Hello dear reader! How are you doing?
The year is new but the statemnet is old: In this year I will...( you can fill it up with whatever you like.). Right?!
Even knowing that I am the kind of person who loves order and planning in my life, I hate this list of “Goals for 202X”. I can live better without it! And do you know why?
Because I already put too much preasure on myself without a goal’s list. Do you feel the same way?
I don’t think we need a list. Of course we can adjust some aspects of our lives. We can choose to look back and try our best to learn with our past mistakes and maybe try something different in some areas of our lives BUT let’s not make of it a(tough) list. Let’s be honest, near july we problably dropped all these goals already. Am I right?!
Again, look back and use your past as your teacher: You can learn to be a maturer person with your past mistakes and also with what you did right. Also, look to your past years or season with compassion!( I need to say that to me as well)
Let’s not be so harsh on ourselves, we are learning something, after all. I am not the same person I was five years ago, thank God! ( and I’m not saying it just as an expression, He really changed my life!)
It is good to have plans, things we want to improve in our lives, I am not against that, not at all. But let’s be kind and real with the things we want and can change: Let’s take one step at the time and, when things get too overhelming, let’s ask for God’s help! He is always willing to help!
So, today I just want to leave you with this thought: You don’t need a resolution list! But you can have one if this is your way to be functional, to put things in order. Just be gentle on yourself. And if you fail at some point (and you will), get up, shake the dust off and keep going!
Every new year is one more opportunity to live a plentiful life, and you don’t need to do it by yourself. We have a great friend and conselour( If you are a Christian , you already know the Holy Spirit!) let ask for help so we can walk a lighter path from now on!

Mesmo sabendo que sou o tipo de pessoa que ama ordem e planejamento na minha vida, odeio essa lista de “Metas para 202X”. Posso viver melhor sem ela! E você sabe por quê?
Porque eu já me preocupo demais sem uma lista de metas. Você se identifica?
Acho que nós não precisamos de uma lista de metas. Claro que podemos ajustar alguns aspectos da nossa vida, podemos optar por olhar para trás e tentar o nosso melhor para aprender com nossos erros e talvez começar uma estratégia diferente em algumas áreas da vida MAS, não faça uma lista (difícil), porque, sejamos honestos, em julho já teremos abandonado todas essas metas. Não é?!
Mais uma vez, olhe para trás e use seu passado como seu professor: Você pode aprender a ser uma pessoa mais madura com seus erros do passado e também com seus acertos. E ainda, olhe para seus últimos anos ou temporada com compaixão! (Preciso dizer isso para mim mesma)
Não sejamos tão duros conosco, afinal estamos aprendendo alguma coisa(né rs). Eu não sou a mesma pessoa de cinco anos atrás, graças a Deus! (e não estou dizendo isso apenas pela força da expressão, Ele realmente mudou minha vida!)
É bom ter planos, coisas que a gente quer melhorar na vida, eu não sou contra isso, de jeito nenhum. Mas sejamos gentis e verdadeiros com as coisas que queremos e podemos mudar: Vamos dar um passo de cada vez e, quando as coisas ficarem muito complicadas, vamos pedir a ajuda de Deus! Ele está realmente disposto a nos ajudar!
Então, hoje eu só quero deixar você com essa reflexão: Você não precisa de uma lista! Mas você pode ter uma se esse for o seu jeito de ser funcional, de colocar as coisas em ordem. Apenas seja gentil consigo mesmo. E se você falhar em algum momento (e você vai), levante, sacuda a poeira e dê a volta por cima!
Cada novo ano é mais uma oportunidade de viver uma vida plena, e você não precisa fazer isso sozinho. Temos um grande amigo e conselheiro (se você é cristão, já conhece o Espírito Santo!) vamos pedir a Sua ajuda para que possamos trilhar um caminho mais leve daqui para frente!

Jokes aside, I just want to encourage you to look ahead with the right perspective: If you had a tough year, remember, you got stronger through the process( even if you can’t realize it yet). And you can choose to look forward with hope, knowing that God is the One who makes all things new!
If you had a good year or you started a tough year but finished well (like me =) ,you have a lot of reasons to be thankful for, and to look forward with gratitude and keep growing! Enjoy your good time to go deeper in the things that is working now and also to improve your relationship with God and those around you!
Every day is a new day to start fresh, to be hopeful and try again, no matter if you failed yesterday. Today is another chance and you can choose to look to yourself and to the cirscumtances around you with a renewed hope!
Our strength is in the Lord and He never fails! He is a good father. Don’t forget that!

In times of confusion led by relativism, where there is no unshakeble truth anymore, just “my truth”, let us hold fast the confession of our hope, Jesus Christ, for he who promised is faithful to finish what God started in us, and to accomplish all his promises to us, His people!

Christmas can be the most magical season of the year, but it can be also a hurtful one, right?!
I don’t know how are you feeling today, if you had a great time with your family or if you are feeling lonely, facing grief, or maybe you are just sad because the year was a tough one.(What a year!)
However, I want to remember that the greatest GIFT we could ever ask for is available for all of us: God with us. The Word of God made flesh to be amog us and not only that, through Jesus’ death and ressurrection we were reconciliated with God!(And we can access this gift!)
That is a amazing news, even if you can’t comprehend it very well! No matter who you are, where you came from or what you did, the GIFT of life thorugh Jesus, the Messiah, is available to all of us!
If you are not a Christian but you feel in your heart this need you can’t explain, this hunger that nothing can fullfill, you can always reach out to Jesus and pray that He will reveal to you, personally, who he really are: The only Savior in this fallen world. The way, the truth and the life!

Não sei como você está se sentindo hoje, se você teve um bom tempo com a sua família em alegre comunhão ou se está se sentindo sozinho, enfrentando a dor do luto, ou talvez você esteja apenas triste porque o ano foi difícil.(Que ano!)
No entanto, quero te lembrar que o maior PRESENTE que poderíamos pedir está disponível para todos nós: Deus conosco! A Palavra de Deus se fez carne para estar entre nós e não apenas isso, através da morte e ressurreição de Jesus fomos reconciliados com Deus!(E podemos acessar esta dádiva!)
Essa é uma notícia incrível, mesmo que você não consiga compreendê-la muito bem! Não importa quem você é, de onde você veio ou o que você fez, o PRESENTE da vida através de Jesus, o Messias, está disponível para todos nós!
Se você não é cristão, mas sente em seu coração esta necessidade que não pode ser explicada, essa fome que nada pode saciar, você pode sempre se lançar aos pés de Jesus e orar para que Ele revele a você, pessoalmente, quem ele realmente é: O único Salvador neste mundo caído. O caminho, a verdade e a vida!

These are true promises for the sons and daughters of God! No matter what are the circumstances that surrounds us, even when all seems lost, God is our strong tower,our light and He loves to take care of His children! Our lives are made of different seasons, so we can grow!
We are not called to live in fear, we are designed to walk in true freedom!
I hope you are doing well. However, if you are not, I pray these verses helps you to reflect about what is going on into the deepest of your heart!
Our heart is full of secrets, painful memories and also, joyful ones! We can choose to look to our inner self leaning on the wisdom of God! Laying down to him all our dreams, hopes, pain and anxiety. Only then we are able to overcome the pain. He is alwayas willing to help you!( How amazing is that?!)

Nosso coração está cheio de segredos, lembranças dolorosas e também alegres! Podemos escolher olhar para o nosso eu interior apoiando-nos na sabedoria de Deus! Entregando a ele todos os nossos sonhos, esperanças, dores e ansiedades. Só assim venceremos a dor.

Have you ever felt, in (m)any situation of your life, that you were not capable of accomplishing something? That you were not good enough? That were many people out there much better to accomplish the task?
Today I want to talk about this feeling and how God usually choose people that feels unworthy and incapable to make great things. Impossible things.
In the bible, there was this guy, Gideon, who considered himself “the lowest of his clan and his clan was not one of the grestest of the tribe. At his sight even the tribe was not one the the “favorites” on people’s sight. I think that’s why God chose him to make something powerful and deliver his people from slavey. Check it out:
“The Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord, and for seven years he gave them into the hands of the Midianites. 2 Because the power of Midian was so oppressive, the Israelites prepared shelters for themselves in mountain clefts, caves and strongholds. 3 Whenever the Israelites planted their crops, the Midianites, Amalekites and other eastern peoples invaded the country. 4 They camped on the land and ruined the crops all the way to Gaza and did not spare a living thing for Israel, neither sheep nor cattle nor donkeys. 5 They came up with their livestock and their tents like swarms of locusts. It was impossible to count them or their camels; they invaded the land to ravage it. 6 Midian so impoverished the Israelites that they cried out to the Lord for help(…)
“The angel of the Lord came and sat down under the oak in Ophrah that belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, where his son Gideon was threshing wheat in a winepress to keep it from the Midianites. 12 When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.”
13 “Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us? Where are all his wonders that our ancestors told us about when they said, ‘Did not the Lord bring us up out of Egypt?’ But now the Lord has abandoned us and given us into the hand of Midian.”
14The Lord turned to him and said, “Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?”
15 “Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.”
16 The Lord answered, “I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Midianites, leaving none alive.”
God heard the cry of his people and He decided to act on their behalf. However, to remind them that He was God still, that He has always been in control, He decided to do that in God’s way: Choosing the “crazy things of this world to confuse the wise”. He picked up Gideon to show his people that they lost sight of their true God, the only One who could ever save them, the could ever change the whole picture.
Lately, we are facing the same situation around here: We lost sight of who God is and how He works. We forgot that the power and the glory are his, so God allowed “Midian” to took over his people again. And again, we are crying for help.
I believe God is raising, one more time, men and women like Gideon, who are the “lowest” of their clan, but have a heart grounded on the Word and want to see again, the miracle-wonders of God manifested among his people on earth, like it used to be in the past.
However, just like Gideon, we will need to find the warrrior that dwells inside of us, the warrior that only God can bring up to fight the most impossible but also amazing battles. I know that, sometimes we feel powerless, we feel that we can’t bring any change, but that is a lie. God is saying to you: “Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?”
He is empowering you and I to fight this battle as “one man”(or woman) force, even when it feels impossible, because God loves to make the impossible possible! He is calling you and me to be partners with him on this job.
The world is losing sight of what is right and what is real, for a long time now. It’s naïve to think that we are going to go back on track only by human terms, placing our hope in “democr4cy”. Politics, ideol0gy and even education will not fix this world. It all can help us for sure but, ultimately, it is useless tools if we are not walking with our eyes fixed on Jesus.
I believe God is raising a generation that will “change the game” not by human efforts, but by living a life that is rooted in the Word of God, wich is the measure for righteousness, compassion and truth. A life marked by holiness.
We are called for a time like this! We are not where we are by accident. There is a calling to each one of us, sons and daughters of God. However, it is important to remember, God will not share His glory with human power, He will remind us in every challenge and victory who is on the throne:
“So Jerub-baal (that is, Gideon) and his army got up early and went as far as the spring of Harod. The armies of Midian were camped north of them in the valley near the hill of Moreh. 2 The Lord said to Gideon, “You have too many warriors with you. If I let all of you fight the Midianites, the Israelites will boast to me that they saved themselves by their own strength. 3 Therefore, tell the people, ‘Whoever is timid or afraid may leave this mountain[a] and go home.’” So 22,000 of them went home, leaving only 10,000 who were willing to fight.
4But the Lord told Gideon, “There are still too many! Bring them down to the spring, and I will test them to determine who will go with you and who will not.” 5 When Gideon took his warriors down to the water, the Lord told him, “Divide the men into two groups. In one group put all those who cup water in their hands and lap it up with their tongues like dogs. In the other group put all those who kneel down and drink with their mouths in the stream.” 6 Only 300 of the men drank from their hands. All the others got down on their knees and drank with their mouths in the stream.
7 The Lord told Gideon, “With these 300 men I will rescue you and give you victory over the Midianites. Send all the others home.” 8 So Gideon collected the provisions and rams’ horns of the other warriors and sent them home. But he kept the 300 men with him.“
God will fight our batttles on his own terms. He will show us that He still do the impossible, using our weakness to show His strength! He will not disappoint us. That’s why I am chosing to look at the current situation of my country with spiritual eyes: Because when the battle seems lost, God is raising Gideons to fight with a few, against all the odds, to show the world who is the boss!
Today, just choose to look at your situation with hope, looking at the circumstances with God’s eyes: He sees a way where there is no way, because his mighty hand will make it possible! You can be part of this miracle, that only depends of a willing and contrite heart!
God is looking for the unlikely. People who are nothing on men’s sight, but have a great potential to be part of God’s chosen warriors! Don’t loose heart my friend. You never know what the future will bring on your way!

A prayer of one overwhelmed with trouble, pouring out problems before the Lord.(Psalm 102)
1 Lord, hear my prayer! Listen to my plea! 2 Don’t turn away from me in my time of distress. Bend down to listen, and answer me quickly when I call to you. 3 For my days disappear like smoke, and my bones burn like red-hot coals. 4 My heart is sick, withered like grass, and I have lost my appetite. 5 Because of my groaning, I am reduced to skin and bones. 6 I am like an owl in the desert, like a little owl in a far-off wilderness. 7 I lie awake, lonely as a solitary bird on the roof. 8 My enemies taunt me day after day. They mock and curse me. 9 I eat ashes for food. My tears run down into my drink 10 because of your anger and wrath. For you have picked me up and thrown me out. 11 My life passes as swiftly as the evening shadows. I am withering away like grass.
12 But you, O Lord, will sit on your throne forever. Your fame will endure to every generation. 13 You will arise and have mercy on Jerusalem[a]— and now is the time to pity her, now is the time you promised to help. 14 For your people love every stone in her walls and cherish even the dust in her streets. 15 Then the nations will tremble before the Lord. The kings of the earth will tremble before his glory. 16 For the Lord will rebuild Jerusalem. He will appear in his glory. 17 He will listen to the prayers of the destitute. 182my strength in midlife, cutting short my days. 24 But I cried to him, “O my God, who lives forever, don’t take my life while I am so young! 25 Long ago you laid the foundation of the earth and made the heavens with your hands. 26 They will perish, but you remain forever; they will wear out like old clothing. You will change them like a garment and discard them. 27 But you are always the same; you will live forever. 28 The children of222 your people will live in security. Their children’s children will thrive in your presence.”
Eu? Tem certeza?!
Ei, amigo! Como você está?
Você já se sentiu, em alguma (ou muitas) situação da vida, incapaz de realizar algo? Que você não era bom o suficiente? Que havia muitas pessoas ao seu redor muito melhores do que você para realizar a tarefa?
Hoje eu quero falar sobre esse sentimento e como Deus costuma escolher pessoas que se sentem indignas e incapazes, para fazer grandes coisas. Coisas impossíveis.
Na bíblia, havia esse cara, Gideão, que se considerava “o menor de seu clã” e seu clã não era um dos maiores da tribo. Aos seus olhos, nem a sua tribo (Manassés) era uma das “favoritas” aos olhos do povo. Acho que foi por isso que Deus o escolheu para fazer algo poderoso e libertar seu povo da escravidão. Olha só:
“Os israelitas fizeram o que era mau aos olhos do Senhor. Por isso, o Senhor os entregou nas mãos dos midianitas durante sete anos. 2 Os midianitas eram tão cruéis que os israelitas fizeram para si esconderijos nas montanhas, nas cavernas e nas fortalezas. 3 Sempre que os israelitas faziam o plantio, saqueadores de Midiã, de Amaleque e de outros povos do leste atacavam Israel, 4 acampavam na terra e destruíam as plantações até Gaza. Levavam ovelhas, bois e jumentos, e não deixavam coisa alguma para Israel comer. 5 Esses bandos inimigos, que vinham com seus rebanhos e tendas, eram como uma praga de gafanhotos. Chegavam em camelos, tão numerosos que era impossível contá-los, e só partiam quando a terra estava devastada. 6 Os midianitas reduziram Israel à mais absoluta pobreza, e o povo pediu socorro ao Senhor.” (…)
“Então o anjo do Senhor veio e sentou-se debaixo do grande carvalho em Ofra que pertencia a Joás, do clã de Abiezer. Gideão, filho de Joás, estava debulhando trigo no fundo de uma prensa de uvas, a fim de não ser descoberto pelos midianitas. 12O anjo do Senhor apareceu a Gideão e disse: “O Senhor está com você, guerreiro corajoso!”.
13Gideão respondeu: “Meu senhor, se o Senhor está conosco, por que nos aconteceu tudo isso? E onde estão os milagres de que nossos antepassados nos falaram? Acaso não disseram: ‘O Senhor nos tirou do Egito’? Agora, porém, o Senhor nos abandonou e nos entregou nas mãos dos midianitas!”.
14Então o Senhor se voltou para ele e disse: “Vá com a força que você tem e liberte Israel dos midianitas. Sou eu quem o envia!”.15 “Mas, Senhor, como posso libertar Israel?”, perguntou Gideão. “Meu clã é o mais fraco de toda a tribo de Manassés, e eu sou o menos importante de minha família!”
16 “Certamente estarei com você”, disse o Senhor. “E você destruirá os midianitas como se estivesse lutando contra um só homem.”
Deus ouviu o clamor de seu povo e decidiu agir em favor deles. No entanto, para lembrá-los de que Ele ainda era Deus, que Ele sempre esteve no controle, Ele decidiu fazer isso à Sua maneira: Escolhendo as “loucuras deste mundo para confundir os sábios”. Ele escolheu Gideão para mostrar ao seu povo que eles haviam perdido de vista seu verdadeiro Deus, o único que poderia salvá-los, Aquele que poderia mudar todo o cenário.
Ultimamente, estamos enfrentando a mesma situação por aqui: Perdemos de vista quem é Deus e como Ele trabalha. Esquecemos que o poder e a glória são dele, então Deus permitiu que “Midiã” tomasse conta de seu povo novamente. E mais uma vez, estamos clamando por ajuda.
Eu creio que Deus está levantando, mais uma vez, homens e mulheres como Gideão, que são os “mais baixos” de sua família, aqueles que talvez não se destaquem na sociedade, mas que têm um coração alicerçado na Palavra e querem ver, novamente, os milagres de Deus manifestados entre seu povo. Nessa terra, como já aconteceu no passado.
No entanto, assim como Gideão, precisamos encontrar o guerreiro que habita dentro de nós, o guerreiro que só Deus pode trazer à tona para lutar as batalhas mais impossíveis, mas também as mais incríveis. Eu sei que, às vezes, nos sentimos impotentes, sentimos que não podemos trazer nenhuma mudança, mas isso é mentira. Deus está dizendo a você: “Vá com a força que você tem e salve Israel das mãos de Midiã. Não estou enviando você?”
Ele está capacitando você e eu para lutarmos esta batalha com a força de “um só homem” (ou mulher), mesmo quando parece impossível. Porque Deus ama tornar o impossível possível! Ele está chamando você e eu para sermos parceiros dele neste trabalho.
O mundo está perdendo de vista o que é certo e o que é real, há muito tempo. É ingenuidade pensar que vamos voltar aos trilhos apenas em termos humanos, colocando nossa esperança na “democracia”. Política, ideologia e até educação não vão consertar este mundo. Tudo isso pode nos ajudar com certeza, mas, em última análise, são ferramentas inúteis se não estivermos andando com os olhos fixos em Jesus.
Acredito que Deus está levantando uma geração que vai “mudar o jogo” não por esforços humanos, mas vivendo uma vida que está enraizada na Palavra de Deus, que é a medida da justiça, compaixão e da verdade. Uma vida marcada pela santidade.
Somos chamados para um tempo como este! Não estamos onde estamos por acaso. Há um chamado para cada um de nós, filhos e filhas de Deus. No entanto, é importante lembrar, Deus não compartilhará Sua glória com homem nenhum. Ele nos lembrará em cada desafio e vitória quem está no trono:
“Jerubaal (isto é, Gideão) e todo o seu exército se levantaram de madrugada e acamparam junto à fonte de Harode. Os exércitos de Midiã estavam acampados ao norte deles, no vale perto da colina de Moré. 2 O Senhor disse a Gideão: “Você tem guerreiros demais. Se eu deixar todos vocês lutarem contra os midianitas, Israel se vangloriará diante de mim, dizendo que se libertou por sua própria força. 3 Portanto, diga ao povo: ‘Quem estiver com medo e assustado pode deixar este monte[a] e voltar para casa’”. Vinte e dois mil homens voltaram para casa, restando apenas dez mil.
4 O Senhor, porém, disse a Gideão: “Seu exército ainda está grande demais. Desça com eles até a fonte, e eu os provarei para determinar quem irá com você e quem não irá”. 5 Quando Gideão desceu com os guerreiros até a fonte, o Senhor lhe disse: “Separe os homens em dois grupos. Num grupo, coloque todos que bebem água das mãos, lambendo-a como fazem os cães. No outro grupo, coloque todos que se ajoelham e põem a boca na água para beber”. 6 Apenas trezentos homens beberam água das mãos; os demais se ajoelharam e puseram a boca na água.
7 O Senhor disse a Gideão: “Com estes trezentos homens eu livrarei Israel e entregarei os midianitas em suas mãos. Mande para casa os demais”. 8 Gideão ordenou que recolhessem as provisões e as trombetas de chifre de carneiro dos outros guerreiros e os mandou para casa, mas manteve consigo os trezentos homens.“
Deus lutará nossas batalhas em Seus próprios termos. Ele nos mostrará que ainda faz o impossível, usando nossa fraqueza para mostrar Sua força! Ele não vai nos decepcionar. É por isso que escolho olhar para a situação atual do meu país com olhos espirituais: ´Porque quando a batalha parece perdida, Deus está levantando Gideões para lutar com poucos, contra todas as probabilidades, para mostrar ao mundo quem é que manda!
Hoje, escolha olhar para sua situação com esperança, enxergando as circunstâncias com os olhos de Deus: Ele vê um caminho onde não há caminho, porque sua mão poderosa torna possível todas as coisas! Você pode fazer parte desse milagre, isso só depende de um coração disposto e contrito!
Deus está procurando pelos improváveis. Pessoas que não são nada aos olhos dos homens, mas que têm um grande potencial para fazer parte dos guerreiros escolhidos de Deus! Não perca o ânimo, meu amigo. Você nunca sabe o que o futuro trará até você!

Do alto olhou para a terra, 20 para ouvir o gemido dos prisioneiros, para libertar os condenados à morte. 21 Assim, o nome do Senhor será proclamado em Sião, seu louvor, em Jerusalém, 22 quando os povos se reunirem e os reinos vierem para servir ao Senhor. 23 No meio de minha vida, ele me tirou as forças e me encurtou os dias. 24 Mas eu clamei a ele: “Ó meu Deus, que vive para sempre, não tires minha vida enquanto ainda sou jovem!”. 25 Muito tempo atrás, lançaste os fundamentos da terra e com as tuas mãos formaste os céus. 26 Eles deixarão de existir, mas tu permanecerás para sempre; eles se desgastarão, como roupa velha.
