Have you ever asked yourself if you are living and experiencing the very best thing life has to offer?!
Life is not always pleasing or easy, it is true. That’s why there are moments in life when we question ourselves: Am I living the life I supposed to live?! Is that everything or there is more? It is normal to question ourselves and reflect about what it means to live a life with purpose and joy.
In Mathew 5:13-16, Jesus says:
“Let me tell you why you are here. You’re here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavors of this earth. If you lose your saltiness, how will people taste godliness? You’ve lost your usefulness and will end up in the garbage.
“Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.“
Here we see a glimpse of our true purpose on this Earth: We are here to reveal God’s colors and flavors to the world, not only reveal, but also to experience and preserve it, in it’s fulness. How amazing is that?!
When we surrender our lives to Jesus and we receive the Holy Spirit in us, it is like an awakening! We start to see and realize that everything God did and created has a purpose in our lives, we have free access to a new reality, the original plan of God for mankind! We don’t need to live a limited life, in God you and I, are a new creation and this partnership with the Holy Spirit takes us to a new level of perception and freedom!
We are here to show that to others! To preserve the essence of God, all His goodness and faithfulness; through our relationship with others, through everything we say and do. We are the light-beares, those who will say to people walking lost in the darkness: “Hey, this is the way, come here!”
We are those who will show what it means to have a healthy identity, a healthy family and relationships. Because we are not relying on human patterns, we are not seeking for approoval or recognition. We know who we are in Christ, and that is enough! Our house were built on a firm foundation.
However, it is ok to feel that we are not living our best in some seasons, all of us struggle sometimes. The difference between us and those who are living in darkness, is that we are not meant to give up, we will not be destroyed by bad circumstances, the puropose of our lives will prevail, because the One who is truth and light, live inside of us and helps us in everything we need!
Remember: You are here to experience and to point out the truth colors and essence of God! You are an embassador of Christ, a light stand on a hilltop, so let he shine through you!
We are here “to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavors of this earth.” and people around us are expectant for it, even when they don’t realize what they are lookinf for. You can be the person who will show them the way, that will offer this amazing free ticket to a feast on God’s royal table.
And when things in our lives are not going so great as we expected, let’s remember Jesus’ encouragement to all of us, His followers:
“You’re blessed when you’re at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and his rule.
“You’re blessed when you feel you’ve lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you.
“You’re blessed when you’re content with just who you are—no more, no less. That’s the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can’t be bought.
“You’re blessed when you’ve worked up a good appetite for God. He’s food and drink in the best meal you’ll ever eat.
“You’re blessed when you care. At the moment of being ‘care-full,’ you find yourselves cared for.
“You’re blessed when you get your inside world—your mind and heart—put right. Then you can see God in the outside world.
“You’re blessed when you can show people how to cooperate instead of compete or fight. That’s when you discover who you really are, and your place in God’s family.
“You’re blessed when your commitment to God provokes persecution. The persecution drives you even deeper into God’s kingdom.
“Not only that—count yourselves blessed every time people put you down or throw you out or speak lies about you to discredit me. What it means is that the truth is too close for comfort and they are uncomfortable. You can be glad when that happens—give a cheer, even!—for though they don’t like it, I do! And all heaven applauds. And know that you are in good company. My prophets and witnesses have always gotten into this kind of trouble.” Mathew 5:3-12
Você já se perguntou se está vivendo e experimentando o melhor que a vida tem a oferecer?!
A vida nem sempre é agradável ou fácil, é verdade. É por isso que existem momentos na vida em que nos questionamos: Será que estou vivendo a vida que eu deveria viver?! Isso é tudo ou tem mais? É normal nos questionarmos e refletirmos sobre o que significa viver uma vida com propósito e alegria.
Em Mateus 5:13-16, Jesus diz:
“Deixe-me dizer por que você está aqui. Você está aqui para ser o tempero do sal que traz à tona os sabores divinos desta terra. Se você perder o seu sabor salgado, como as pessoas sentirão o sabor da divindade? Você perdeu sua utilidade e acabará no lixo.
“Aqui está outra maneira de colocar isso: você está aqui para ser luz, revelando as cores de Deus ao mundo. Deus não é um segredo a ser guardado. Vamos tornar isso público, tão público quanto uma cidade em uma colina. Se eu fizer de vocês portadores de luz, vocês não acham que vou escondê-los debaixo de um balde, acham? Estou colocando você em um suporte de luz. Agora que coloquei você lá no topo de uma colina, em um suporte de luz – brilhe! Mantenha a casa aberta; sejam generosos com suas vidas. Ao se abrir para os outros, você vai levar as pessoas a se abrirem com Deus, este generoso Pai do céu”.
Aqui temos um vislumbre de nosso verdadeiro propósito nesta Terra: Estamos aqui para revelar as cores e sabores de Deus ao mundo, não apenas revelar, mas também experimentá-los e preservá-los em sua plenitude. Quão incrível é isso?
Quando entregamos nossas vidas a Jesus e recebemos o Espírito Santo em nós, é como despertar! Passamos a ver e perceber que tudo o que Deus fez e criou tem um propósito em nossas vidas, temos livre acesso a uma nova realidade, o plano original de Deus para a humanidade! Não precisamos viver uma vida limitada. Em Deus você é uma nova criação e essa parceria com o Espírito Santo te leva a um novo patamar de percepção e liberdade!
Estamos aqui para mostrar isso aos outros! Preservar a essência de Deus, toda a Sua bondade e fidelidade, através do nosso relacionamento com os outros, através de tudo o que dizemos e fazemos. Nós somos os portadores da luz, aqueles que dirão para as pessoas que caminham perdidas na escuridão: “Ei, este é o caminho, venha cá!”
Somos nós que mostraremos o que significa ter uma identidade saudável, uma família e relacionamentos saudáveis. Como não dependemos de padrões humanos, não buscamos aprovação ou reconhecimento dos outros. Sabemos quem nós somos em Cristo, e isso basta! Nossa casa foi construída sobre um alicerce firme.
No entanto, é normal sentir que não estamos vivendo o nosso melhor em algumas temporadas, todos nós temos lutas e dificuldades. A diferença entre nós e aqueles que vivem nas trevas é que não fomos feitos pra desistir, não seremos destruídos pelas más circunstâncias, o propósito de nossas vidas prevalecerá! Pois Aquele que é a verdade e a luz mora dentro de nós e nos ajuda em tudo que precisamos!
Lembre-se: você está aqui para experimentar e apontar as verdadeiras cores e a essência de Deus! Você é um embaixador de Cristo, uma luz no topo de uma colina, então deixe que Ele brilhe através de você!
Estamos aqui “para ser o sal que traz à tona os sabores divinos desta terra”. e as pessoas ao nosso redor estão ansiosas por isso, mesmo quando não percebem o que estão procurando. Você pode ser a pessoa que lhes mostrará o caminho, que oferecerá este incrível e gratuito convite para um banquete na mesa real de Deus.
E quando as coisas em nossas vidas não estiverem indo tão bem quanto esperávamos, vamos nos lembrar do encorajamento de Jesus a todos nós, Seus seguidores:
“Você é abençoado quando está no fim de sua corda. Com menos de você, há mais de Deus e seu governo.“
“Você é abençoado quando sente que perdeu o que é mais querido para você. Só então você pode ser abraçado por Aquele que lhe é mais querido.
“Você é abençoado quando está contente com quem você é – nem mais, nem menos. Esse é o momento em que você se vê como orgulhoso proprietário de tudo o que não pode ser comprado.
“Você é abençoado quando desenvolve um bom apetite por Deus. Ele é comida e bebida na melhor refeição que você já comeu.
“Você é abençoado quando se importa. No momento de ser ‘cuidadoso’ para com o outro, você se vê cuidado.
“Você é abençoado quando consegue acertar seu mundo interior – sua mente e coração. Então você pode ver Deus no mundo exterior.
“Você é abençoado quando pode mostrar às pessoas como cooperar em vez de competir ou lutar. É quando você descobre quem você realmente é e seu lugar na família de Deus.
“Você é abençoado quando seu compromisso com Deus provoca perseguição. A perseguição leva você ainda mais fundo no reino de Deus.
“Não apenas isso – considerem-se abençoados toda vez que as pessoas os rebaixam ou os expulsam ou falam mentiras sobre vocês para me desacreditar. O que isso significa é que a verdade está muito próxima para o conforto e eles estão desconfortáveis. Você pode ficar feliz quando isso acontecer – até mesmo aplaudir! – pois embora eles não gostem, eu gosto! E todo o céu aplaude. E saiba que você está em boa companhia. Meus profetas e testemunhas sempre se meteram nesse tipo de problema.” Mateus 5:3-12

Hello dear reader, how are you doing?
Have you been tired lately? Have you ever question yourself from what do you need some rest?
As for me, I can say that some times I need rest from technology, between other things. Considering that I work all day in front of a computer and on the top of that, mostly of my communication, payments and other little things I do is based on technology( usually my cellphone), I am very aware that I need a break from all of that. I usually do that in my lunch time.
I just seat under a tree and rest for a while, breathing the fresh air, enjoying the sound of nature, slowing down my thoughts, it is very restoring. However, if I can be honest, I’d really enjoy a longer períod of time without any technoloy, a retreat in some place surrounded by nature and silence.
Sometimes, I also need a break from my routine, my hurry schedule and from people. Do you feel this need? It is good to be intentional with this kind of rest, even though it is not so easy to embrace this opportunity, mosthly because we have obligations, like work and family dutties.
Despite of that, I encourage you to take it, even if it is a short break in your busy day. A time to take a deep breath and put aside every worried thought and hurry you may have. Rest is indispensable for our minds and souls.
We are living in “rush” times. We go through the day running, feeding our minds with a variety of information, including useless kind of information, that we could avoid. However, in order to do that, we need to focus our attention on what really matters, doing one thing at the time, trying our best to rest our worried minds every moment we can. Difficult task, let’s be honest, but not impossible.
God also encourages us to do not neglect our time of rest. He left this example to us when He took a rest after the creation of the world, in the seventh day. God does not get tired, He did not need a break. However , He did that to show us how important it is to take a time to ourselves, a time to stop everything we are doing or just done, to aprreciate the moment, to comtemplate the beauty of His work, and take a rest of ours.
Today, I just want to encourage you to be intentional with your time and priorities: From what do you need some rest? Do it now. If you can’t right now, at least try to do it today. Take some time to rest in the company of Your Father. He is waiting to have a quality time with you.
God always gives rest to those who seek Him,

“Então Deus abençoou o sétimo dia e o santificou, porque nele Deus descansou de toda a sua obra que havia feito na criação.” Gênesis 2:3
Olá querido leitor, como vai você?
Você tem se cansado ultimamente? Você já se questionou sobre do que precisa descansar?
Quanto a mim, posso dizer que preciso descansar da tecnologia em alguns momentos, entre outras coisas. Considerando que trabalho o dia todo na frente de um computador e ainda por cima, a utilizo para comunicação, pagamentos e outras pequenas coisas que faço (geralmente meu celular), eu estou muito ciente de que preciso de um descanso. E eu costumo fazer isso na hora do almoço: Uma pausa de tudo.
Eu apenas me sento debaixo de uma árvore e descanso um pouco, respirando o ar puro, curtindo o som da natureza, acalmando meus pensamentos; é muito restaurador. Mas, para ser sincera, eu realmente gostaria de um período de tempo mais longo sem nenhuma tecnologia, um retiro em algum lugar cercado por natureza e silêncio.
Às vezes, eu também preciso de uma folga da minha rotina, da minha agenda corrida e das pessoas. Você sente essa necessidade?! É bom ser intencional com esse tipo de descanso, embora não seja tão fácil abraçar essa oportunidade, pois temos obrigações, como trabalho e deveres familiares.
Apesar disso, eu encorajo você a fazer isso, mesmo que seja uma pequena pausa em seu dia agitado. Um momento para respirar fundo e deixar de lado todos os pensamentos preocupados e apressados que você possa ter. O descanso é indispensável para nossas mentes e almas, pra nossa saúde de forma geral.
Estamos vivendo em tempos de muita pressa. Passamos o dia correndo, alimentando nossas mentes com uma variedade de informações, inclusive informações inúteis, que poderíamos evitar. Porém, para fazer isso, precisamos focar nossa atenção no que realmente importa, fazendo uma coisa de cada vez, tentando ao máximo descansar nossas mentes preocupadas sempre que possível. Tarefa difícil, mas não impossível.
Deus também nos encoraja a não negligenciar nosso tempo de descanso. Ele nos deixou esse exemplo quando descansou após a criação do mundo, no sétimo dia. Deus não se cansa, Ele não precisava de descanso. No entanto, Ele fez isso para nos mostrar o quanto é importante tirar um tempo para nós mesmos, um tempo para parar tudo o que estamos fazendo ou acabamos de fazer, para apreciar o momento, contemplar a beleza de Sua obra, e descansar um pouco da nossa.
Hoje, quero apenas encorajá-lo a ser intencional com seu tempo e prioridades: Do que você precisa descansar? Faça isso agora. Se você não pode agora, pelo menos tente fazê-lo hoje. Tire algum tempo para descansar na companhia de Seu Pai. Ele está esperando para ter um tempo de qualidade com você.
Deus sempre dá descanso aos que o buscam,

Today I want to share 5 relaxing activities that became a habit for me. I do it every time I need a moment for myself! A moment to have fun and also to relax. Maybe some of it inspire you to try as well!
I think it is very important to our mental and physical health to enjoy ourselves in some quality time, specially if you are doing it alone. Healthy solitude it is a important aspect that we should develop in our lives, even more in these crazy times we are living in, where sanity has became a rare and precious gift.
The first one I do for almost two years now and I started when I was working in “home office”, because I used to feel much pain in my back and neck:
1.Yoga: Maybe you have the wrong idea about yoga(that it is too hard, too crazy or “too spiritual”), but I have to say, practicing yoga was a life changing for me! It is relaxing and everyone can try it, you just need to adjust it to your level of flexibility and body/medical conditions. Through yoga, you can learn to respect your own limitations and also how to make a slow(but consistant) progress!
I have to say that, during these few years I am practicing yoga, my balance, strength and resistance improved drastically. Not only that, but after just a few weeks practicing, I could see the change is those aspects and it also helped a lot with my neck pain and with the fact I work seated most of the day, even now.
However, just to be clear, I don’t agree with or practice yoga meditation, I don’t believe in Chakras or anything like that, it is not something I would encourage. I just enjoy the physical aspect of yoga, as an exercise.
2. Spending some time in the nature!
I don’t know if you are this kind of person, but I love to spend time in open spaces, surrounded by nature. Lucky me, I work in a university where there are a lot of places where I can seat, relax, and just appreciate fresh air, the song of the birds, surrounded by trees! And I do it every lunch time.
It is amazing how this kind of enviroment have a calming effect on me, and probably in most people. Nature has a special power to lift the weight we may be carrying in our soul, dissolve a stressful day in a moment of peace, connect us with God. I just love it, you should try!
3. Read a good book!
Ok, I know that not everyone is a book lover and the concept of “good” can be relative, but books are a great way to travel to somewhere else, without leaving the room! I love to read several types of books, specially those with a good adventure story, with strong characters! The last one I read, one of my favorites until now, is called “Olam chronicles”, the background seems inspired by “Lord of the Rings”, but even better!
I also love to read the Bible! Not only because I am a Christian, but also because it have great stories, like David’s! It is full of ups and downs and it is so human and also so powerful. It shows us how humanity can connect with God. The fact is that I loved it since the first moment I gave my life to Jesus. Every day God shows me something new or make something pop’s up in His Word, that I can relate to my own situation, it is amazing. I definetely recommend it.
4. Watch a movie/ TV show with someone you love!
I love to watch series with my daughter. This is our relaxing moment together! We enjoy to watch movies or series in our free time. Our favorite show at the moment is “This is Us” a family drama that will touch your heart, really good! We also enjoy to read the Bible together, it is not only fun but necessary to our family basis and relationship. If you are a Christian, you should do it for and with your kids!
5. Dance!
I love to dance by myseelf, specially because I don’t consider myself a good dancer haha. I just enjoy to go crazy in my living room listening to some music I love. It is very liberating when you can dance by yourself, no one is watching,and you can just be free, be yourself. I think it is not only physical, it is a mental healthy way to let all your worries and stress go away. Do it every time you can!

Hoje, eu quero compartilhar 5 atividades relaxantes( e divertidas) que se tornaram um hábito na minha vida. Faço isso sempre que preciso descontrair, tirar um tempo pra mim! Talvez alguns deles inspirem você a tentar também!
Acho muito importante para nossa saúde mental e física nos divertirmos, ter um tempo de qualidade, principalmente se estivermos fazendo isso sozinhos. A “solidão saudável” é um aspecto importante que devemos desenvolver na nossa vida, ainda mais nestes tempos loucos que vivemos. Onde a sanidade tem se tornado cada vez mais rara e preciosa.
A primeira atividade, eu já faço há quase dois anos e comecei quando trabalhava “home office”, pois sentia muitas dores no pescoço e nas costas:
1.Yoga: Talvez você tenha uma ideia errada sobre ioga (que é muito difícil, muito louco ou “muito espiritual”), mas devo dizer que os exercícios de ioga mudaram minha vida! É relaxante e todos podem experimentar, basta ajustá-la ao seu nível de flexibilidade e condições corporais e /ou médicas. Através do yoga, você aprende a respeitar suas próprias limitações e também a como fazer um progresso lento (mas consistente)!
Devo dizer que, nesses poucos anos que pratico yoga, meu equilíbrio, força e resistência melhoraram drasticamente. Depois de algumas semanas praticando, eu já pude ver a mudança nesses aspectos e também ajudou muito com as dores no pescoço e com o fato de eu trabalhar sentada a maior parte do dia, mesmo agora.
No entanto, só para esclarecer, eu não concordo ou pratico meditação “iogi”, não acredito em “chakras” nem nada parecido, também não encorajo esse caminho. Eu apenas gosto do aspecto físico da ioga, como um exercício.
2.Passar algum tempo na natureza!
Não sei se você é esse tipo de pessoa, mas eu adoro passar o tempo em espaços abertos, rodeada pela natureza. Para minha sorte, eu trabalho em uma universidade onde há muitos lugares assim, onde eu posso sentar, relaxar e apenas apreciar o ar fresco, o canto dos pássaros, cercada por árvores! E eu faço isso todo almoço.
É incrível como esse tipo de ambiente tem um efeito calmante em mim e provavelmente na maioria das pessoas. A natureza tem um poder especial de levantar o peso que possamos estar carregando, dissolver um dia estressante em um momento de paz, nos conectar com Deus. Eu simplesmente amo esses momentos, você deveria experimentar!
3.Leia um bom livro!
Ok, eu sei que nem todo mundo é um amante de livros e o conceito de “bom” pode ser relativo, mas os livros são uma ótima maneira de viajar para outro lugar, sem deixar o ambiente físico! Adoro ler vários tipos de livros, principalmente aqueles com uma boa história de aventura, com personagens fortes!
O último que li desse tipo, um dos meus favoritos até agora, se chama “Crônicas de Olam”, a ambientação parece inspirada no Senhor dos Anéis, mas ainda melhor !
Eu também amo ler a Bíblia! Não só porque sou cristã, mas também porque tem grandes histórias, como a de Davi! Ela é cheia de altos e baixos e é tão humano e ao mesmo tempo tão poderoso, nos mostra como a humanidade pode se conectar com Deus. De fato, eu que amei a Bíblia desde o primeiro momento em que entreguei minha vida a Jesus. Todos os dias Deus me mostra algo novo ou destaca algo que eu posso relacionar com a minha própria situação, é incrível. Eu definitivamente recomendo.
4.Assistir a um filme/programa de TV com alguém que você ama!
Eu amo assistir series com a minha filha. Esse é o nosso momento relaxante juntas! Gostamos de assistir filmes ou séries nas horas vagas. Nossa favorita no momento é “This is Us”, um drama familiar que vai tocar seu coração, muito bom! Também gostamos de ler a Bíblia juntas, é divertido e edificante pra nossa relação familiar. Se você é cristão, deve fazê-lo por e com seus filhos!
Dançar!
Eu amo dançar sozinha! Até porque não me considero uma boa dançarina, haha. Eu só gosto de “enlouquecer” na minha sala ouvindo uma música que eu amo. É muito libertador quando você pode dançar sozinho, ninguém está olhando, e você pode ser livre, ser você mesmo. Eu acho que não é apenas físico, é uma maneira mentalmente saudável de deixar todas as suas preocupações e estresse irem embora. Faça isso sempre que puder!

Acepting the suggestion from WordPress for today’s topic(‘cause sometimes, ideas runs off), I want to share with you some thoughts about what I’ve learned, in this journey called life, about LOVE.
Well, I have to divide this answer in two parts because, untill my 30″s I thought love was a overrated word and to be honest, I didn’t believed in love. The fact is I were not, in several levels in my life, experiencing love. But there was a reason for that: I was hurt and I lived many years running away from people and opportunities to experience love and to show love. I was so traumatized that I’d prefer to hide.
According to the merriam-webster, some definitons of love are:
1.Astrong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties;
2.Attraction based on sexual desire : affection and tenderness felt by lovers;
3.Affection based on admiration, benevolence, or common interests;
4. An assurance of affection.
Let me clarify something, before I continue: I don’t believe anymore in this narrative that “love is a feeling” that changes our lives for a while and, eventually, runs off, making us start all over again, trying to reach just a glimpse of what it really means. That is basically what most people says about love, right? That you need to find it, in someone or something, but you need to be aware that it could end at any moment and, it’s up to you to keep looking for it, into the next person or opportunity.
This kind of conception never really worked in my life. I was not only hurt, I was living a selfish life, because I was trying to protect myself from more disappointments. Most of all, I din’t believe I could change. I was living in survival mode and when you’re living like this, you can’t see anything beyond your pain and own necessities, even this misconcepted way of love would not work for me. I felt nothing.
However, when things got really unbeareble in my life, I decided to look inside to try to figure out what was wrong with me, I knew the problem was in, not out. At that moment of deep dispair, I remembered something I’d listen over and over during my childhood and early teenagers days: There was a redemptive kind of love.
I was so at the end of my rope that I decided to give it a shot, so I said: “Ok God, if you are there, somewhere beyond, if you really see me here, please do something, I need your help. I don’t know what to do anymore”. It was a desperate prayer, I didn’t know if it would work, but I remembered God was an “option” and what the people in church used to say about Christ, what he did for me, so I had to try.
Long story short, that prayer really started to change my life. From that day on, God rescued me from that dark place and showed me, continually, what LOVE really means: Love is not a feeling, love is a person. I’ts God chosing to empty himself from all His power and steping down to rescue you and me. Love is what Christ did on that cross, and if you believe it, it changes everything.
That means LOVE is not volatile, it does not runs dry. It is God personified in Christ, the same God who created you and me from dust and blowed inside of us His life and who also offers us a purpose. And the most incredible thing about it is that we didn’t do anything to deserve it. He just chose us.
What I’ve learned about love is: It starts with redemption, through the person of Jesus Christ, and it grows stronger through a relationship that involves trust, resilience, renouncements(you need to realize that you are a new person now, walking a new path) and a deep healing, that leads us to our destiny. You and I were created for love, not this kind of love that are here one day and disapears with our feelings on the other. It is solid-based in truth, is everlasting, forgiving and transformative.
Love makes you want to be different, selfless, free. Love does not seek it’s own interests. Love is patient, love is kind.

Aceitando a sugestão do WordPress para o tema de hoje, eu quero partilhar com vocês algumas reflexões sobre o que aprendi, nessa louca viagem chamada vida, sobre o AMOR.
Bem, na verdade eu tenho que dividir esta resposta em duas partes porque, até os meus 30 anos eu achava que amor era uma palavra superestimada e para ser sincera, eu não acreditava no amor. O fato é que eu não estava, em vários níveis da minha vida, experimentando o amor. Mas havia uma razão para isso: Eu estava machucada e vivi muitos anos fugindo das pessoas e das oportunidades de amar e de experimentar o amor. Fiquei tão traumatizada que preferi me esconder.
De acordo com o Merriam-webster, algumas definições de amor são:
1. Uma forte afeição por outro decorrente de parentesco ou laços pessoais;
2.Atração baseada no desejo sexual : carinho e ternura sentidos pelos amantes;
3. Afeto baseado em admiração, benevolência ou interesses comuns;
4. Uma garantia de afeto.
Deixe-me esclarecer uma coisa, antes de continuar: não acredito mais nessa narrativa de que “amor é um sentimento” que muda nossas vidas por um tempo e, eventualmente desaparece, nos fazendo começar tudo de novo, tentando alcançar apenas um vislumbre do que ele realmente significa. Isso é basicamente o que a maioria das pessoas diz sobre o amor, certo? Que você precisa encontrá-lo, em alguém ou em alguma coisa, mas precisa estar ciente de que isso pode acabar a qualquer momento e, cabe a você continuar procurando, na próxima pessoa ou oportunidade.
Esse tipo de concepção nunca funcionou pra mim. Eu não estava apenas magoada, mas levando uma vida egoísta, eu estava tentando me proteger de mais decepções. Acima de tudo, eu acreditava que eu não poderia mudar. Eu estava vivendo no modo “sobrevivência” e quando você está vivendo assim, você não consegue ver nada além de sua dor e suas próprias necessidades, mesmo essa forma equivocada de amor não funcionava para mim. Eu não sentia nada.
Porém, quando as coisas ficaram realmente insuportáveis em minha vida, resolvi olhar para dentro para tentar descobrir o que havia de errado comigo, eu sabia que o problema estava dentro, não fora. Naquele momento de profundo desespero, lembrei-me de algo que eu ouvia repetidamente durante minha infância e início da adolescência: Havia um tipo de amor redentor.
Eu estava tão no fim da linha que decidi tentar, então eu disse: “Ok Deus, se você está aí, em algum lugar além, se você realmente me vê aqui, por favor, faça alguma coisa, eu preciso da sua ajuda. Não sei mais o que fazer”. Foi uma oração desesperada, não sabia se daria certo, mas lembrei que Deus era uma “opção” e o que as pessoas na igreja falavam sobre Cristo, o que ele fez por mim, então eu tinha que tentar.
Para encurtar a história, aquela oração realmente começou a mudar minha vida. Daquele dia em diante, Deus me resgatou daquele lugar escuro e me mostrou, continuamente, o que realmente significa AMOR: O amor não é um sentimento, o amor é uma pessoa. É Deus escolhendo se esvaziar de todo o Seu poder e se fazendo carne, para resgatar você e eu. Amor é o que Cristo fez naquela cruz, e se você acreditar, isso muda tudo.
Isso significa que o AMOR não é volátil, não seca. É Deus personificado em Cristo, o mesmo Deus que criou você e eu do pó e soprou dentro de nós Sua vida e que também nos oferece um propósito. E o mais incrível disso tudo é que não fizemos nada para merecer. Ele apenas nos escolheu.
O que aprendi sobre o amor é: Ele começa com a redenção, por meio da pessoa de Jesus Cristo, e se fortalece por meio de um relacionamento que envolve confiança, resiliência, renúncias (porque agora você entende que é uma nova pessoa, trilhando um novo caminho) e uma cura profunda, que nos conduz ao nosso destino. Você e eu fomos criados para o amor, não esse tipo de amor que um dia está aqui e no outro desaparece, como os nossos sentimentos. É sólido, firmado na verdade, é eterno, perdoador e transformador.
O amor faz você querer ser diferente, altruísta, livre. O amor não busca seus próprios interesses. O amor é paciente, o amor é gentil.

Dear generation, I know this present time can feel overhelming! We are all so fed up with a variety of informations, opinions, teories and conspiracy. There are so many roads that we don’t know wich way to go. Are you tired?!
Are you sick of living a purposeless, empty life? Are you tired of being labeled? People say that you are giving up. That fear and anxiety are overtaking you, that you are the most confused and unsatisfied generation of all. How long you are going to put up with this?
Can you hear a voice inside of you, calling you to more? Insisting that you were born to live a meaninful life? You can choose to surrender to despair and just give up or you can fight and believe there is more on the other side of this wall of bad news and anger!
Are you ready to give up of everything you thought you knew, to step into something greater? That requires boldness and courage! But this is the time to risk everything that seems “secure” to enter in the amazing unknown, that can lead you to where you always wanted to go!
Dear generation, it is not the end yet. You can say yes to a new path, a new way of thinking and living that is completely counter-cultural. You can choose to rebel against this fallen system.
Isn’t that what the younger generations always wanted to do?!
You can decide to live the best of times or keep drowning in the worst of it. You are called to a life of surrender, where we can undress ourselves of every burden, masks and every lie, to be what you were creted to be: Sons and daughters of Light, embassadors of the Truth.
Dear generation, you are called for more!
Don’t be afraid! All you have to do is to embrace a simple YES, that will change your history forever. Leave behind the old and the known to step into something new and greater than anything you could ever dream of!
You were created and called for a life of adventure!
“Moses my servant is dead. Get going. Cross this Jordan River, you and all the people. Cross to the country I’m giving to the People of Israel. I’m giving you every square inch of the land you set your foot on—just as I promised Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon east to the Great River, the Euphrates River—all the Hittite country—and then west to the Great Sea. It’s all yours. All your life, no one will be able to hold out against you. In the same way I was with Moses, I’ll be with you. I won’t give up on you; I won’t leave you. Strength! Courage! You are going to lead this people to inherit the land that I promised to give their ancestors. Give it everything you have, heart and soul.(…) Strength! Courage! Don’t be timid; don’t get discouraged. God, your God, is with you every step you take.”

This passage in Joshua 1 talked deeply into my heart about transitioning through the seasons of our lives! And how important it is not to lose sight of what God promised and what He already did for us!
The choices we made in the past and all the lessons we’ve learned will shape our future!
We all have dreams and goals not yet fulfilled in our lives, right?! Sometimes all we have in the “wilderness seasons” is the hope that one day God will do what He has promised to us!
However, even in our toughest seasons, when we are tired and discouraged, we can choose to bring to our minds what can bring us hope! Everything that God already did for us. That will definitely feed our hearts with hope and strengthen our faith!
An important thing to keep in mind is that: God is always working, in us and for us! Even when we feel desperate and alone, He is there, building strength inside of us and refining our character, trainning us to embrace the future he has for us.
In the first chapter of Joshua, we can see a transition happening: Moses, a great leader among the people of Israel, is dead and now his pupil has to take the lead and keep going toward the promised land!
Imagine the challenge Joshua was facing: Even considering that Moses had prepared him for that specific job, he had to substitute this wise and great leader. He was probably a little bit insecure, facing some kind of fear. He was probably experiencing the fear of rejection, maybe the fear of failure. No wonder God encourages him twice: “Be strong and courageous!”
No matter what we may fear during our transition through the seasons of life, God remains faithful, He is a good and loving Father. He will accomplish everything He promised for us and through us! He will make us able to achieve what we can’t do by ourselves. as limited human beings!
When we face a battle to great for us, is always good to remind that God is the God of the Angel Armies, and He is going before us! Not only that, but he also trained us to face those battles, in Psalm 18:34-35 says:
” He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. 35 You make your saving help my shield, and your right hand sustains me; your help has made me great.“
That means we are never unprepared for the challenges we will face in times of hardship or when we feel insecure about the changing of seasons in our lives! God is a warrior and He trains his children to be a warrior as well.
I don’t now what kind of season or challenge you are facing right ow, but I hope this reflection bring you strength and courage to keep marching! God has a promised land to each one of us, we just need to trust Him and let him leads us all the way!

Não se apavore, nem desanime, pois o Senhor, o seu Deus, estará com você por onde você andar”.Josué 1:1-9)
Ei, amigo! Como você está hoje? Espero que você esteja bem!
Esta passagem de Josué 1 falou profundamente em meu coração sobre a transição entre as estações da nossa vida! E como é importante não perder de vista o que Deus prometeu e o que Ele já fez por nós! As escolhas que fizemos no passado e todas as lições que aprendemos moldarão nosso futuro!
Todos nós temos sonhos e objetivos ainda não realizados em nossas vidas, certo?! Às vezes, tudo o que temos nas “estações de deserto” é a esperança de que um dia Deus fará o que prometeu a nós!
No entanto, mesmo em nossas épocas mais difíceis, quando estamos cansados e desanimados, podemos escolher trazer à nossa mente o que pode nos trazer esperança! Tudo o que Deus já fez por nós. Isso certamente alimentará nossos corações com esperança e fortalecerá nossa fé!
Uma coisa importante para se ter em mente é: Deus está sempre trabalhando, em nós e por nós! Mesmo quando nos sentimos desesperados e sozinhos, Ele está lá, construindo força dentro de nós e refinando nosso caráter, treinando-nos para abraçar o futuro que ele tem para nós.
No primeiro capítulo de Josué, podemos ver uma transição acontecendo: Moisés, um grande líder entre o povo de Israel, está morto e agora seu discípulo tem que assumir a liderança e seguir em direção à terra prometida!
Imagine o desafio que Josué estava enfrentando: Mesmo considerando que Moisés o preparou para aquele trabalho específico, ele teria que substituir esse sábio e renomado líder. Ele provavelmente estava um pouco inseguro, enfrentando algum tipo de medo. Não é à toa que Deus o encoraja duas vezes: “Seja forte e corajoso!”
Não importa o que possamos temer durante uma transição através das estações, Deus permanece fiel, Ele é um Pai bom e amoroso. Ele cumprirá tudo o que prometeu a nós e através de nós! Ele nos tornará capazes de realizar o que não podemos fazer por nós mesmos. como seres humanos limitados!
Quando enfrentamos uma batalha muito grande para nós, é sempre bom lembrar que Deus é o Deus dos Exércitos, e Ele está indo adiante de nós! Não só isso, mas ele também nos treinou para enfrentar essas batalhas, no Salmo 18:34-5 diz:
“Ele treina as minhas mãos para a batalha e os meus braços para vergar um arco de bronze. Tu me dás o teu escudo de vitória; tua mão direita me sustém; desces ao meu encontro para exaltar-me.” (Salmos 18:34-35)
Isso significa que nunca estamos despreparados para os desafios que enfrentaremos em tempos de dificuldades ou quando nos sentirmos inseguros com a mudança das estações em nossas vidas! Deus é um grande guerreiro e Ele treina seus filhos para serem guerreiros também.
Não sei que tipo de temporada ou desafio você está enfrentando agora, mas espero que essa reflexão lhe traga força e coragem para continuar marchando! Deus tem uma terra prometida para cada um de nós, só precisamos confiar Nele e deixar que Ele nos guie até o fim!

“Porque sou eu que conheço os planos que tenho para vocês’, diz o Senhor, ‘planos de fazê-los prosperar e não de lhes causar dano, planos de dar-lhes esperança e um futuro. 12 Então vocês clamarão a mim, virão orar a mim, e eu os ouvirei. 13 Vocês me procurarão e me acharão quando me procurarem de todo o coração. Eu me deixarei ser encontrado por vocês’, declara o Senhor, ‘e os trarei de volta do cativeiro. Eu os reunirei de todas as nações e de todos os lugares para onde eu os dispersei, e os trarei de volta para o lugar de onde os deportei’, diz o Senhor.” (Jeremias 29:11-14)
I don’t know if you ever watched this tv show, but I have to say : It is very interesting(if you like suspense and some terror, like me) and we can learn some good lessons with all the bizarre scenario of Stranger Things.
Let me tell you first, that, every time I watch a serie or a good movie , my brain starts to make connections with the real life and the real struggles we may face as Christians. I mean, I don’t want to sound weird but, if you think about it, everything has a spiritual reallity behind it, everything we see and experience has more layers than our eyes can see, right?!
If you did not watched the first part of season 4( and the previous seasons), I have to warn you: This post will have some spoilers! =)
Like in the story that goes in Stranger Things, the major things always happens first in our minds: There are dark “forces” that are acting in Hopkins, like this vilain, Vecna, who takes control over people minds, untill he takes them completely, killing and absorbing their lives!
This dark creature, uses his force to take people as a host, so he can have access to the “real world” . He belongs to the upside down world, but his goal is to open doors to our world. And how he does that? Taking peoples lives, as a parasite, and ultimately, taking them as a “sacrifique” to open a portal. The goal, obsviously, its to take control of the real world, just to bring destruction.
Let’s bring this story to our reality and remind that in Ephesians 6 says that “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places”. There are sipiritual forces out there, trying to take control of minds, groups and nations as I write this. I watch ths show pretty aware that, what is hapenning in fiction is actually a reflection of what happens all the time in the spiritual world!
There are people out there living with their minds completely controled by the enemy, living as hosts for evil and destruction. Think about how many people are living slavered by fear, depression, anxiety?! How many already gave upon life, because they were to weak to fight against it?
I don’t want to go deep in it, but we are living unprecedented times where people are being brain washed to believe and say all the same things, the mainstream is dictating what is acceptable or not for a long time now. What it is reasonable and what does not offend people, right? Where does it come from?
We have to be aware all the time that nothing is by mistake, that we are in a constant spiritual war and our minds and hearts must to be protected. Otherwise we are going to be just another victim of a parasite that wants to control our minds and lives. Some speechs can seems harmless, but if you know the Word of God, we must be prepared to protect yurself against some mindsets that are spread in our society! Vecna is not kidding, people(if you a fan, you know what I mean)
The second lesson we can learn with this show is: Like Eleven, people sometimes, just try to live a “normal” life, they are just trying to fit in society. However, when we try to fit in, we are living out of our prupose and that means we can lose our “superpowers”!
Eleven has a special calling, she has a important role in the mission of saving Hopkins, with the help of her friends. But when she goes to another place and try to live a “normal life”, like everybody else, she gradually loses her power. She was tired of “being different” but soon she discovered that even trying, she couldn’t be like the rest of the “cool people”. She was born to be differemt and play a specific and important role.
When we try to fit in, leaving behind who we were created to be, because we, like El, want to be accepted, we get lost in the proccess and lose our superpower: Being uniquely ourselves, who God created us to be, with strengths and weaknesses, but having a special and powerful role in this world!
The Word of God says: “Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb. I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation! You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, The days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day.” (Psalm 139:14-16)
I know that there are times when we can’t realize that, because we are comparing ourselves with others, or because people made us believe that we are not enough, but God make not mistakes, He made us perfect on His sight,and we are wonderfully made, just the way we are! Never doubt it.
The third lesson we can learn from Strangers Things: Together we are stronger than the most powerful evil!
The whole story starts with a group of friends, who share some interests and passion, like D&D! In the “real world” they are just a band of nerds and weirdos, but when the adventure begings and their city and the whole world are in danger, they reveal themselves as true heroes! What used to be use to shame them becomes a strength, and together, they change everything and fight for their families and friends! They discovered the power of unity and how adversities can reveal a strength that even they didn’t know that was there, deep inside!
Jesus also tell us that, when we are one, we are more powerful, that’s why He prayed:
“I’m praying not only for them But also for those who will believe in me Because of them and their witness about me. The goal is for all of them to become one heart and mind— Just as you, Father, are in me and I in you, So they might be one heart and mind with us. Then the world might believe that you, in fact, sent me. The same glory you gave me, I gave them, So they’ll be as unified and together as we are— I in them and you in me. Then they’ll be mature in this oneness, And give the godless world evidence That you’ve sent me and loved them In the same way you’ve loved me.”( John 17:20-23)
There is power in unity, specially if we are united with God, sharing His mind, heart and purposes! That’s also why the enemy wants to rob our minds, like I said in the beginning, because our mindset will determine they way we see ourselves, the way we live and interact with others. What kind of mind do you want to have? The mind of Christ, who brings wisdom, healing and direction or the mindset of the world, wich is corrupted by lies and selfishness? You decide who you want to follow, but remember: If Jesus is not in control of your life, some other power are, and its not good at all. There is no neutral ground, friends!
I hope this reflection had helped you to see through, because our reality is more deep than our eyes can see! We need to discern what we see, hear and experince, knowing that this world has a spiritual reality and we are in the middle of a war! Let’s be wise and revest ourselves with the Spirit of God and every weapon he gave us to fight!
“And that about wraps it up. God is strong, and he wants you strong. So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. This is no weekend war that we’ll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels.
Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.”(Ephesians 6:10-18)
O que nós podemos aprender com “Stranger Things”?
Ei, amigo! Como você está? Espero que você esteja bem!
Não sei se você já assistiu a essa série, mas tenho que dizer: É muito interessante (se você gosta de suspense e terror, como eu) e podemos aprender algumas boas lições com todo o cenário bizarro que se passa em Stranger Things.
Deixe-me dizer primeiro que, toda vez que assisto a uma série ou um bom filme, meu cérebro começa a fazer conexões com a vida real e as lutas reais que podemos enfrentar como cristãos. Quer dizer, não quero parecer estranha, mas, se você pensar bem, tudo tem uma realidade espiritual por trás, tudo o que vemos e vivenciamos tem mais camadas do que nossos olhos podem ver, certo?!
Se você não assistiu a 4ª temporada (e as temporadas anteriores), tenho que avisar: Esse post terá alguns spoilers! =)
Como na história que se passa em Stranger Things, as coisas sempre acontecem primeiro no campo da mente: Existem “forças” obscuras que estão agindo em Hopkins, como esse vilão, Vecna, que assume o controle sobre a mente das pessoas, até que ele as toma completamente, matando e absorvendo suas vidas!
Essa criatura sombria, usa sua força para tornar as pessoas suas hospedeiras, para que possa ter acesso ao “mundo real”. Ele pertence ao mundo invertido, mas seu objetivo é abrir portas para o nosso mundo. E como ele faz isso? Tomando a vida das pessoas como um parasita e depois como um “sacrifício” para abrir um portal. O objetivo, obviamente, é assumir o controle do mundo real, apenas para trazer destruição.
Vamos trazer isso para a nossa realidade e lembrar que Efésios 6 diz: “Porque não lutamos contra carne e sangue, mas contra os governantes, contra as autoridades, contra os poderes cósmicos sobre esta escuridão presente, contra as forças espirituais do mal em os lugares celestiais”. Existem forças espirituais lá fora, tentando assumir o controle de mentes, grupos e nações enquanto eu escrevo isso. Eu assisto essa serie bem ciente de que, o que está acontecendo na ficção é na verdade um reflexo do que acontece o tempo todo no mundo espiritual!
Existem pessoas por aí vivendo com suas mentes completamente controladas pelo inimigo, vivendo como hospedeiros do mal e da destruição. Pense em quantas pessoas estão vivendo escravizadas pelo medo, depressão, ansiedade?! Quantos já desistiram da vida, porque eram fracos demais para lutar contra esse controle?
Não quero me aprofundar nisso, mas estamos vivendo tempos sem precedentes, onde as pessoas estão sendo levadas a acreditar e dizer as mesmas coisas. A mídia está ditando o que é aceitável ou não há muito tempo. O que é razoável e o que não ofende as pessoas, certo? De onde isso vem?
Temos que estar cientes o tempo todo de que nada é por acaso, que estamos em uma guerra espiritual constante e nossas mentes e corações devem ser protegidos. Caso contrário, seremos apenas mais uma vítima de um parasita que quer controlar nossas mentes e vidas. Alguns discursos podem parecer inofensivos, mas se você conhece a Palavra de Deus, deve estar preparado para se proteger contra algumas mentalidades que estão se espalhando na nossa sociedade! Vecna não está pra brincadeira, pessoal (se você é fã, sabe o que quero dizer rs)
A segunda lição que podemos aprender com esta série é: Como Onze, às vezes, nós apenas estamos tentando viver uma vida “normal”, estamos tentando nos encaixar na sociedade. Porém, quando tentamos nos encaixar, estamos vivendo fora do nosso propósito, então gradualmente perdemos nossos “poderes”!
Onze tem um chamado especial, ela tem um papel importante na missão de salvar Hopkins, com a ajuda de seus amigos. Mas quando ela vai para outro lugar e tenta viver uma “vida normal”, como todo mundo, ela gradualmente perde seu poder. Ela estava cansada de “ser diferente” mas logo descobriu que mesmo tentando, não conseguia ser como o resto das “pessoas legais”. Ela nasceu para ser diferente e desempenhar um papel específico e importante.
Quando tentamos nos encaixar, deixando para trás quem fomos criados para ser, porque nós, como a On, queremos ser aceitos, nós nos perdemos no processo e perdemos nosso superpoder: Ser unicamente nós mesmos, quem Deus nos criou para ser, com pontos fortes e fracos, mas tendo um papel especial e poderoso neste mundo!
A Palavra de Deus diz: “Oh sim, você me moldou primeiro por dentro, depois por fora; você me formou no ventre de minha mãe. Eu te agradeço, Alto Deus – você é de tirar o fôlego! Corpo e alma, eu sou maravilhosamente feito! Eu adoro em adoração — que criação! Você me conhece por dentro e por fora, conhece cada osso do meu corpo; Você sabe exatamente como fui feito, pouco a pouco, como fui esculpido do nada em algo. Como um livro aberto, você assistiu eu cresci da concepção ao nascimento; todas as etapas da minha vida foram espalhadas antes de você, Os dias da minha vida todos preparados antes mesmo de eu viver um dia.” (Salmo 139:14-16)
Eu sei que há momentos em que não percebemos isso, porque estamos nos comparando com os outros, ou porque as pessoas nos fizeram acreditar que não somos suficientes, mas Deus não comete erros! Ele nos fez perfeitos aos Seus olhos, e nós somos maravilhosamente feitos, do jeito que somos! Nunca duvide disso.
A terceira lição que podemos aprender com Strangers Things: Juntos somos mais fortes que o mal mais poderoso!
A história toda começa com um grupo de amigos, que compartilham alguns interesses e paixões, como D&D! No “mundo real” eles são apenas um bando de nerds e esquisitos, mas quando a aventura começa e sua cidade e o mundo inteiro estão em perigo, eles se revelam como verdadeiros heróis! O que antes era usado para envergonhá-los se torna uma força e, juntos, eles mudam tudo e lutam por suas famílias e amigos! Eles descobrem o poder da união e como as adversidades podem revelar uma força interna que nem eles sabiam que tinham!
Jesus também nos diz que, quando somos um, somos mais poderosos, por isso Ele orou:
“Estou orando não só por eles Mas também para aqueles que vão acreditar em mim Por causa deles e do testemunho deles sobre mim. O objetivo é que todos eles se tornem um só coração e mente— Assim como você, Pai, está em mim e eu em você, Assim, eles podem ser um só coração e mente conosco. Então o mundo pode acreditar que você, de fato, me enviou. A mesma glória que você me deu, eu dei a eles, Então eles estarão tão unidos e juntos quanto nós… Eu neles e você em mim. Então eles serão maduros nesta unidade, E dar ao mundo ateu evidências Que você me enviou e os amou Da mesma forma que você me amou.” (João 17:20-23)
Há poder na unidade, especialmente se estivermos unidos com Deus, compartilhando Sua mente, coração e propósitos! É por isso também que o inimigo quer roubar nossas mentes, como eu disse no início, porque nossa mentalidade determinará a maneira como nos vemos, a maneira como vivemos e interagimos com os outros. Que tipo de mente você quer ter? A mente de Cristo, que traz sabedoria, cura e direção ou a mentalidade do mundo, que é corrompida pela mentira e pelo egoísmo? Você decide quem você quer seguir, mas lembre-se: se Jesus não está no controle de sua vida, algum outro poder está, e não é nada bom. Não existe terreno neutro, amigos!
Espero que esta reflexão tenha ajudado você a enxergar, pois nossa realidade é mais profunda do que nossos olhos podem ver, precisamos discernir o que vemos, ouvimos e vivenciamos, sabendo que este mundo tem uma realidade espiritual e estamos no meio uma guerra! Sejamos sábios e nos revestimos com o Espírito de Deus e todas as armas que ele nos deu para lutar!
“E isso encerra tudo. Deus é forte, e ele quer você forte. Então pegue tudo o que o Mestre preparou para você, armas bem feitas dos melhores materiais. E coloque-as em uso para que você possa resistir até tudo o que o diabo joga em seu caminho. Esta não é uma guerra de fim de semana da qual vamos nos afastar e esquecer em algumas horas. Isso é para valer, uma luta de vida ou morte até o fim contra o diabo e seus anjos.
Esteja preparado. Você enfrenta muito mais do que pode lidar sozinho. Pegue toda a ajuda que puder obter, todas as armas que Deus emitiu, para que, quando tudo acabar, exceto os gritos, você ainda esteja de pé. Verdade, justiça, paz, fé e salvação são mais do que palavras. Saiba como aplicá-los. Você vai precisar deles ao longo de sua vida. A Palavra de Deus é uma arma indispensável. Da mesma forma, a oração é essencial nesta guerra contínua. Ore muito e longamente. Ore por seus irmãos e irmãs. Mantenha seus olhos abertos. Mantenham o ânimo uns dos outros para que ninguém fique para trás ou desista.” (Efésios 6:10-18- A Mensagem)
11-12 Then he said, “There was once a man who had two sons. The younger said to his father, ‘Father, I want right now what’s coming to me.’
12-16 “So the father divided the property between them. It wasn’t long before the younger son packed his bags and left for a distant country. There, undisciplined and dissipated, he wasted everything he had. After he had gone through all his money, there was a bad famine all through that country and he began to feel it. He signed on with a citizen there who assigned him to his fields to slop the pigs. He was so hungry he would have eaten the corn-cobs in the pig slop, but no one would give him any.
17-20 “That brought him to his senses. He said, ‘All those farmhands working for my father sit down to three meals a day, and here I am starving to death. I’m going back to my father. I’ll say to him, Father, I’ve sinned against God, I’ve sinned before you; I don’t deserve to be called your son. Take me on as a hired hand.’ He got right up and went home to his father.
20-21 “When he was still a long way off, his father saw him. His heart pounding, he ran out, embraced him, and kissed him. The son started his speech: ‘Father, I’ve sinned against God, I’ve sinned before you; I don’t deserve to be called your son ever again.’
22-24 “But the father wasn’t listening. He was calling to the servants, ‘Quick. Bring a clean set of clothes and dress him. Put the family ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Then get a prize-winning heifer and roast it. We’re going to feast! We’re going to have a wonderful time! My son is here—given up for dead and now alive! Given up for lost and now found!’ And they began to have a wonderful time.
25-27 “All this time his older son was out in the field. When the day’s work was done he came in. As he approached the house, he heard the music and dancing. Calling over one of the houseboys, he asked what was going on. He told him, ‘Your brother came home. Your father has ordered a feast—barbecued beef!—because he has him home safe and sound.’(…)
Hello dear reader! How are you doing today? I hope you are safe and sound!
Today I want to share a reflection with you, over this famous Jesus’ parable about the prodigal son!
If you are a Christian, you already know that we were all prodigal sons in our lives! This story represents you and I, and how we decide to use our “freedom” to do whatever we’d like! We spent our years and energy satisfying our flesh and at some point, we discovered that the so called “freedom” it is actually slavery!
When we lived as the prodigal son, we became a slave of our own desires and peoples’ opinion, untill it consumed us deeply. Then, there was a moment, probably when we were in the end of our rope, we had to realize that in our Father’s House, we used to have a pretty good life and the best food of all! Finally, we came to our senses and decided to come back, right? Most of us experienced it!
However, today I want to go further in this story and talk about something that God shared with me: More than just bring His sons and daughters back to His Presence, He wants to restitute us!
God’s desires was always that we have what He planned for humankind since the beginning: Communion with Him, identitty as sons and authority over the creation!
If you take a good look in this story that represents us and God, you will realize that, when the son got back home, the Father is not only happy and pleased to receive him bak, he is also willing to restitute the position the son had before: He put sandals on his feet, new and clean clothes and a ring on his finger! He is saying: “You are my found and beloved son, you are part of this family and I’m giving you back everything you left behind: Your position, your identity and the enhiretance and authority as member of this family!
He also gives him a huge party, to declare to everyone that he is receiving his son back, renewing the communion with his once lost son, that now is found! He is happy and proud to have him back in the family.
After the fall, Adam lost the direct connection he used to have with God. However, God had already a plan, and through Jesus, He reconnected us with Him, restituing the communion we had in the beginning! How amazing s that? Look what Paul says in Romans 5:6-14:
“6-8 Christ arrives right on time to make this happen. He didn’t, and doesn’t, wait for us to get ready. He presented himself for this sacrificial death when we were far too weak and rebellious to do anything to get ourselves ready. And even if we hadn’t been so weak, we wouldn’t have known what to do anyway. We can understand someone dying for a person worth dying for, and we can understand how someone good and noble could inspire us to selfless sacrifice. But God put his love on the line for us by offering his Son in sacrificial death while we were of no use whatever to him.
9-11 Now that we are set right with God by means of this sacrificial death, the consummate blood sacrifice, there is no longer a question of being at odds with God in any way. If, when we were at our worst, we were put on friendly terms with God by the sacrificial death of his Son, now that we’re at our best, just think of how our lives will expand and deepen by means of his resurrection life! Now that we have actually received this amazing friendship with God, we are no longer content to simply say it in plodding prose. We sing and shout our praises to God through Jesus, the Messiah!
You know the story of how Adam landed us in the dilemma we’re in—first sin, then death, and no one exempt from either sin or death. That sin disturbed relations with God in everything and everyone, but the extent of the disturbance was not clear until God spelled it out in detail to Moses. So death, this huge abyss separating us from God, dominated the landscape from Adam to Moses. Even those who didn’t sin precisely as Adam did by disobeying a specific command of God still had to experience this termination of life, this separation from God. But Adam, who got us into this, also points ahead to the One who will get us out of it.“
This passage make very clear that God has already a plan for humankind, even before the fall! He knew that we’d need a great help from above to deal with the problem of sin, that makes separation between us and Him. The Father prepared and planned all the history to restore us back to Him, through the sacrificial death of His beloved Son, Jesus Christ!
There is nothing we could do to deserve or achieve this salvation, but God gives freely this gift, thorugh Jesus Christ, that set us free and restores us and sons and daughters! All we need to do to RECONNECT with God is to recognize Jesus as our Lord and Savior, and surrender our lives to Him!
“It’s in Christ that you, once you heard the truth and believed it (this Message of your salvation), found yourselves home free—signed, sealed, and delivered by the Holy Spirit. This down payment from God is the first installment on what’s coming, a reminder that we’ll get everything God has planned for us, a praising and glorious life.
15-19 That’s why, when I heard of the solid trust you have in the Master Jesus and your outpouring of love to all the followers of Jesus, I couldn’t stop thanking God for you—every time I prayed, I’d think of you and give thanks. But I do more than thank. I ask—ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory—to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for his followers, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him—endless energy, boundless strength!
20-23All this energy issues from Christ: God raised him from death and set him on a throne in deep heaven, in charge of running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments, no name and no power exempt from his rule. And not just for the time being, but forever. He is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything. At the center of all this, Christ rules the church. The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ’s body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence.“
That is powerful, isn’ t it? Just let these words deepen in your heart and ask God to make it plain to you!
So, in the next post, I’ll talk about the 2 other things that God wants to restore in us, through Jesus: Our identity as His sons and daughter and our authority as part of His famity, to fulfill the purpose we all have in this life and the life to come, as co-heirs with Christ!
“Jesus continuou: “Um homem tinha dois filhos. 12 O filho mais jovem disse ao pai: ‘Quero a minha parte da herança’, e o pai dividiu seus bens entre os filhos.
13 “Alguns dias depois, o filho mais jovem arrumou suas coisas e se mudou para uma terra distante, onde desperdiçou tudo que tinha por viver de forma desregrada. 14 Quando seu dinheiro acabou, uma grande fome se espalhou pela terra, e ele começou a passar necessidade. 15 Convenceu um fazendeiro da região a empregá-lo, e esse homem o mandou a seus campos para cuidar dos porcos. 16 Embora quisesse saciar a fome com as vagens dadas aos porcos, ninguém lhe dava coisa alguma.
17 “Quando finalmente caiu em si, disse: ‘Até os empregados de meu pai têm comida de sobra, e eu estou aqui, morrendo de fome. 18 Vou retornar à casa de meu pai e dizer: Pai, pequei contra o céu e contra o senhor, 19 e não sou mais digno de ser chamado seu filho. Por favor, trate-me como seu empregado’.
20 “Então voltou para a casa de seu pai. Quando ele ainda estava longe, seu pai o viu. Cheio de compaixão, correu para o filho, o abraçou e o beijou. 21 O filho disse: ‘Pai, pequei contra o céu e contra o senhor, e não sou mais digno de ser chamado seu filho’.[b]
22 “O pai, no entanto, disse aos servos: ‘Depressa! Tragam a melhor roupa da casa e vistam nele. Coloquem-lhe um anel no dedo e sandálias nos pés. 23 Matem o novilho gordo. Faremos um banquete e celebraremos, 24 pois este meu filho estava morto e voltou à vida. Estava perdido e foi achado!’. E começaram a festejar.(…)
Olá caro leitor! Como você está hoje? Espero que você esteja são e salvo!
Hoje quero compartilhar com vocês uma reflexão sobre esta famosa parábola de Jesus: O filho pródigo!
Se você é cristão, já sabe que todos fomos filhos pródigos em nossas vidas! Esta história representa você e eu, e como decidimos usar nossa “liberdade” para fazer o que queríamos! Gastamos nossos anos e energia satisfazendo nossa carne e em algum momento, descobrimos que o que o mundo chama de “liberdade” é na verdade escravidão!
Quando vivíamos como filho pródigo, nos tornamos escravos de nossos próprios desejos e da opinião das pessoas, até que isso nos consumiu completamente. Em um determinado momento, provavelmente quando estávamos no fundo do poço, nós finalmente percebemos que na Casa do nosso Pai nós costumávamos ter uma vida muito boa e a melhor comida de todas! Finalmente, recuperamos o bom senso e decidimos voltar, certo? A maioria de nós experimentou isso!
No entanto, hoje quero ir mais longe nesta história e falar sobre algo que Deus compartilhou comigo: Mais do que apenas trazer Seus filhos e filhas de volta à Sua Presença, Ele quer nos restituir!
O desejo de Deus é que tenhamos o que Ele planejou para a humanidade desde o início: Comunhão com Ele, identidade como filhos e autoridade sobre a criação!
Se você der uma boa olhada nessa história que representa a nós e a Deus, você perceberá que, quando o filho volta para casa, o Pai não está apenas feliz e satisfeito por recebê-lo de volta, ele também está disposto a restituir a posição que o filho tinha antes: Ele coloca sandálias nos seus pés, roupas novas e limpas e um anel em seu dedo! Ele está dizendo: “Você é meu filho encontrado e amado, você faz parte desta família e eu estou lhe devolvendo tudo o que você deixou para trás: Sua posição, sua identidade e a posse da autoridade como membro desta família!
Ele também lhe dá uma grande festa, para mostrar a todos que está recebendo seu filho de volta, renovando a comunhão com seu filho perdido, que agora foi encontrado! Ele está feliz e orgulhoso de tê-lo de volta à comunhão familiar.
-Comunhão:
Desde o início, o que Deus realmente queria com o homem era a comunhão! Ele criou o homem e a mulher e os colocou no jardim do Éden, onde eles tinham uma convivência diária com Deus! Eles podiam ouvi-lo claramente e falar com ele todos os dias! Após a queda, Adão perdeu a conexão direta que costumava ter com Deus. Porém, Deus já tinha um plano, e através de Jesus, Ele nos reconectou com Ele, restituindo a comunhão que tínhamos no início! Quão incrível é isso? Veja o que Paulo diz em Romanos 5:6-17:
“Quando estávamos completamente desamparados, Cristo veio na hora certa e morreu por nós, pecadores. 7 É pouco provável que alguém morresse por um justo, embora talvez alguém se dispusesse a morrer por uma pessoa boa. 8 Mas Deus nos prova seu grande amor ao enviar Cristo para morrer por nós quando ainda éramos pecadores. 9 E, uma vez que fomos declarados justos por seu sangue, certamente seremos salvos da ira de Deus por meio dele. 10 Pois, se quando ainda éramos inimigos de Deus nosso relacionamento com ele foi restaurado pela morte de seu Filho, agora que já estamos reconciliados certamente seremos salvos por sua vida. 11 Agora, portanto, podemos nos alegrar em Deus, com quem fomos reconciliados por meio de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.
12 Quando Adão pecou, o pecado entrou no mundo, e com ele a morte, que se estendeu a todos, porque todos pecaram. 13 É fato que as pessoas pecaram antes que a lei fosse concedida, mas, porque ela não existia, seus pecados não foram levados em conta. 14 Mesmo assim, do tempo de Adão até o de Moisés, todos morreram, incluindo os que não desobedeceram a uma ordem explícita de Deus, como Adão desobedeceu. Na verdade, Adão é um símbolo, uma representação daquele que ainda haveria de vir. 15 Mas há uma grande diferença entre o pecado de Adão e a dádiva de Deus. Pois o pecado de um único homem trouxe morte para muitos. Ainda maior, porém, é a graça de Deus e sua dádiva que veio sobre muitos por meio de um único homem, Jesus Cristo. 16 E o resultado da dádiva de Deus é bem diferente do resultado do pecado de um único homem, pois enquanto o pecado de Adão levou à condenação, a dádiva de Deus nos possibilita ser declarados justos diante dele, apesar de nossos muitos pecados. 17 A morte reinou sobre muitos por meio do pecado de um único homem. Ainda maior, porém, é a graça de Deus e sua dádiva de justiça, e todos que a recebem reinarão em vida por meio de um único homem, Jesus Cristo.”
Essa passagem deixa muito claro que Deus já tinha um plano para a humanidade, mesmo antes da queda! Ele sabia que precisaríamos de uma grande ajuda do alto para lidar com o problema do pecado, que faz a separação entre nós e Ele. O Pai preparou e planejou toda a história para nos devolver a Ele, através da morte sacrificial de Seu Filho amado, Jesus Cristo!
Não há nada que possamos fazer para merecer ou alcançar essa salvação, mas Deus nos dá gratuitamente esse presente, por meio de Jesus Cristo, que nos liberta e restaura a nós e filhos e filhas! Tudo o que precisamos fazer para nos RECONECTAR com Deus é reconhecer Jesus como nosso Senhor e Salvador e entregar nossas vidas a Ele!
“Agora Deus nos revelou sua vontade secreta a respeito de Cristo, isto é, o cumprimento de seu bom propósito. 10 E o plano é este: no devido tempo, ele reunirá sob a autoridade de Cristo tudo que existe nos céus e na terra. 11 Além disso, em Cristo nós nos tornamos herdeiros de Deus,[c] pois ele nos predestinou conforme seu plano e faz que tudo ocorra de acordo com sua vontade.
12 O propósito de Deus era que nós, os primeiros a confiar em Cristo, louvássemos a Deus e lhe déssemos glória. 13 Agora vocês também ouviram a verdade, as boas-novas da salvação. E, quando creram em Cristo, ele colocou sobre vocês o selo do Espírito Santo que havia prometido. 14 O Espírito é a garantia de nossa herança, até o dia em que Deus nos resgatará como sua propriedade, para o louvor de sua glória.“(…)
“É o mesmo poder grandioso 20 que ressuscitou Cristo dos mortos e o fez sentar-se no lugar de honra, à direita de Deus, nos domínios celestiais. 21 Agora ele está muito acima de qualquer governante, autoridade, poder, líder ou qualquer outro nome não apenas neste mundo, mas também no futuro. 22 Deus submeteu todas as coisas à autoridade de Cristo e o fez cabeça de tudo, para o bem da igreja. 23 E a igreja é seu corpo; ela é preenchida e completada por Cristo, que enche consigo mesmo todas as coisas em toda parte.“(Efésios 1:9-14/19-23)
Isso é poderoso, não é? Apenas deixe que essas palavras se aprofundem em seu coração e peça a Deus para torná-las claras para você!

Hello dear reader! How have you been? Today I want to reflect a little on what it means to be free! I hope this reflection blesses you! Enjoy it! =)
The gift of freedom that Jesus conquered for us on the cross is definitive and complete. It happens right at the moment we confess Jesus as our Savior and Lord! However, the practice of this life of freedom it is gradually developed, because we need to learn, day by day, with the Scriptures, that we are new creatures in Christ! Now we are sons and daughters of His Kingdom.
What we used to practice and love in the past, our old identity, does not belong to us anymore. It is a daily challenge to embrace this free new life, because it is our mindset that guides our actions and decisions.
If Christ already set us free of the slavery of sins and the burden of accusation( and He did!) so we must live accordily with this new standard!
Day after day, we must choose to get rid of those voices of accusation inside of our heads and those that surrounds us. There are, also, old thoughts that want to make us believe that we are not capable of changing, that we are still the same. That is a dirt lie from the enemy!
We are not a slave anymore, our old habits and thoughts does not defines us anymore. We can say “no” to temptation and sins that used to rule over us! God’s grace makes us able to walk according to His Word, embracing the freedom that Jesus already conquered for us!

I hope that encourages you to surrender all your burdens to Jesus! Whether sins, battles, tempations or voices of accusation inside your head. He can handle it! Just be honest with Him and ask for help. He is always willing to rescue us and walk with us, side by side!
“You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love (…)
“So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whateveryou want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.” (Galatins 5:13-18)
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2
Abraçando o dom da liberdade!
“Éé para a liberdade que Cristo nos libertou. Mantenham-se firmes, então, e não se deixem sobrecarregar novamente por um jugo de escravidão.” (Gálatas 5:1)
Olá querido leitor! Como você tem passado? Hoje quero refletir um pouco sobre o que significa ser livre! Espero que essa reflexão te abençoe!
O dom da liberdade que Jesus conquistou para nós na cruz é definitivo e completo. Tomamos posse dele no exato momento em que confessamos Jesus como nosso Senhor e Salvador! Porém, a prática desta vida de liberdade se desenvolve gradativamente, pois precisamos aprender, dia após dia com as Escrituras, que somos novas criaturas em Cristo! Agora somos filhos e filhas de Seu Reino.
O que costumávamos praticar e amar no passado, nossa antiga identidade, não nos pertence mais. É um desafio diário abraçar essa nova vida de liberdade, porque é nossa mentalidade que orienta nossas ações e decisões.
Se Cristo já nos libertou da escravidão dos pecados e do fardo da acusação (e Ele o fez!), então devemos viver de acordo com esse novo padrão!
Dia após dia, devemos optar por nos livrar dessas vozes de acusação dentro de nossas cabeças e daquelas que nos cercam. Há, aqueles velhos pensamentos que ainda querem nos fazer acreditar que não somos capazes de mudar, que ainda somos os mesmos. Isso é uma mentira do inimigo!
Não somos mais escravos, nossos velhos hábitos e pensamentos não nos definem mais. Podemos dizer “não” à tentação e aos pecados que costumavam nos dominar! A graça de Deus nos torna capazes de andar de acordo com a Sua Palavra, abraçando a liberdade que Jesus já conquistou para nós!
“Senhor, sou muito grata por seu perdão e redenção entregues a mim! Mostre-me como colocar minha liberdade em prática! Ajude-me a ficar longe das velhas coisas que costumavam governar minha vida! Em nome de Jesus, amem.” (Do devocional “Strong”, de Lisa Bevere)
Espero que isso o encoraje a entregar todos os seus fardos a Jesus! Sejam pecados, batalhas, tentações ou vozes de acusação dentro de sua cabeça. Ele pode lidar com isso! Apenas seja honesto com Ele e peça ajuda. Ele está sempre disposto a nos resgatar e caminhar conosco, lado a lado!
“Vocês, meus irmãos e irmãs, foram chamados para serem livres. Mas não usem sua liberdade para satisfazer a carne; em vez disso, sirvam uns aos outros humildemente em amor (…)
“Então eu digo, ande pelo Espírito, e você não satisfará os desejos da carne. 17 Pois os desejos da carne o que é contrário ao Espírito, e o Espírito o que é contrário à carne. Eles estão em conflito um com o outro, para que você não faça o que quiser. 18 Mas se você for guiado pelo Espírito, você não está sob a lei.” (Gálatas 5:13-18)
