These past few weeks definetely challenged me to be patient and hold on faith!
Even knowing that God is always good and that He is control, sometimes my thoughts run wild and make me very anxious! I don’t like to wait. However I know that patience is a fruit of the Spirit and it helps me to enlarge my faith and strength! It is training my arms for battle.
I don’t know if you are struggling like me, waiting for something to happen, but I felt I should share about it again! I hope it helps you to hold on faith and keep walking in trust. Our God is good. All the time!
“True faith is never in a hurry. It knows how to wait. It trusts wholly in me and in my wisdom. Many trust in my power, but few wait to trust in my wisdom. I have a time and a plan that is beyond you, a reason for every delay...Wait patiently, fully convinced that I am in control, and your character will be refined.” ( from “I hear His Whisper” -written by Brian Simmons and Gretchen Rodriguez)
We all have plans and dreams we are hoping to live! If you are a friend and partner of God, you are hoping and waiting on Him for the fullfilment of these plans, right?!
However, this waiting must not be passive. That involves acts of faith and trust!
The Word says, in Hebrews 11, that every man and woman of God had promises in their lives and they had to believe and act in agreement with those promises!
What God expects from us it’s a partnership, that involves listen and acting in trust of His faithfulness. It is not easy, but we are called to a spiritual growth as we walk in faith.
The more we trust and act from that trust, the more our partnership with God become stronger. We learn to be more confident in what He tells us and, step by step, we leave behind our spiritual childhood!
While we wait, we need to build “faith muscles”. That means we need to put into practice what we believe and have learned in the Scriptures! We are not called to see and then, act.
Faith means that we will step forward even when we don’t see the ground under our feet. I know, it is scary sometimes! But it is also exciting and rewarding, as we grow!
The more we learn and put into action what we’ve learned, the more we overcome the insecurity, the fear of failure that used to hold us back!
Everytime God asks us to walk in faith, He empowers us to do it. He also reminds us of everytime in the past, that we trusted in Him and we were not disappointed!
I challenge you to do tthis exercise everytime you need some encouragement to act: Bring to your mind the situations when only God could help you out and He did it! He was your shield and your comfort. He’s still the same!
I know that waiting can be hard and that we feel discouraged some days, but the secret is: We do not sink in that feeling! We declare the truth over us and command our souls to praise God, to believe and keep going, even when it feels heavy!
We must not be guided by our feelings, we are called to be guided by His Words. So feed your heart and mind with it! And watch the transformation that only this spiritual food can cause inside of you.
Be perssistent! Our faith muscles need some time to grow =)
“The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see. The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd. By faith, we see the world called into existence by God’s word, what we see created by what we don’t see.” (…)
It’s impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him. (Hebrews 11: 1-2/6)
A verdadeira FÉ sabe como esperar!
Ei amigo! Como você tem passado? Espero que bem 😉
Estas últimas semanas definitivamente me desafiaram a ser paciente e manter a fé!
Mesmo sabendo que Deus é sempre bom e que Ele é o controle, às vezes meus pensamentos correm soltos e me deixam muito ansiosa! Eu não gosto de esperar. No entanto, sei que a paciência é fruto do Espírito e me ajuda a aumentar minha fé e força! Está treinando meus braços para a batalha.
Não sei se você está lutando assim como eu, esperando que algo aconteça, mas senti que deveria compartilhar sobre isso novamente! Espero que isso ajude você a manter a fé e continuar andando na confiança de que o nosso Deus é bom. O tempo todo!
“A verdadeira fé nunca está com pressa. Ela sabe como esperar. Ela confia totalmente em mim e na minha sabedoria. Muitos confiam no meu poder, mas poucos esperam confiando na minha sabedoria. Todos nós temos planos e sonhos que esperamos viver! Se você é amigo e parceiro de Deus, você está esperando Nele para a realização desses planos, certo?! No entanto, essa espera não pode ser passiva. Isso envolve atos de fé e confiança!
A Palavra diz, em Hebreus 11, que todos os homens e mulheres de Deus tinham promessas em suas vidas e eles tiveram que acreditar e agir de acordo com essas promessas!
O que Deus espera de nós é parceria, que envolve ouvir e agir confiando em Sua fidelidade. Não é fácil! Mas somos chamados ao crescimento espiritual, à medida que caminhamos em fé. Quanto mais confiamos e agimos desse lugar de confiança, mais a nossa parceria com Deus se torna forte. Aprendemos a ser mais confiantes no que Ele nos diz e, aos poucos, deixamos de ser “crianças espirituais”! (1 Coríntios 3)
Enquanto esperamos, precisamos construir esses “músculos de fé”. Isso significa que precisamos colocar em prática o que acreditamos e aprendemos nas Escrituras! Não somos chamados para ver e então agir.
Fé significa que daremos um passo à frente mesmo quando não virmos o chão sob nossos pés. Eu sei, as vezes é assustador! Mas também é empolgante e gratificante, à medida que crescemos!
Quanto mais aprendemos e colocamos em ação o que aprendemos, mais superamos a insegurança, o medo do fracasso que costumava nos segurar!
Sempre que Deus nos pede para andarmos em fé, Ele nos capacita a fazê-lo. Ele também nos lembra de todas as vezes que, no passado, confiamos Nele e não fomos desapontados!
Eu o desafio a fazer este exercício sempre que precisar de algum incentivo para agir: Traga à sua mente as situações em que somente Deus poderia te ajudar e Ele o fez! Ele foi seu escudo e conforto. Ele ainda é o mesmo!
Eu sei que esperar pode ser difícil e que nos sentimos desanimados alguns dias, mas o segredo é: Não nos afundarmos nesse sentimento! Declaramos a verdade sobre nós e mandamos nossas almas louvarem a Deus, acreditarem e seguirem em frente, mesmo quando o dia parece pesado!
Não devemos ser guiados pelos nossos sentimentos, somos chamados a ser guiados pela Palavra. Então alimente seu coração e mente com ela! E observe a transformação que somente este alimento espiritual pode causar dentro de você.
Seja persistente! Nossos músculos espirituais precisam de algum tempo para se desenvolver =)
“Ora, a fé é a certeza daquilo que esperamos e a prova das coisas que não vemos. Pois foi por meio dela que os antigos receberam bom testemunho. Pela fé entendemos que o universo foi formado pela palavra de Deus, de modo que aquilo se vê não foi feito do que é visível.” (…) Sem fé é impossível agradar a Deus, pois quem dele se aproxima precisa crer que ele existe e que recompensa aqueles que o buscam.” (Hebreus 11:1-2/6)
11-12 Then he said, “There was once a man who had two sons. The younger said to his father, ‘Father, I want right now what’s coming to me.’
12-16 “So the father divided the property between them. It wasn’t long before the younger son packed his bags and left for a distant country. There, undisciplined and dissipated, he wasted everything he had. After he had gone through all his money, there was a bad famine all through that country and he began to feel it. He signed on with a citizen there who assigned him to his fields to slop the pigs. He was so hungry he would have eaten the corn-cobs in the pig slop, but no one would give him any.
17-20 “That brought him to his senses. He said, ‘All those farmhands working for my father sit down to three meals a day, and here I am starving to death. I’m going back to my father. I’ll say to him, Father, I’ve sinned against God, I’ve sinned before you; I don’t deserve to be called your son. Take me on as a hired hand.’ He got right up and went home to his father.
20-21 “When he was still a long way off, his father saw him. His heart pounding, he ran out, embraced him, and kissed him. The son started his speech: ‘Father, I’ve sinned against God, I’ve sinned before you; I don’t deserve to be called your son ever again.’
22-24 “But the father wasn’t listening. He was calling to the servants, ‘Quick. Bring a clean set of clothes and dress him. Put the family ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Then get a prize-winning heifer and roast it. We’re going to feast! We’re going to have a wonderful time! My son is here—given up for dead and now alive! Given up for lost and now found!’ And they began to have a wonderful time.
25-27 “All this time his older son was out in the field. When the day’s work was done he came in. As he approached the house, he heard the music and dancing. Calling over one of the houseboys, he asked what was going on. He told him, ‘Your brother came home. Your father has ordered a feast—barbecued beef!—because he has him home safe and sound.’(…)
Hello dear reader! How are you doing today? I hope you are safe and sound!
Today I want to share a reflection with you, over this famous Jesus’ parable about the prodigal son!
If you are a Christian, you already know that we were all prodigal sons in our lives! This story represents you and I, and how we decide to use our “freedom” to do whatever we’d like! We spent our years and energy satisfying our flesh and at some point, we discovered that the so called “freedom” it is actually slavery!
When we lived as the prodigal son, we became a slave of our own desires and peoples’ opinion, untill it consumed us deeply. Then, there was a moment, probably when we were in the end of our rope, we had to realize that in our Father’s House, we used to have a pretty good life and the best food of all! Finally, we came to our senses and decided to come back, right? Most of us experienced it!
However, today I want to go further in this story and talk about something that God shared with me: More than just bring His sons and daughters back to His Presence, He wants to restitute us!
God’s desires was always that we have what He planned for humankind since the beginning: Communion with Him, identitty as sons and authority over the creation!
If you take a good look in this story that represents us and God, you will realize that, when the son got back home, the Father is not only happy and pleased to receive him bak, he is also willing to restitute the position the son had before: He put sandals on his feet, new and clean clothes and a ring on his finger! He is saying: “You are my found and beloved son, you are part of this family and I’m giving you back everything you left behind: Your position, your identity and the enhiretance and authority as member of this family!
He also gives him a huge party, to declare to everyone that he is receiving his son back, renewing the communion with his once lost son, that now is found! He is happy and proud to have him back in the family.
After the fall, Adam lost the direct connection he used to have with God. However, God had already a plan, and through Jesus, He reconnected us with Him, restituing the communion we had in the beginning! How amazing s that? Look what Paul says in Romans 5:6-14:
“6-8 Christ arrives right on time to make this happen. He didn’t, and doesn’t, wait for us to get ready. He presented himself for this sacrificial death when we were far too weak and rebellious to do anything to get ourselves ready. And even if we hadn’t been so weak, we wouldn’t have known what to do anyway. We can understand someone dying for a person worth dying for, and we can understand how someone good and noble could inspire us to selfless sacrifice. But God put his love on the line for us by offering his Son in sacrificial death while we were of no use whatever to him.
9-11 Now that we are set right with God by means of this sacrificial death, the consummate blood sacrifice, there is no longer a question of being at odds with God in any way. If, when we were at our worst, we were put on friendly terms with God by the sacrificial death of his Son, now that we’re at our best, just think of how our lives will expand and deepen by means of his resurrection life! Now that we have actually received this amazing friendship with God, we are no longer content to simply say it in plodding prose. We sing and shout our praises to God through Jesus, the Messiah!
You know the story of how Adam landed us in the dilemma we’re in—first sin, then death, and no one exempt from either sin or death. That sin disturbed relations with God in everything and everyone, but the extent of the disturbance was not clear until God spelled it out in detail to Moses. So death, this huge abyss separating us from God, dominated the landscape from Adam to Moses. Even those who didn’t sin precisely as Adam did by disobeying a specific command of God still had to experience this termination of life, this separation from God. But Adam, who got us into this, also points ahead to the One who will get us out of it.“
This passage make very clear that God has already a plan for humankind, even before the fall! He knew that we’d need a great help from above to deal with the problem of sin, that makes separation between us and Him. The Father prepared and planned all the history to restore us back to Him, through the sacrificial death of His beloved Son, Jesus Christ!
There is nothing we could do to deserve or achieve this salvation, but God gives freely this gift, thorugh Jesus Christ, that set us free and restores us and sons and daughters! All we need to do to RECONNECT with God is to recognize Jesus as our Lord and Savior, and surrender our lives to Him!
“It’s in Christ that you, once you heard the truth and believed it (this Message of your salvation), found yourselves home free—signed, sealed, and delivered by the Holy Spirit. This down payment from God is the first installment on what’s coming, a reminder that we’ll get everything God has planned for us, a praising and glorious life.
15-19 That’s why, when I heard of the solid trust you have in the Master Jesus and your outpouring of love to all the followers of Jesus, I couldn’t stop thanking God for you—every time I prayed, I’d think of you and give thanks. But I do more than thank. I ask—ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory—to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for his followers, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him—endless energy, boundless strength!
20-23All this energy issues from Christ: God raised him from death and set him on a throne in deep heaven, in charge of running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments, no name and no power exempt from his rule. And not just for the time being, but forever. He is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything. At the center of all this, Christ rules the church. The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ’s body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence.“
That is powerful, isn’ t it? Just let these words deepen in your heart and ask God to make it plain to you!
So, in the next post, I’ll talk about the 2 other things that God wants to restore in us, through Jesus: Our identity as His sons and daughter and our authority as part of His famity, to fulfill the purpose we all have in this life and the life to come, as co-heirs with Christ!
“Jesus continuou: “Um homem tinha dois filhos. 12 O filho mais jovem disse ao pai: ‘Quero a minha parte da herança’, e o pai dividiu seus bens entre os filhos.
13 “Alguns dias depois, o filho mais jovem arrumou suas coisas e se mudou para uma terra distante, onde desperdiçou tudo que tinha por viver de forma desregrada. 14 Quando seu dinheiro acabou, uma grande fome se espalhou pela terra, e ele começou a passar necessidade. 15 Convenceu um fazendeiro da região a empregá-lo, e esse homem o mandou a seus campos para cuidar dos porcos. 16 Embora quisesse saciar a fome com as vagens dadas aos porcos, ninguém lhe dava coisa alguma.
17 “Quando finalmente caiu em si, disse: ‘Até os empregados de meu pai têm comida de sobra, e eu estou aqui, morrendo de fome. 18 Vou retornar à casa de meu pai e dizer: Pai, pequei contra o céu e contra o senhor, 19 e não sou mais digno de ser chamado seu filho. Por favor, trate-me como seu empregado’.
20 “Então voltou para a casa de seu pai. Quando ele ainda estava longe, seu pai o viu. Cheio de compaixão, correu para o filho, o abraçou e o beijou. 21 O filho disse: ‘Pai, pequei contra o céu e contra o senhor, e não sou mais digno de ser chamado seu filho’.[b]
22 “O pai, no entanto, disse aos servos: ‘Depressa! Tragam a melhor roupa da casa e vistam nele. Coloquem-lhe um anel no dedo e sandálias nos pés. 23 Matem o novilho gordo. Faremos um banquete e celebraremos, 24 pois este meu filho estava morto e voltou à vida. Estava perdido e foi achado!’. E começaram a festejar.(…)
Olá caro leitor! Como você está hoje? Espero que você esteja são e salvo!
Hoje quero compartilhar com vocês uma reflexão sobre esta famosa parábola de Jesus: O filho pródigo!
Se você é cristão, já sabe que todos fomos filhos pródigos em nossas vidas! Esta história representa você e eu, e como decidimos usar nossa “liberdade” para fazer o que queríamos! Gastamos nossos anos e energia satisfazendo nossa carne e em algum momento, descobrimos que o que o mundo chama de “liberdade” é na verdade escravidão!
Quando vivíamos como filho pródigo, nos tornamos escravos de nossos próprios desejos e da opinião das pessoas, até que isso nos consumiu completamente. Em um determinado momento, provavelmente quando estávamos no fundo do poço, nós finalmente percebemos que na Casa do nosso Pai nós costumávamos ter uma vida muito boa e a melhor comida de todas! Finalmente, recuperamos o bom senso e decidimos voltar, certo? A maioria de nós experimentou isso!
No entanto, hoje quero ir mais longe nesta história e falar sobre algo que Deus compartilhou comigo: Mais do que apenas trazer Seus filhos e filhas de volta à Sua Presença, Ele quer nos restituir!
O desejo de Deus é que tenhamos o que Ele planejou para a humanidade desde o início: Comunhão com Ele, identidade como filhos e autoridade sobre a criação!
Se você der uma boa olhada nessa história que representa a nós e a Deus, você perceberá que, quando o filho volta para casa, o Pai não está apenas feliz e satisfeito por recebê-lo de volta, ele também está disposto a restituir a posição que o filho tinha antes: Ele coloca sandálias nos seus pés, roupas novas e limpas e um anel em seu dedo! Ele está dizendo: “Você é meu filho encontrado e amado, você faz parte desta família e eu estou lhe devolvendo tudo o que você deixou para trás: Sua posição, sua identidade e a posse da autoridade como membro desta família!
Ele também lhe dá uma grande festa, para mostrar a todos que está recebendo seu filho de volta, renovando a comunhão com seu filho perdido, que agora foi encontrado! Ele está feliz e orgulhoso de tê-lo de volta à comunhão familiar.
-Comunhão:
Desde o início, o que Deus realmente queria com o homem era a comunhão! Ele criou o homem e a mulher e os colocou no jardim do Éden, onde eles tinham uma convivência diária com Deus! Eles podiam ouvi-lo claramente e falar com ele todos os dias! Após a queda, Adão perdeu a conexão direta que costumava ter com Deus. Porém, Deus já tinha um plano, e através de Jesus, Ele nos reconectou com Ele, restituindo a comunhão que tínhamos no início! Quão incrível é isso? Veja o que Paulo diz em Romanos 5:6-17:
“Quando estávamos completamente desamparados, Cristo veio na hora certa e morreu por nós, pecadores. 7 É pouco provável que alguém morresse por um justo, embora talvez alguém se dispusesse a morrer por uma pessoa boa. 8 Mas Deus nos prova seu grande amor ao enviar Cristo para morrer por nós quando ainda éramos pecadores. 9 E, uma vez que fomos declarados justos por seu sangue, certamente seremos salvos da ira de Deus por meio dele. 10 Pois, se quando ainda éramos inimigos de Deus nosso relacionamento com ele foi restaurado pela morte de seu Filho, agora que já estamos reconciliados certamente seremos salvos por sua vida. 11 Agora, portanto, podemos nos alegrar em Deus, com quem fomos reconciliados por meio de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.
12 Quando Adão pecou, o pecado entrou no mundo, e com ele a morte, que se estendeu a todos, porque todos pecaram. 13 É fato que as pessoas pecaram antes que a lei fosse concedida, mas, porque ela não existia, seus pecados não foram levados em conta. 14 Mesmo assim, do tempo de Adão até o de Moisés, todos morreram, incluindo os que não desobedeceram a uma ordem explícita de Deus, como Adão desobedeceu. Na verdade, Adão é um símbolo, uma representação daquele que ainda haveria de vir. 15 Mas há uma grande diferença entre o pecado de Adão e a dádiva de Deus. Pois o pecado de um único homem trouxe morte para muitos. Ainda maior, porém, é a graça de Deus e sua dádiva que veio sobre muitos por meio de um único homem, Jesus Cristo. 16 E o resultado da dádiva de Deus é bem diferente do resultado do pecado de um único homem, pois enquanto o pecado de Adão levou à condenação, a dádiva de Deus nos possibilita ser declarados justos diante dele, apesar de nossos muitos pecados. 17 A morte reinou sobre muitos por meio do pecado de um único homem. Ainda maior, porém, é a graça de Deus e sua dádiva de justiça, e todos que a recebem reinarão em vida por meio de um único homem, Jesus Cristo.”
Essa passagem deixa muito claro que Deus já tinha um plano para a humanidade, mesmo antes da queda! Ele sabia que precisaríamos de uma grande ajuda do alto para lidar com o problema do pecado, que faz a separação entre nós e Ele. O Pai preparou e planejou toda a história para nos devolver a Ele, através da morte sacrificial de Seu Filho amado, Jesus Cristo!
Não há nada que possamos fazer para merecer ou alcançar essa salvação, mas Deus nos dá gratuitamente esse presente, por meio de Jesus Cristo, que nos liberta e restaura a nós e filhos e filhas! Tudo o que precisamos fazer para nos RECONECTAR com Deus é reconhecer Jesus como nosso Senhor e Salvador e entregar nossas vidas a Ele!
“Agora Deus nos revelou sua vontade secreta a respeito de Cristo, isto é, o cumprimento de seu bom propósito. 10 E o plano é este: no devido tempo, ele reunirá sob a autoridade de Cristo tudo que existe nos céus e na terra. 11 Além disso, em Cristo nós nos tornamos herdeiros de Deus,[c] pois ele nos predestinou conforme seu plano e faz que tudo ocorra de acordo com sua vontade.
12 O propósito de Deus era que nós, os primeiros a confiar em Cristo, louvássemos a Deus e lhe déssemos glória. 13 Agora vocês também ouviram a verdade, as boas-novas da salvação. E, quando creram em Cristo, ele colocou sobre vocês o selo do Espírito Santo que havia prometido. 14 O Espírito é a garantia de nossa herança, até o dia em que Deus nos resgatará como sua propriedade, para o louvor de sua glória.“(…)
“É o mesmo poder grandioso 20 que ressuscitou Cristo dos mortos e o fez sentar-se no lugar de honra, à direita de Deus, nos domínios celestiais. 21 Agora ele está muito acima de qualquer governante, autoridade, poder, líder ou qualquer outro nome não apenas neste mundo, mas também no futuro. 22 Deus submeteu todas as coisas à autoridade de Cristo e o fez cabeça de tudo, para o bem da igreja. 23 E a igreja é seu corpo; ela é preenchida e completada por Cristo, que enche consigo mesmo todas as coisas em toda parte.“(Efésios 1:9-14/19-23)
Isso é poderoso, não é? Apenas deixe que essas palavras se aprofundem em seu coração e peça a Deus para torná-las claras para você!
No próximo post, falarei sobre as outras 2 coisas que Deus quer restaurar em nós, através de Jesus: Nossa identidade como Seus filhos e filhas e nossa autoridade como parte de Sua família, para cumprir o propósito que todos temos nesta vida e na vida futura, como co-herdeiros com Cristo!

Today I will continue to share with you the post about temptation, that was based on the devotional “3 secrets about temptation”, to help you dealing with this commom battle, that we all have to face, eventually!
So, I want to go through these 3 secrets, to show you that you can fight back the lies of the enemy, who is trying to put things our heads, like: ” You are alone in this; you are not worthy of forgiveness! This sin is too great for the mercy of Jesus!”(hahaha lets laugh on this one!)
The first secret we should know about tempation is this:
1.Temptations are commom to all men.
“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind.(…)”. (1Corinthians 10:13)
No matter what kind of tempatition you may face, someone in your own house, church, city or counrty are facing the same battleS than you. There is nothing to be ashamed of. We are humans and since we have a fallen nature, we are going to face tempations and all kind of troubles.
The enemy wants you to think that you are the olny one battling with the temptation of giving up, the temptation of telling lie,the only one dealing with sexual tempation (like sex before marriage or watch porn) or the temptation of jump into a relationship that is not God’s will for you!
No matter what you are being tempeted of, God knows that it are commom to humankind, and He is ready to help!
“Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
2. Temptation is not a sin! (But is seeking to overtake you!)
“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.“
“But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”
Temptation is active! The goal is to overtake you so it can give a birth to sin. However, if you decide to fight it back, God gives you a way out. You can actually choose not to sin!
The desire to do something sinful it is not itself a sin, but when we give up and do it anyway, then we are chosing to comit a sin.
There is always a option, a way out to scape from the temptation before it takes a form of sin!( Like Joseph did in Genesis 39:1-12)
“As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. 15 But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16 for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” (1 Peter 1:14-16)
Don’t let the guilt of tempation overtakes you, because the enemy is always trying to make us believe that we already sinned in our temptation. That is a lie, declare the Word of God outloud when this thought comes your way!
3. But God is faithful!
“But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” (1Corinthians 10:13)
9 …The Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials…” (2 Peter 2:9)
If God demands holiness from His children, that means He provides a way to live a holy life! It is not a impossible task.
He is faithful and He will not let us alone in our battles. He will always provide a way, giving us strategies and weapons to fight back the power of darkness!(Ephesians 6:10-20)
He will shows up right on time, we just need to call on His name when temptations come after us!(Psalm 18:16-18)
The Scripture proves, over and over, that we have the authority through Christ to overcome all the evil power that raises against us! We have a loyal High Priest that is always interciding for us, with a compassionate heart, because He knows our weaknesses!
“The Lord will rescue his servants; no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.”Psalm 34:22
“He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David 70 (as he said through his holy prophets of long ago), 71 salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us— 72 to show mercy to our ancestors and to remember his holy covenant, 73 the oath he swore to our father Abraham: 74 to rescue us from the hand of our enemies, and to enable us to serve him without fear 75 in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.”(Luke 1:69-75)
This, then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, 10 your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us today our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one! Amen” (Mathew 6:9-13)
Uma batalha comum!
Olá querido leitor! Como você está? Espero que você estejabem!
Hoje eu vou continuar com a parte 2 sobre tentação, que foi baseado no devocional “3 segredos sobre a tentação”, para ajudá-lo a lidar com essa batalha comum, que todos nós temos que enfrentar, eventualmente!
Eu quero discorrer sobre esses 3 segredos, para mostrar que você pode lutar contra as mentiras que o inimigo está tentando colocar na nossa cabeça, como por exemplo: “Você está sozinho nisso; você não é digno de perdão! Esse pecado é grandes demais para a misericórdia de Jesus!” (hahaha vamos rir dessa!)
O primeiro segredo que devemos saber sobre a tentação é o seguinte:
1.As tentações são comuns a todos os homens.
“Nenhuma tentação o alcançou, exceto o que é comum à humanidade.(…)” (1 Coríntios 10:13)
Não importa que tipo de tentação você possa enfrentar, alguém em sua própria casa, igreja, cidade ou país está enfrentando as mesmas batalhas que você. Não há do que se envergonhar. Somos humanos e como temos uma natureza caída, vamos enfrentar tentações e todo tipo de problemas.
O inimigo quer que você pense que você é o único lutando contra a tentação de desistir, a tentação de mentir, o único que lida com a tentação sexual (como assistir pornografia ou ter relações antes do casamento) ou a tentação de entrar em um relacionamento que não é a vontade de Deus para você!
Não importa no que você está sendo tentado, Deus sabe que é comum à humanidade, e Ele está pronto para ajudar!
“Portanto, uma vez que temos um grande sumo sacerdote que ascendeu ao céu, Jesus, o Filho de Deus, nos apeguemos firmemente à fé que professamos. 15 Pois não temos um sumo sacerdote que não possa compadecer-se de nossas fraquezas, mas temos um que foi tentado de todas as maneiras, assim como nós, mas ele não pecou. 16 Aproximemo-nos, então, do trono da graça de Deus com confiança, para que possamos receber misericórdia e encontrar graça para nos ajudar em nosso momento de necessidade.”
2. A tentação não é pecado!
“Pois não temos um sumo sacerdote incapaz de simpatizar com nossas fraquezas, mas temos um que foi tentado de todas as maneiras, assim como nós, mas ele não pecou.“
“Mas quando você for tentado, ele também fornecerá uma saída para que você possa suportar.”
A tentação é sempre ativa! O objetivo dela é vencê-lo para que você dê à luz ao pecado. No entanto, se você decidir lutar, Deus lhe dará uma saída. Você pode escolher não pecar!
O desejo de fazer algo pecaminoso não é em si um pecado, mas quando desistimos de lutar e escolhemos nos render, aí sim estamos escolhendo cometer um pecado.
Sempre há uma opção, uma saída para escapar da tentação antes que ela se transforme em pecado!( Como José fez em Gênesis 39:1-12)
“Como filhos obedientes, não se conformem aos desejos malignos que você tinha quando vivia na ignorância. 15 Mas assim como aquele que vos chamou é santo, portanto sejam santos em tudo o que fizerem; 16 pois está escrito: “Sede santos, porque eu sou santo.” (1 Pedro 1:14-16)
Não deixe a culpa pela tentação tomar conta de você, porque o inimigo está sempre tentando nos fazer acreditar que já pecamos em nossa tentação. Isso é mentira! Declare a Palavra de Deus em voz alta quando este pensamento vier atacar a sua mente!
3. Mas Deus é fiel!
“Mas quando você for tentado, Ele também dará uma saída para que você possa suportar.” (1 Coríntios 10:13)
“…O Senhor sabe como livrar os piedosos das provações…” (2 Pedro 2:9)
Se Deus requer santidade de Seus filhos, isso significa que Ele fornece uma maneira de viver uma vida santa! Não é uma tarefa impossível.
Ele é fiel e não nos deixará sozinhos em nossas batalhas. Ele sempre fornecerá um caminho, dando-nos estratégias e armas para combater o poder das trevas! (Efésios 6:10-20)
Ele virá na hora certa, só precisamos clamar pelo Seu nome quando as tentações vierem atrás de nós!(Salmo 18:16-18)
A Escritura prova, repetidamente, que temos autoridade por meio de Cristo para vencer todo o poder maligno que se levanta contra nossa vida! Temos um Sumo Sacerdote leal que está sempre intercedendo por nós, com o coração compassivo, porque Ele conhece e experimentou nossas fraquezas!
“O Senhor, porém, resgatará os que o servem; ninguém que nele se refugia será condenado.” Salmos 34:22
“Ele nos enviou poderosa salvação da linhagem real de seu servo Davi, 70 como havia prometido muito tempo atrás por meio de seus santos profetas. 71 Agora seremos salvos de nossos inimigos e de todos que nos odeiam. 72 Ele foi misericordioso com nossos antepassados ao lembrar-se de sua santa aliança, 73 o juramento solene que fez com nosso antepassado Abraão. 74 Prometeu livrar-nos de nossos inimigos para o servirmos sem medo, 75 em santidade e justiça, enquanto vivermos.” ( Lucas 1:69-75)
“Portanto, orem da seguinte forma:
“Pai nosso que estás no céu, santificado seja o teu nome.10 Venha o teu reino. Seja feita a tua vontade, assim na terra como no céu.11 Dá-nos hoje o pão para este dia,12 e perdoa nossas dívidas, assim como perdoamos os nossos devedores.13 E não nos deixes cair em tentação, mas livra-nos do mal. Pois teu é o reino, o poder e a glória para sempre. Amém.“( Mateus 6:9-13)
“Keep vigilant watch over your heart; that’s where life starts. Don’t talk out of both sides of your mouth; avoid careless banter, white lies, and gossip. Keep your eyes straight ahead; ignore all sideshow distractions. Watch your step, and the road will stretch out smooth before you. Look neither right nor left; leave evil in the dust.“

Yesterday, during my prayer set with a friend, we were talking about the coming elections in 2022, and how it will affects us!
I’ve learned in these past few years that I can’t put my hope in men or politics! I used to be very connected to this subject, always involved in debates, marchs and, to be honest, I was very agressive with people when this topic was in evidence.
Thinking about the current days, we were discussing how we, Christians(in general), are shaming the name of Jesus on social media, always arguing about politics, theology or other polemic issue. It is so heartbreaking to think that this is the “bible” the world is reading!
When the bible talks about guarding our hearts, it is very specific about not allowing us to embrace useless conversations, gossip, distractions of any type. Now it is the time to let all those unimport subjects go and just focus our eyes on Jesus!
The Word says that “This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples—when they see the love you have for eachother.”( John 13:35). It sounds so cliche I know, but sometimes it seems like we are forgeting about the basic matters of the Gospel.
I just want to inspire you to think about it today:
What are stealing your heart from the Presence and Sovereignity of God? It can be distractions like these that makes you angry and imcapable to love, worries about the future, emotional dependence to others, I don’t know. But you, deeply inside, knows what is going on inside your heart! Put it before God and ask Him to help you and empty you from everthing that is robing His place as Lord in your life!
Only when we deeply know who Gos is, we are able to love Him and have a honest and intimate relationship with Him! Ask Him to show to you who He really is, He will love to show you how much He loves and cares about you! This is the only way we are also able to love others and show this love in a way that the world will recognize us as disciples of Christ!
It is not by violence or power, every deep transformation of ourselves and people around us, will come by the Spirit of God! Cry out for this Sipitrit to come and be poured out into our lives! Because we can’t do it by ourselves. We need Christ to transform our reality an the way we look to others!
This is the reflection I want to let for you today: What kind of bible the world is reading when they look at you? They are seeing a restoring Love that forgives sins and heals hearts or only judgement and condennation?
We want to be a generation recognized by the overflowing Love of Jesus, that erases a mutitude of sins, right? I do!
Let’s fight for this, not arguing with otthers to prove a point! Let’s fight for it in prayer, rennunciation and to live in peace with others, no matter if they agree with us or not! Let’s choose freedom and peace instead of the right to be right( haha)
I pray that God will transforms our hearts and our way to look to others, so we can love like He does! Amen.
“You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light. 29 With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall.
30 As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him. 31 For who is God besides the Lord? Ei amigo! Como você está?
Ontem, durante uma reunião de oração com um amigo, estávamos conversando sobre as próximas eleições em 2022 e como isso nos afetará! (Calma, não é sobre isso…rs)
Eu aprendi nestes últimos anos que não posso colocar minha esperança nos homens ou na política! Eu costumava ser muito ligada a esse assunto, sempre envolvida em debates, marchas e tudo o mais. E para ser sincera, eu era bem agressiva com as pessoas quando esse assunto estava em evidência.
Pensando nos dias atuais, estávamos discutindo como nós, cristãos (em geral), estamos envergonhando o nome de Jesus nas redes sociais, sempre discutindo sobre política, teologia ou outra questão polêmica. É triste pensar que esta é a “bíblia” que o mundo está lendo!
Quando a bíblia fala sobre proteger nossos corações, ela é muito específica sobre não nos permitir abraçar conversas inúteis, fofocas e distrações de qualquer tipo. Agora é a hora de deixar todos esses assuntos sem importância pra lá e apenas focar nossos olhos em Jesus!
A Palavra diz que “ É assim que todos reconhecerão que vocês são meus discípulos – quando virem o amor que vocês têm uns pelos outros. ” (João 13:35). Parece tão clichê, eu sei, mas às vezes parece que estamos esquecendo as questões básicas do Evangelho.
Eu só quero inspirar você a pensar sobre isso hoje:
O que está roubando seu coração da Presença e da Soberania de Deus? Podem ser distrações como essas que o deixam com raiva e incapaz de amar, preocupações sobre o futuro, dependência emocional dos outros, sei lá. Mas você, bem no fundo, sabe o que está acontecendo dentro do seu coração! Coloque-o diante de Deus e peça a Ele para ajudá-lo e esvaziá-lo de tudo que está roubando Seu lugar como Senhor em sua vida!
Somente quando sabemos profundamente quem é Deus, podemos amá-Lo e ter um relacionamento honesto e íntimo com Ele! Peça a Ele para te mostrar quem Ele realmente é. Ele vai adorar mostrar o quanto Ele te ama e se preocupa com você! Só assim podemos amar os outros e mostrar esse amor de uma forma que o mundo nos reconheça como discípulos de Cristo!
Não é pela violência ou poder, cada transformação profunda em nós mesmos e das pessoas ao nosso redor virá pelo Espírito de Deus! Clame por este Espírito para que Ele venha e seja derramado em nossas vidas! Porque não podemos fazer isso sozinhos. Precisamos de Cristo para transformar nossa realidade e a maneira como olhamos para os outros!
Esta é a reflexão que quero deixar para você hoje: Que tipo de Bíblia o mundo está lendo quando olha para você? Eles estão vendo um Amor restaurador que perdoa pecados e cura corações ou apenas julgamento e condenação?
Queremos ser uma geração reconhecida pelo amor transbordante de Jesus, que apaga uma multidão de pecados, certo? Sim!
Vamos lutar por isso, não discutindo com os outros para provar um ponto! Vamos lutar por isso em oração, em renúncia e para viver em paz com os outros, estejam eles de acordo conosco ou não! Vamos escolher liberdade e paz em vez do direito de estarmos certo!
Oro para que Deus transforme nossos corações e nossa maneira de olhar para os outros, para que possamos amar como Ele ama! Amém.
“Deus, Tu manténs acesa minha lâmpada; o Senhor, meu Deus, ilumina minha escuridão. 29 Com tua força, posso atacar qualquer exército; com meu Deus, posso saltar qualquer muralha.
30O caminho de Deus é perfeito; as promessas[c] do Senhor sempre se cumprem; ele é escudo para todos que nele se refugiam. 31 Pois quem é Deus, senão o Senhor? “My dear children, let’s not just talk about love; let’s practice real love. This is the only way we’ll know we’re living truly, living in God’s reality. It’s also the way to shut down debilitating self-criticism, even when there is something to it. For God is greater than our worried hearts and knows more about us than we do ourselves.“
Hello dear reader!
I don’t know about you, but I have to fight back anxiety, worries and frustration almost every day. It seems like a new challenge comes up daily, to take away my focus and kidnap my mind with anxiety and worry!
Even when God already proved to me that He is in control and He is taking care of my life and future, my worried mind still wants to rob my inner peace, making me wonder about the future outcome and worry about it! It is exhausting!
I have to be intentional, daily, to drag my mind to this place of peace and trust. I have to carry my body and mind to the Presence of God and say, first to myself: Ok, so let’s remind all the things that God already did for you, because you are letting yourself to forget. I need to bring it to my mind and heart again!
If we just “let ourselves go” with no intentionality at all, the results can be catastrophic! Our flesh is constantly battling against our spirit. It is not natural to trust and have faith in things that we can’t see yet. It is not always natural to look after others more than to care to ourselves. We have to be intentional and discipline our minds and habits!
In this verse of I John 3:18-20, we have a key to take off our minds, out of our own problens and worries: When we act intentionally in love toward others! Serve others in love it is a biblical recipe so we can take our eyes out of ourselves and look kindly to others!
There were a lot of times when, by knowing others people stories and struggles, I could be not only encouraged by their testimony, but also I could be more aware that my own battles it is not that great as I used to think!
When we step into real relationships with the body of Christ, to help each other out, our problens seems to get smaller over time, first because we are not thinking about it all the time, but also because we realize that there are people out there facing even greater battles, and God remains faithfull!
So today, I just want to remind you: If you are struggling with frustration, anxiety and you are overhelmed by worries, just bring that to your mind and declare this truth over your situation:
“For God is greater than our worried hearts and knows more about us than we do ourselves. So let’s not just talk about love; let’s practice real love. This is the only way we’ll know we’re living truly, living in God’s reality!”
Let’s put LOVE into practice, because when we take care of God’s business, He is taking care of ours! We can rest on that truth! The harvest comes in proper time!
Eu não sei você, mas eu tenho que lutar todos os dias contra a ansiedade, preocupações e frustrações da vida. Parece que um novo desafio surge diariamente, para tirar meu foco e sequestrar minha mente com ansiedade e preocupação!
Mesmo quando Deus já me provou, várias vezes, que Ele está no controle e está cuidando de mim, minha mente ainda quer roubar minha paz interior, fazendo-me pensar nos possíveis resultados futuros e me preocupar com isso! É exaustivo!
Eu tenho que ser intencional, diariamente, para arrastar minha mente de volta para este lugar de paz e confiança. Tenho que levar meu corpo e minha mente até a Presença de Deus e dizer, primeiro para mim mesma: Ok, bora lembrar de todas as coisas que Deus já fez por você, porque você está se permitindo esquecer. Vamos trazer isso à mente e ao coração novamente!
Se simplesmente nos “deixarmos ir” com a situação, sem nenhuma intencionalidade, os resultados podem ser catastróficos! Nossa carne está constantemente lutando contra nosso espírito. Não é natural confiar e ter fé em coisas que ainda não podemos ver, muitas vezes não é natural se preocupar mais com os outros do que com nós mesmos. Precisamos ser intencionais e disciplinar nossas mentes e hábitos!
Neste versículo de I João 3: 18-20 , temos uma chave para tirar nossas mentes dos nossos próprios problemas e preocupações: “Quando agimos intencionalmente em amor para com os outros!“. Servir os outros, com intencionalidade e amor, é uma receita bíblica para que possamos tirar os olhos de nós mesmos e olhar com compaixão para os outros!
Houveram muitas ocasiões em que, por conhecer as histórias e lutas das outras pessoas, eu pude não apenas ser encorajada por eles, mas também pude me tornar mais consciente de que as minhas próprias batalhas não são tão grandes como eu pensava!
Quando entramos em um relacionamento verdadeiro com o corpo de Cristo, para ajudar uns aos outros, nossos problemas parecem diminuir com o tempo! Primeiro porque não estamos pensando neles o tempo todo, mas também porque percebemos que existem pessoas lá fora enfrentando batalhas ainda maiores, e Deus permanece fiel!
Então hoje, eu só quero lembrá-lo de que: Se você está lutando contra a frustração, ansiedade e está sobrecarregado por preocupações, lembre-se e declare esta verdade sobre a sua situação:
“Pois Deus émaior do que nossos corações preocupados e sabe mais sobre nós do que nós mesmos. Portanto, não apenas falemos sobre amor; vamos praticar o amor verdadeiro. Esta é a única maneira de sabermos que estamos vivendo verdadeiramente, vivendo na realidade de Deus!”
Vamos colocar o AMOR em prática, porque enquanto cuidamos das prioridades de Deus, Ele está cuidando das nossas! Podemos descansar nessa verdade!
Hey you! How are you doing?! I hope you’re doing well!
Today, during my devotional time, a passage really catch my attention, in John 16:21-24:
“When a woman gives birth, she has a hard time, there’s no getting around it. But when the baby is born, there is joy in the birth. This new life in the world wipes out memory of the pain. The sadness you have right now is similar to that pain, but the coming joy is also similar. When I see you again, you’ll be full of joy, and it will be a joy no one can rob from you. You’ll no longer be so full of questions.“
In this passage, Jesus was preparing his disciples for His death( and ressurrection!). He was warning them that would be a time of grief, dispair and they would feel lost. But after a while, they would rejoice with His ressurrection! That would bring clarity for them, a new time would begin, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit!
A lot of times, we’ll face the same situation! As believers, we have to go through painful processes! That is what makes us able to “give birth” to God promises!
It’s in during those process that we are refined! We learn to trust more in God’s provison, direction and protection to go through anything! If we were never under trials, how we would experience the faithfulness and partnership of God?
It is necessary to face some pain and uncertainty to grow in this relationship with Him and become even more mature in our FAITH!
When Jesus died, the disciples thought that it was over! They felt discouraged and they tried even to come back the their old fishermen life!
However, when they were in their way back, Jesus intercepted them! It was not the end at all, it was just a new and better beginning for them! (Luke 24:13-33)
While you are in your process, you could be experiencing pain, grief, a lack of direction or purpose. You may also be feeling like Jesus is far far away from you, but that it’s just not the case! He is right there, holding and preparing you, all along the way! Don’t give up, take heart and be brave!
It’s when we learn how to wait well, that we start to see the hand of God in every little detail of our lives! I can say that by experience! When I decided to just rest on Him, enjoying wich day as a gift, instead of just waiting for something to change, so I could reach something ahead, then I could start enjoy more and more the company of my Father!
Some days are harder than others, it’s true! None of us are completely immune from anxiety! However, when things go crazy inside our heads and the pressure becomes unberable, we can always run to Him! We can choose to rest on His Presence and let all these burdens go!
If you are feeling overhelmed lately, I encourage you to be honest with God, to begin with. Open your heart to Him, surrender everything you are carrying inside and just rest!
He will take care of you. He is the only one who can change your situation, but most important, He is the only One who can heal you, from inside out! And His touch will change everything for you, in and outside, believe me!
I declare this Word over you, no matter what you are going through: “The sadness you have right now is similar to that pain, but the coming joy is also similar. When I see you again, you’ll be full of joy, and it will be a joy no one can rob from you. You’ll no longer be so full of questions.”
Just hold on and be still during this season, your coming JOY will be even greater than your pain right now. God always finishes what He started!
Ei você! Como vão as coisas?! Espero que você esteja bem!
Hoje, durante meu tempo devocional, uma passagem realmente me chamou a atenção, em João 16: 21-24:
“Quando uma mulher dá à luz, ela tem dificuldades, não há como evitar. Mas quando o bebê nasce, há alegria no parto. Esta nova vida no mundo apaga a memória da dor. A tristeza que você tem agora é semelhante a essa dor, mas a alegria que está por vir também é semelhante. Quando eu te vir novamente, você estará cheio de alegria, e assim será, uma alegria que ninguém pode roubar de você. Você não estará mais tão cheio de perguntas. “
Nesta passagem, Jesus estava preparando seus discípulos para Sua morte (e ressurreição!). Ele estava avisando que seria um momento de tristeza, desespero e eles se sentiriam perdidos. Mas depois de um tempo, eles se regozijariam com Sua ressurreição! Isso traria clareza para eles, um novo tempo começaria com a orientação do Espírito Santo!
Muitas vezes, enfrentamos a mesma situação! Como cristãos, temos que passar por processos dolorosos! É isso que nos torna capazes de “dar à luz” as promessas de Deus!
É durante esse processo que somos refinados! Aprendemos a confiar mais na provisão, direção e proteção de Deus para passar por qualquer coisa! Se nunca estivéssemos sob provações, como experimentaríamos a fidelidade e a parceria de Deus?
É necessário enfrentar algumas dores e incertezas para crescer neste relacionamento com Ele e amadurecer ainda mais em nossa FÉ!
Quando Jesus morreu, os discípulos pensaram que tudo estava acabado! Eles se sentiram desanimados e tentaram até mesmo voltar a sua velha vida de pescadores! No entanto, quando eles estavam voltando, Jesus os interceptou! Não foi o fim de forma alguma, foi apenas um novo e melhor começo para eles! (Lucas 24: 13-33)
Enquanto você está no processo, pode estar sentindo dor, tristeza, falta de direção ou propósito, você também pode estar se sentindo como se Jesus estivesse muito longe de você, mas não é esse o caso! Ele está bem ali, te segurando e preparando você, ao longo do caminho! Não desista, anime-se e seja corajoso!
É quando aprendemos como esperar bem , que comecemos a ver a mão de Deus em cada pequeno detalhe de nossas vidas! Posso dizer isso por experiência! Quando decidi apenas descansar nEle, curtindo cada dia como um presente, ao invés de apenas esperar que algo mudasse, para que eu pudesse alcançar algo à frente, eu pude começar a desfrutar cada vez mais da companhia do meu Pai!
Alguns dias são mais difíceis do que outros, é verdade! Nenhum de nós está completamente imune à ansiedade! No entanto, quando as coisas enlouquecem dentro de nossas cabeças e a pressão se torna insuportável, podemos sempre correr para Ele! Podemos escolher descansar em Sua Presença e deixar todos esses fardos aos Seus pés!
Se você está se sentindo sobrecarregado ultimamente, eu o encorajo a ser honesto com Deus, para começar. Abra seu coração para Ele, entregue tudo o que você carrega dentro de si e apenas descanse!
Ele cuidará de você. Ele é o único que pode mudar sua situação, mas o mais importante é: Ele é o único que pode te curar, de dentro para fora! E o toque dele mudará tudo para você, dentro e fora, acredite em mim!
Eu declaro esta Palavra sobre você, não importa o que você esteja passando: “ A tristeza que você sente agora é semelhante a essa dor, mas a alegria que virá também é semelhante . Quando voltar a me ver, você ficará cheio de alegria e será uma alegria que ninguém poderá roubar de você. Você não estará mais tão cheio de perguntas.“
Apenas espere e seja firme durante esta temporada, sua alegria vindoura será ainda maior do que sua dor de agora. Deus sempre termina o que começou!
Continuing the topic about the Word of God(and declaring it in prayer), today I want to encourage you to use your bible to make a intercession prayer! (However, you can also pray this psalm in first person as well)
In times like this, when we are living under attack and deception, it is so important for us to pray(always) for our beloved ones, friends and brothers/sisters around the world who are being persecuted!( Let’s not forget the situation in Afghanistan!)
Also, since we are talking about the importance and power of the Word of God, I am sharing here a podcast, with one of my favorite Christian couples, in the whole world ( I love them=), John and Lisa Bevere.
This episode highlights the importance of reading your bible and how you can do it in a more light and effective way! Enjoy it!
“May the Lord answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. 2 May he send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion. 3 May he remember all your sacrifices and accept your burnt offerings.[b] 4 May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. 5 May we shout for joy over your victory and lift up our banners in the name of our God.

Always pray before reading the bible, invite the the Holy Spirit to be part of the reading, so He’ll give you understanding of the Word and discerniment to apply it in your life!
The bible changes us! When we are consistant, it will change our bad behaviors! The more you read it, the less you are vulnerable to make bad decisions! ( How amazing is that?!)
If you are a young believer, it is better to follow a reading plan, but you can also ask the Holy Spirit what you should read! That’s an amazing way to learn how to listen the voice of God.
The Holy Spirit makes the Word of God renewed every time, for us! Every time we read a chapter or verse, we are able to see something new or understand even better what we read before, going deeper into the meanings!
Meditate on what you read, it is a key exercise, so what you just read go deep into your heart and it change you, from inside out!
Share what you’ve learn in the Word with your family. Specially your kids! Set your own dinamics to do it, but definitely do it! Talk about it every chance you can!

Orando a Palavra! (Intercessão)
Olá, amigo!
Continuando com o tema sobre a bíblia (e orando a Palavra), hoje eu quero te encorajar a usar sua bíblia para fazer uma oração de intercessão! (Mas claro, você também pode orar este salmo na primeira pessoa).
Nos tempos em que vivemos, sob ataque e engano, é importante que oremos (sempre) por nossos entes queridos, amigos e irmãos/irmãs ao redor do mundo que estão sendo perseguidos! (Não vamos nos esquecer da situação no Afeganistão!)
Além disso, já que estamos falando sobre a importância e o poder da Palavra de Deus, estou compartilhando um podcast de um dos meus casais cristãos favoritos do mundo todo, John e Lisa Bevere, que destaca a importância de ler a sua bíblia e como você pode fazer isso de uma forma mais leve e eficaz! Sempre ore antes de ler a bíblia, convide o Espírito Santo para fazer parte da leitura, para que Ele lhe dê entendimento da Palavra e discernimento para aplicá-la em sua vida !
A Bíblia nos muda! Quando formos consistentes, esse hábito mudará nossos maus comportamentos! Quanto mais você lê, menos vulnerável você se torna a decisões erradas! (Isso não é incrível?!)
Se você é um jovem cristão(recém convertido), é melhor seguir um plano de leitura, mas você também pode perguntar ao Espírito Santo o que deve ler! Essa é uma maneira incrível de aprender a ouvir a voz de Deus.
O Espírito Santo faz com que a Palavra de Deus seja renovada todas as vezes, para nós! Cada vez que lemos um capítulo ou versículo, somos capazes de ver algo novo ou entender ainda mais o que lemos antes, nos aprofundando no significado e propósito!
Meditar no que você leu é um exercício fundamental, então o que você acabou de ler vai mais fundo no seu coração e te muda, de dentro para fora!
Compartilhe o que você aprendeu na Palavra com sua família. Especialmente com seus filhos! Defina sua própria dinâmica para fazer isso, mas definitivamente faça! Fale sobre isso sempre que puder!
A few days ago, I received this devotional, wich comes weekly and, as usualy, it spoke deeply into my heart! So I decided to share here part of it, with this reflection: Do you know how to wait?!
“True faith is never in a hurry. It knows how to wait. It trusts wholly in me and in my wisdom. Many trust in my power, but few wait to trust in my wisdom. I have a time and a plan that is beyond you, a reason for every delay...Wait patiently, fully convinced that I am in control, and your character will be refined.” ( from “I hear His Whisper” -written by Brian Simmons and Gretchen Rodriguez)
We all have plans and dreams we are hoping to live! If you are a friend and partner of God, you are hoping and waiting on Him for the fullfilment of these plans, right?!
However, this waiting must not be passive. That involves acts of faith and trust!
The Word says, in Hebrews 11, that every man and woman of God had promises in their lives and they had to believe and act in agreement with those promises!
What God expects from us it’s a partnership, that involves listen and acting in trust of His faithfulness. It is not easy, but we are called to a spiritual growth as we walk in faith.
The more we trust and act from that trust, the more our partnership with God become stronger. We learn to be more confident in what He tells us and, step by step, we leave behind our spiritual childhood!
While we wait, we need to build “faith muscles”. That means we need to put into practice what we believe and have learned in the Scriptures! We are not called to see and then, act.
Faith means that we will step forward even when we don’t see the ground under our feet. I know, it is scary sometimes! But it is also exciting and rewarding, as we grow!
The more we learn and put into action what we’ve learned, the more we overcome the insecurity, the fear of failure that used to hold us back!
Everytime God asks us to walk in faith, He empowers us to do it. He also reminds us of everytime in the past, that we trusted in Him and we were not disappointed!
I challenge you to do tthis exercise everytime you need some encouragement to act: Bring to your mind the situations when only God could help you out and He did it! He was your shield and your comfort. He’s still the same!
I know that waiting can be hard and that we feel discouraged some days, but the secret is: We do not sink in that feeling! We declare the truth over us and command our souls to praise God, to believe and keep going, even when it feels heavy!
We must not be guided by our feelings, we are called to be guided by His Words. So feed your heart and mind with it! And watch the transformation that only this spiritual food can cause inside of you.
Be perssistent! Our faith muscles need some time to grow =)
“The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see. The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd. By faith, we see the world called into existence by God’s word, what we see created by what we don’t see.” (…)
It’s impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him. (Hebrews 11: 1-2/6)
A verdadeira FÉ sabe como esperar!
Ei você!
Há alguns dias eu recebi esse devocional, que vem semanalmente e, como de costume, falou profundamente comigo! Eu resolvi compartilhar aqui parte do texto, com esta reflexão muito pertinente a todos nós: Você sabe esperar?!
“A verdadeira fé nunca está com pressa. Ela sabe como esperar. Ela confia totalmente em mim e na minha sabedoria. Muitos confiam no meu poder, mas poucos esperam confiando na minha sabedoria. Eu tenho um tempo e um plano que está além de você, uma razão para cada atraso...Espere pacientemente, totalmente convencido de que estou no controle, e seu caráter será refinado.“(retirado de “I hear His Whisper “-escrito por Brian Simmons e Gretchen Rodriguez)
Todos nós temos planos e sonhos que esperamos viver! Se você é amigo e parceiro de Deus, você está esperando Nele para a realização desses planos, certo?! No entanto, essa espera não pode ser passiva. Isso envolve atos de fé e confiança!
A Palavra diz, em Hebreus 11, que todos os homens e mulheres de Deus tinham promessas em suas vidas e eles tiveram que acreditar e agir de acordo com essas promessas!
O que Deus espera de nós é parceria, que envolve ouvir e agir confiando em Sua fidelidade. Não é fácil! Mas somos chamados ao crescimento espiritual, à medida que caminhamos em fé. Quanto mais confiamos e agimos desse lugar de confiança, mais a nossa parceria com Deus se torna forte. Aprendemos a ser mais confiantes no que Ele nos diz e, aos poucos, deixamos de ser “crianças espirituais”! (1 Coríntios 3)
Enquanto esperamos, precisamos construir esses “músculos de fé”. Isso significa que precisamos colocar em prática o que acreditamos e aprendemos nas Escrituras! Não somos chamados para ver e então agir.
Fé significa que daremos um passo à frente mesmo quando não virmos o chão sob nossos pés. Eu sei, as vezes é assustador! Mas também é empolgante e gratificante, à medida que crescemos!
Quanto mais aprendemos e colocamos em ação o que aprendemos, mais superamos a insegurança, o medo do fracasso que costumava nos segurar!
Sempre que Deus nos pede para andarmos em fé, Ele nos capacita a fazê-lo. Ele também nos lembra de todas as vezes que, no passado, confiamos Nele e não fomos desapontados!
Eu o desafio a fazer este exercício sempre que precisar de algum incentivo para agir: Traga à sua mente as situações em que somente Deus poderia te ajudar e Ele o fez! Ele foi seu escudo e conforto. Ele ainda é o mesmo!
Eu sei que esperar pode ser difícil e que nos sentimos desanimados alguns dias, mas o segredo é: Não nos afundarmos nesse sentimento! Declaramos a verdade sobre nós e mandamos nossas almas louvarem a Deus, acreditarem e seguirem em frente, mesmo quando o dia parece pesado!
Não devemos ser guiados pelos nossos sentimentos, somos chamados a ser guiados pela Palavra. Então alimente seu coração e mente com ela! E observe a transformação que somente este alimento espiritual pode causar dentro de você.
Seja persistente! Nossos músculos espirituais precisam de algum tempo para se desenvolver =)
“Ora, a fé é a certeza daquilo que esperamos e a prova das coisas que não vemos. Pois foi por meio dela que os antigos receberam bom testemunho. Pela fé entendemos que o universo foi formado pela palavra de Deus, de modo que aquilo se vê não foi feito do que é visível.” (…) Sem fé é impossível agradar a Deus, pois quem dele se aproxima precisa crer que ele existe e que recompensa aqueles que o buscam.” (Hebreus 11:1-2/6)
“When Ephraim spoke, people trembled; he was exalted in Israel. But he became guilty of Baal worship and died. Now they sin more and more; they make idols for themselves from their silver, cleverly fashioned images, all of them the work of craftsmen. It is said of these people, “They offer human sacrifices! They kiss[a] calf-idols!” Therefore they will be like the morning mist, like the early dew that disappears, like chaff swirling from a threshing floor, like smoke escaping through a window.“
Has been a while that God has spoken through His Word about the same thing, over and over again: His people went astray and wants to walk on their own way!
We are living in confusing times. Times when people are seducted by an anti-Christian culture that despises God and His Word. Even inside the church, people are worshiping their own “god”, built on their own measure, to fulfill their own needs and desires.
God is love and He is patient, I already said it here a lot of times. However, He is also Holy and He created us and all this world with a purpose. Once we choose to walk with Him, our old ways has to go!
We are called to live by His standards, not ours. A life that honors God involves repentance, renounce, a new mind and heart, that thinks, desires and lives in obedience to His Word.
We can make up our own designed religion, where we put only the things we are willing to folow and do, excluding everything that is incovenient and hard to live or, we can actually live a new way of life with Him, going deeper into His Words and instructions.
God is LOVE, but He is also a consuming FIRE! To be at His Presence, we need to choose a life of holiness, a pure and honest heart, willing to repent of our sins.
The Gospel means that we choose to turn around and let behind our old life, our old selves and follow a new way of living, renewing our minds with the Word of God. That will gives us all the light we need to step into the right direction and don’t be mistaken by the lies of this fallen culture.
In the kingdom of God, who gives more, is rich, who is “weak” in the eyes of the world is actually strong, and the last will be the first!
Jesus warned us:“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ (Mathew 7:21-22)
It is not about what it looks like in the eyes of men or, how much you accomplished in this life. It is about a close relationship with Him, that reflects in OBEDIENCE, no matter how hard (to renounce our own will) it can be!
Don’t be mistaken by a “diluted Gospel” that preaches only the part you want to hear ( like the blessings God can give you and that “He is love”). Jesus was very clear: “only those who do my Father’s will will enter the kingdom of Heaven“.
You can fake to men but you can’t fake to God, He knows your heart and intentions. Choose today to repent of a life of appearance and decide to enter into a life that involves a real and close relationship with your Father. He knows you better than anyone and He will help you to get there!
“Ephraim is finished with gods that are no-gods. From now on I’m the one who answers and satisfies him. I am like a luxuriant fruit tree. Everything you need is to be found in me.”
If you want to live well, make sure you understand all of this. If you know what’s good for you, you’ll learn this inside and out. God’s paths get you where you want to go. Right-living people walk them easily; wrong-living people are always tripping and stumbling.” (Hosea 14:8-9)
Já faz um tempo que Deus tem falado por meio da Sua Palavra sobre a mesma coisa, repetidamente: Seu povo está perdido e quer seguir o seu próprio caminho!
Estamos vivendo tempos confusos. Tempos em que as pessoas são seduzidas por uma cultura anticristã que despreza a Deus e à Sua Palavra. Mesmo dentro da igreja, as pessoas estão adorando seu próprio “deus”, construído na sua própria medida para atender às suas necessidades e desejos.
Deus é amor e Ele é paciente, eu já disse isso aqui muitas vezes. No entanto, Ele também é santo, e criou a nós e ao mundo com um propósito. Uma vez que escolhemos andar com Ele, nossos velhos caminhos e maneiras de viver têm que acabar!
Somos chamados a viver de acordo com os padrões Dele, não os nossos. Uma vida que honra a Deus envolve arrependimento, renúncia, uma nova mente e coração, que pensa, deseja e vive em obediência à Sua Palavra.
Por outro lado, nós podemos simplesmente criar nossa própria religião, onde colocamos apenas as coisas que estamos dispostos a seguir e fazer, excluindo tudo o que é inconveniente ou difícil de viver.
Deus é AMOR, mas Ele também é FOGO consumidor. Para estar na Sua Presença, precisamos escolher uma vida de santidade, um coração puro e honesto, disposto a se arrepender dos nossos pecados .
O Evangelho significa que escolhemos dar meia-volta e deixar para trás a nossa velha vida, nosso velho eu, e seguir uma nova maneira de viver. Nós renovamos nossas mentes com a Palavra de Deus, que nos dá toda a luz e instrução que precisamos para seguir na direção certa e não sermos enganados pelas mentiras desta cultura, desse mundo caído.
No reino de Deus, quem dá mais, é rico, quem é “fraco” aos olhos do mundo, é na verdade forte, e os últimos serão os primeiros!
Jesus nos avisou: “Nem todo aquele que me diz: ‘Senhor, Senhor’, entrará no Reino dos céus, mas apenas aquele que faz a vontade de meu Pai que está nos céus. 22 Muitos me dirão naquele dia: ‘Senhor, Senhor, não profetizamos em teu nome? Em teu nome não expulsamos demônios e não realizamos muitos milagres?’ 23 Então eu lhes direi claramente: Nunca os conheci. Afastem-se de mim vocês, que praticam o mal!“
Não é sobre o que parece aos olhos dos homens ou o quanto você realizou nesta vida, é sobre um relacionamento íntimo com Ele, que se reflete em OBEDIÊNCIA, não importa o quão difícil (renunciar à nossa própria vontade) possa ser!
Não se engane com um “evangelho diluído” que prega apenas a parte que você deseja ouvir (como as bênçãos que Deus pode te dar e que “Ele é amor”) . Jesus foi muito claro: “só aqueles que fizerem a vontade de meu Pai entrarão no reino dos céus“.
Você pode fingir para os homens, mas não pode fingir para Deus. Ele conhece seu coração e suas intenções. Escolha hoje se arrepender de uma vida de aparência e decidir entrar em uma vida que envolve um relacionamento real e íntimo com seu pai. Ele conhece você melhor do que ninguém e te ajudará a chegar lá!
“Efraim acabou com os deuses que não são deuses. De agora em diante, sou eu quem responde e o satisfaz. Sou como uma árvore frutífera luxuriante. Tudo que você precisa, pode ser encontrado em mim. ”
Se quiser viver bem, certifique-se de entender tudo isso. Se você sabe o que é bom para você, você aprenderá isso por dentro e por fora. Os caminhos de Deus levam você aonde você quer ir. Pessoas que vivem corretamente os seguem facilmente; pessoas que vivem no erro estão sempre tropeçando. “(Oséias 14: 8-9)

I was lost. His love found me!
