The power of ‘waiting’!

Then Jesus went to work on his disciples. “Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You’re not in the driver’s seat; I am. Don’t run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I’ll show you how. Self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to finding yourself, your true self. What kind of deal is it to get everything you want but lose yourself? What could you ever trade your soul for?”
Matthew 16:24‭-‬26 MSG

Hey friends! How are you doing?

I don’t know about you but I love this time of the year! I love this feeling that precedes Christmas, the atmosphere and all the lights in the city. I just love it!

Anyways, today I want to share with you about the waiting process! Just a quick insight!

Today I was fasting during the morning and,(since I was very hungry lol) I started to think about how the waiting process can make things more special and our hearts more grateful!

Really, even though I was just going through my fasting (and my stomach was longing for food), that made me realize: Because I was facing a period without food, when the moment of eating arrived, that would be more precious to me and I would feel more GRATEFUL for it!

Think about it: None of us like to waiting for something for too long, but when we wait, we are not only learning to be PATIENT and trusting in the Lord, but we are also being prepared to receive in a way that pleases the Lord: With GRATITUTE!

No matter what are you waiting for or how long, remember that the whole process matters to God and He is working in your heart!

Remember to be grateful for everything that He already gave you and for every time He took care of you, instead of just think about what you don’t have or haven’t accomplish yet!

God is faithful and He will finish the good work He started in everyone of us! We just need to stand still and give Him praise in every situation!

Be strong and corageous! Face one day at the time, remembering that His power is made greater in our weaknesses!

Have a nice week!

“What a beautiful thing, God , to give thanks, to sing an anthem to you, the High God! To announce your love each daybreak, sing your faithful presence all through the night, Accompanied by dulcimer and harp, the full-bodied music of strings. You made me so happy, God . I saw your work and I shouted for joy. How magnificent your work, God ! How profound your thoughts! Dullards never notice what you do; fools never do get it. When the wicked popped up like weeds and all the evil men and women took over, You mowed them down, finished them off once and for all. You, God , are High and Eternal. Look at your enemies, God! Look at your enemies—ruined! Scattered to the winds, all those hirelings of evil! But you’ve made me strong as a charging bison, you’ve honored me with a festive parade. The sight of my critics going down is still fresh, the rout of my malicious detractors. My ears are filled with the sounds of promise: “Good people will prosper like palm trees, Grow tall like Lebanon cedars; transplanted to God ’s courtyard, They’ll grow tall in the presence of God, lithe and green, virile still in old age.” Such witnesses to upright God! My Mountain, my huge, holy Mountain!”
Psalm 92:1‭-‬15 MSG
