“Don’t be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest. The person who plants selfishness, ignoring the needs of others—ignoring God!—harvests a crop of weeds. All he’ll have to show for his life is weeds! But the one who plants in response to God, letting God’s Spirit do the growth work in him, harvests a crop of real life, eternal life.“
It’s been a while that God is speaking with me about being patient and perseverant to see the results I want in my life!
There is no greater law in the realm of the spirit or in earthly life: What a man plants, wheater is literally a seed or an intention, a plan, a dream; that is what he will crop! This law works for everyone!
It is an amazing parabole to understand how God works with us! Because His Words for us are like seeds! It needs to be planted in the soil of our hearts to make any difference in our lives. And, as any seed, it need to be watering, also it needs proper conditions to grow. Time is essential in the process!
That said, I want to point it out some things that we need to understand about this process in our lives:
– A life deep rooted in Christ is like gardening!
Like I said before, it is a good analogy to realize how can we grow in understanding and partership with God! Some cares are needed, also a good amount of time so we can see good results in our lives! Remember: Perseverance is key!
–We need to plant good seeds and be patient with the growing process!
Good seeds here are everything we use to feed our minds and hearts, specially the Word of God! We can choose to listen and declare good things over our future and identity, and eventually that will bring the right results. That’s why the bible says we need to renew our minds!
–It is God that makes the seed grows, not us!
However, our role it is to keep the soil clean and smooth for His seeds! The soil of our hearts must to be healthy and ready to receive good seeds! That means we need to get rid of any poisoned feelings like guilt, rage, bitterness, lack of forgiveness and anything that blocks us from growing!
Surrender all the heaviness to God, repent and make your soil clean again. The partnership with God, trusting in what only He can do, it’s what makes the seeds grow! Have faith in the love of God for you.
– Every seed needs to be watered!
The Word of God says: ““Listen! Are you thirsty for more? Come to the refreshing waters and drink. Even if you have no money, come, buy, and eat. Yes, come and buy all the wine and milk you desire— it won’t cost a thing.” Jesus is the fountain of life! All the nurturing water we need for out lives are in His Presence! Spend time listening to Him! He is all the water you need to satisfy your thirst. He is the answer for the desires of our souls!
– A life of good FRUITS requires persistance and patience! (And also a sound mind.)
Everything we plant, needs time to grow stronger! We need to be patient with our processes! The things you think and say about yourself or how you see others, will not change overnight. It is a constant process of renewing our minds: What we believe about ourselves, how we see the world must to be align with the perspective of God!
God is always teaching me about being patient, specially with myself! I am naturally driven by results and, sometimes, there is none to be seen! When I feel overhelmed, thinking about everything I did wrong, God leads me through a reflection about who I was two, three years ago and who I am becoming! That makes me feel encouraged! Because I remember all the fear and anger I used to carry inside and now, I am definitelly more confident in who I am! I can see the progress and the freedom that only Jesus could give to me!
I learned to be more aware of my thoughts and feelings as well! Because when we are distracted, it is easier to be drawing into a cicle of poisoned thoughts that makes us feel miserable!
Watch what you are thinking: If it brings accusation, comparison, frustration or anything that makes you feel traped, that does not comes from God. Cut it out on the spot, and choose to declare what God says about you!
Be patient with yourself and, definitely, with others! People need time to change and grow. If you keep planting and watering good seeds, the results will come! That’s is a unbreakble law of the universe God created.
-A good soil needs the right nutrients to grow the seed.
Like I said, we need to be careful about what we are feeding ourselves! Get rid of any source of discouragement, guilt, comparison you can get from the wrong fountains. Change the time you spend on social media for a good reading, prayer time, a good walk to breath fresh air; choose wisely your friends. Spend more time taking care of your body and mind, and watch the change happens!
The soil of our hearts needs to be smooth and health, fed with the right nutrients! Watch for any sign of growing weeds and dig it off! When we are alerts for bad seeds it’s easier to get free from it.
-Serving others it’s essential to bear good fruits!
“So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit. Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith.“
Like Galatians 6 says: If we don’t give up about doing good to others, eventually we will harvest a good crop! When we take the eyes off from our situations and look to others to offer help, we learn gratitude and the value of life!
Serving others is a great way to get rid of selfishness, a self-centered life! We are created to be a body, different parts, different backgrounds and abilities combined to write a great story, building the kingdom of God! Complementing each other.
“Can’t you see the central issue in all this? It is not what you and I do—submit to circumcision, reject circumcision. It is what God is doing, and he is creating something totally new, a free life! All who walk by this standard are the true Israel of God—his chosen people. Peace and mercy on them!“
Finally, remember: It is not about what you can do, but what God alreday did for you! Jesus won the battle over death on the cross, so we can have life in Him!
We are sons and daughters of God through Jesus, who redeemed us all. It is not about doing, but about embrace who we are created to be!
“It’s now so obvious! We’re not the children of the slave woman; we’re the supernatural sons of the freewoman—sons of grace!“
Perseverança para crescer!
“Não se deixem enganar: de Deus não se zomba. Pois o que o homem semear, isso também colherá. 8 Quem semeia para a sua carne, da carne colherá destruição; mas quem semeia para o Espírito, do Espírito colherá a vida eterna. “
Já faz um tempo que Deus tem falado comigo sobre ser paciente e perseverante para ver os resultados que eu desejo na minha vida!
Não há lei maior no reino do espírito ou na vida terrena: O que o homem planta, seja literalmente uma semente, ou uma intenção, um plano, um sonho; é isso que ele vai colher! Esta lei funciona para todos!
É uma parábola incrível para entender como Deus trabalha conosco! Porque Suas Palavras para nós são como sementes! Elas precisam ser plantadas no solo dos nossos corações para fazer diferença em nossas vidas. E, como toda semente, precisa ser regada, precisa de condições adequadas para crescer. O tempo é essencial nesse processo!
Dito isso, quero destacar algumas coisas que precisamos entender sobre o crescimento de sementes nas nossas vidas:
– Uma vida profundamente enraizada em Cristo é como jardinagem!
Como eu disse antes, é uma boa analogia para perceber como podemos crescer em compreensão e parceria com Deus! Alguns cuidados são necessários e também um bom tempo para que possamos ver bons resultados em nossas vidas! Lembre-se: a perseverança é a chave!
– Precisamos plantar boas sementes e ser pacientes com o processo de cultivo!
Boas sementes, é tudo o que usamos para alimentar nossas mentes e corações, especialmente a Palavra de Deus! Podemos escolher ouvir e declarar coisas boas sobre nosso futuro e identidade e, eventualmente, isso trará os resultados certos. É por isso que a bíblia diz que nós precisamos renovar nossas mentes!
– É Deus quem faz a semente crescer!
Sim, é Deus quem frutifica a semeste! No entanto, nosso papel é manter o solo limpo e macio para Sua ação! O solo dos nossos corações deve estar saudável e pronto para receber boas sementes! Isso significa que precisamos nos livrar de quaisquer sentimentos envenenados como culpa, raiva, amargura, falta de perdão e qualquer coisa que nos impeça de crescer!
Entregue todo o peso a Deus, arrependa-se e torne seu solo limpo novamente. A parceria com Deus, confiando no que só Ele pode fazer, é o que faz a semente crescer! Tenha fé no amor de Deus por você.
– Toda semente precisa ser regada!
A Palavra de Deus diz: ““ Ouça! Você está com sede de mais? Venha para as águas refrescantes e beba. Mesmo que você não tenha dinheiro, venha, compre e coma. Sim, venha e compre todo o vinho e leite que desejar – não vai custar nada.” Jesus é a fonte da vida! Toda a água de que precisamos para nossas vidas serem nutridas está em Sua Presença! Passe algum tempo ouvindo-o! Ele é toda a água que você precisa para matar sua sede. Ele é a resposta para os desejos de nossas almas!
– Uma vida de bons FRUTOS requer persistência e paciência! (E uma mente sã)
Tudo o que plantamos precisa de tempo para crescer e ficar mais forte! Precisamos ser pacientes com nossos processos! As coisas que você pensa e diz sobre si mesmo ou como vê os outros não mudarão da noite para o dia. É um processo constante de renovação de nossas mentes: O que acreditamos sobre nós mesmos, como vemos o mundo, deve estar alinhado com a perspectiva de Deus!
Deus está sempre me ensinando sobre ser paciente, especialmente comigo mesma! Sou naturalmente movida por resultados e, às vezes, não há nada para ver! Quando me sinto sobrecarregada, pensando em tudo que fiz de errado, Deus me conduz a uma reflexão sobre quem eu era há dois, três anos e quem eu estou me tornando! Isso me faz sentir encorajada! Porque eu me lembro de todo o medo e raiva que eu costumava suportar e, agora, eu estou muito mais confiante em quem eu sou! Eu consigo ver o progresso e a liberdade que só Jesus poderia me dar!
Aprendi a estar mais atenta aos meus pensamentos e sentimentos também! Porque quando estamos distraídos, é mais fácil cair em um ciclo de pensamentos destrutivos que nos fazem sentir miseráveis!
Observe o que você está pensando: Se isso traz acusação, comparação, frustração ou qualquer coisa que te faça sentir preso e sem esperança, isso não vem de Deus. Pare com isso imediatamente e decida declarar o que Deus diz sobre você!
Seja paciente consigo mesmo e, definitivamente, com os outros! As pessoas precisam de tempo para mudar e crescer. Se você continuar plantando e regando boas sementes, os resultados virão! Essa é uma lei inquebrável do universo que Deus criou.
-Um bom solo precisa dos nutrientes certos para fazer a semente crescer.
Como eu disse, precisamos ter cuidado com o que nós estamos nos alimentando! Livre-se de qualquer pensamento de desânimo, culpa e comparação que você esteja recebendo das fontes erradas. Mude o tempo que você gasta nas redes sociais para uma boa leitura, um momento de oração, uma caminhada para respirar ar puro; escolha sabiamente suas amizades também. Passe mais tempo cuidando do seu corpo e da sua mente, e observe a mudança acontecer!
O solo de nossos corações precisa ser suave e saudável, alimentado com os nutrientes certos! Fique atento a qualquer sinal de crescimento de ervas daninhas e desenterre-as! Quando estamos alertas às sementes ruins, é mais fácil nos livrarmos delas.
– Servir ao próximo é essencial para dar bons frutos!
“Portanto, não nos cansemos de fazer o bem. No momento certo, colheremos uma boa safra se não desistirmos ou desanimarmos. Agora, portanto, sempre que tivermos oportunidade, trabalhemos para o benefício de todos, começando pelas pessoas mais próximas na comunidade de fé. “
Como diz Gálatas 6: Se não desistirmos de fazer o bem aos outros, eventualmente teremos uma boa colheita! Quando tiramos os olhos de nossas situações e olhamos para os outros para oferecer ajuda, aprendemos a ser gratos e enxergamos o valor da vida!
Servir aos outros é uma ótima maneira de se livrar do egoísmo, de uma vida egocêntrica! Fomos criados para ser um corpo, diferentes partes, diferentes experiências e habilidades combinadas para escrever uma grande história, construindo o reino de Deus! Nos complementando mutuamente.
“Você não consegue ver a questão central em tudo isso? Não é o que você e eu fazemos – submeter-nos à circuncisão, rejeitar a circuncisão. É é o que Deus está fazendo! Ele está criando algo totalmente novo, uma vida livre! Todos os que seguem esse padrão são o verdadeiro Israel de Deus – seu povo escolhido. Paz e misericórdia esteja com eles!“
Finalmente, lembre-se: Não se trata do que você pode fazer, mas do que Deus já fez por você! Jesus venceu a batalha da morte na cruz, para que possamos ter vida Nele!
Somos filhos e filhas de Deus por meio de Cristo, que nos redimiu a todos. Não se trata de fazer, mas de abraçar quem fomos criados para ser!
