Have you ever heard about the “Hero instinct”? Well, I had never heard about it, untill yesterday.
Scrolling through a blog I found here on WordPress, I started to read this article about this hero instinct that,supposedly, every man has.
Being very briefly, that concept says that every man has this need he needs to fulfill: Be a hero in someone’s life. He needs to feel necessary, indispensable. It’s a biological drive, even more stronger than sex drive (according to the text I read).
Anyways, I read it and I thought very interesting that God could put this kind of instinct on men( If you believe, like I do, that God created mankind). Thinking about it, I concluded that it was reasonable, because God made us His image and likeness!
So, my point is: When I thought more deeply about it, I found out that the reason man has this “hero instinct” it’s because that is part of God’s character! He also wants to be our hero!
Jesus died for us, so we could have a close and direct relationship with the Father. He did it out of an incomprehensible and amazing love.
A love so deep that we need to take a while just to start to understand it and, I believe that we just reach the surface when it comes to the love of God for us.
The whole bible declares His love and how He wants to be our hero! He wants to provide for us, guide us and take care of every issue of our lives! The only thing He asks for us is TRUST.
Trust that He loves us and have a good plan for us!Trust that His path is better that our paths, His ways better than our ways!
Everything that God did, since the beginning, was to show us what He really wants: He wants a deep relationship with us, He wants to be our father, our hero!
That involves a long journey, because to have a deep relationship, we need to know Him. We need to invest time and some effort, so we can let our ways and cpncepts go and just trust that He knows best! It is not easy to believe sometimes, I know.
But the beauty of this relationship is that God is PATIENT. He knows you better than anyone and that means He already know your flaws, emotional barriers and fears. He choose to loves us anyway, even when we reject Him!
I love this patient kind of love, that respects my time to process some things, that knows that I am going to fail, that I will feel discouraged. However, no matter how I try to give excuses to keep that love away, He is always available to me, to us!
Today I just want to leave you with this reflection: More than anyone, God wants to be your hero! He wants you to know Him and admire Him for what He is.
He is love and His arms are always open for us, no matter what we did or think about Him. He is kind and patient and He will teach us, who He trully is and how we must love! We just need to trust Him.

O Instinto heroico
Olá amigos! Como vocês estão?
Vocês já ouviram falar sobre “Instinto de herói”? Bem, eu nunca tinha ouvido falar disso, até ontem.
Percorrendo um blog que encontrei aqui no WordPress, comecei a ler este artigo sobre esse “instinto de herói” que, supostamente, todo homem tem.
Sendo bem breve, esse conceito diz que todo homem tem essa necessidade que precisa satisfazer, de ser um “herói” na vida de alguém. Ele precisa se sentir necessário, indispensável. É um impulso biológico, ainda mais forte do que o desejo sexual (de acordo com o texto que li).
De qualquer forma, eu li e achei muito interessante que Deus pudesse colocar esse tipo de instinto nos homens (se você acredita, como eu, que Deus criou a humanidade). Pensando nisso, concluí que era razoável, pois Deus nos fez a Sua imagem e semelhança!
Então, meu ponto é: Quando eu pensei mais profundamente sobre isso, descobri que a razão do homem ter esse “instinto de herói” é porque isso faz parte do caráter de Deus! Ele também quer ser nosso herói!
Jesus morreu por nós, para que pudéssemos ter um relacionamento próximo e direto com o Pai. Ele fez isso por amor, um amor incompreensível e surpreendente.
Um amor tão profundo que precisamos de um certo tempo para começar a entendê-lo e, acredito que chegamos apenas à superfície, quando se trata de entender o amor de Deus por nós.
A bíblia inteira declara Seu amor e como Ele quer ser nosso herói! (ou salvador, se você preferir). Ele quer nos sustentar, nos guiar e cuidar de todas as questões de nossas vidas! A única coisa que Ele pede de nós é CONFIANÇA.
Confiar que Ele nos ama e tem um bom plano para nós! Confiar que Seu caminho é melhor do que os nossos, Seus meios são melhores do que os nossos!
Tudo o que Deus fez, desde o início, foi para nos mostrar o que Ele realmente deseja: Ele deseja um relacionamento profundo conosco, Ele deseja ser nosso pai, nosso herói!
Isso envolve uma longa jornada, porque para ter um relacionamento profundo, precisamos conhecê-Lo. Precisamos investir tempo e algum esforço, para que sejamos capazes de deixar nossos caminhos e conceitos de lado e apenas confiar que Ele sabe o que é melhor! Não é fácil acreditar às vezes, eu sei.
Mas a beleza desse relacionamento é que Deus é PACIENTE. Ele conhece você melhor do que ninguém e isso significa que Ele já conhece suas falhas, barreiras emocionais e medos. Ele escolheu nos amar independente de qualquer coisa, mesmo quando o rejeitamos!
Eu amo esse amor paciente, que respeita meu tempo para processar algumas coisas, que sabe que vou falhar, que vou me sentir desanimada as vezes. No entanto, não importa o quanto eu tente dar desculpas para afastar esse amor, Ele está sempre disponível para mim, para nós!
Hoje eu só quero deixar vocês com esta reflexão: Mais do que qualquer um, Deus quer ser seu herói! Ele quer que você o conheça e o admire pelo que Ele é .
Ele é amor e Seus braços estão sempre abertos para nós, não importa o que fizemos ou pensamos sobre Ele. Ele é gentil e paciente e nos ensinará quem Ele realmente é e como devemos amá-lo. Só precisamos confiar Nele.
