperar e, segundo, não gosto de depender dos outros para fazer as coisas! Tive de passar por um processo muito lento e difícil para aprender a ser paciente e vulnerável. Deus me ensinou que não há problema em pedir ajuda, mostrar minhas fraquezas e compartilhar meus fardos! No fundo, eu sempre odiei me sentir fraca! (Estou finalmente aprendendo…rs)
Se há algo realmente importante que aprendi nos últimos anos de minha vida, é que Deus não está com pressa, Ele está no controle do tempo, então eu não devo ter pressa também!
Embora, muitas vezes eu me sinta frustrada, porque as coisas estão demorando muito para acontecer, eu sei que Ele está me preparando, limpando meu coração e construindo meu caráter, para que eu possa receber os melhores presentes que Ele tem para mim e viver Seus planos para minha vida!
Como Jesus disse: “ Que tipo de negócio é conseguir tudo o que você quer, mas se perder? Pelo que você poderia trocar sua alma?” Deus sempre sabe quando estamos prontos ou não, e Ele nos quer prontos para receber, sem nos perdermos!
Para terminar, só quero encorajar você, e a mim mesma, reafirmando esta passagem: “Essa não é uma promessa vazia. Alguns de vocês aqui vão ver isso acontecer, ver o Filho do Homem na glória do reino.”
Se você tem uma promessa tão incrível que parece impossível, lembre-se de que Deus é o Deus do impossível! Sua Palavra nunca volta vazia, mas antes, cumpre o propósito para o qual foi enviada!
Ele fará o que prometeu a você, fique em posição e confie no Seu tempo!
“Pai, eu o revelei àqueles a quem você me deu do mundo. Eles eram seus; você os deu a eu e eles obedeceram a sua palavra. Agora eles sabem que tudo o que você me deu vem de você. Pois eu lhes dei as palavras que você me deu e eles as aceitaram. sabia com certeza que eu vim de você, e eles acreditaram que você me enviou. Eu oro por eles. Eu não estou orando pelo mundo, mas por aqueles que você me deu, porque eles são seus!
Minha oração não é apenas para eles. Oro também por aqueles que acreditarão em mim por meio de sua mensagem, que todos eles sejam um, Pai, assim como você está em mim e eu estou em você. Que eles também estejam em nós para que o mundo possa acreditar que você me enviou. Eu dei a eles a glória que você me deu, para que eles sejam um como nós somos um— Eu em eles e você em mim – para que eles possam ser trazidos à unidade completa . Então o mundo saberá que você me enviou e os amou, assim como você me amou.Pai,quero que aqueles que você me deu estejam comigo onde estou e vejam minha glória, a glória que você me deu porque me amou antes da criação do mundo!” (Oração de Jesus, João 17)
