Have you ever felt paralyzed by fear and doubt? Well, I have.
Since the beginning of my journey, I had to experience a lot of situation where I felt overhelmed by fear!! That made me wander: Is this really my calling? Why should I keep going if it is not working?
How many times you doubted of yourself? How many times did you let the fear take control and just gave up?
I recently discovered, the root of (probably) every problem I had with fear, doubt and discouragement: Spirit of intimidation!
I had never heard about this before, untill I attended a great course called “Breaking intimidation” by John Bevere! Through this course, wich is also a amazing and very deep book, John shares with us what is intimidation and what it causes in our lives: We lose our place of authority!
“The spirit of intimidation triggers confusion, discouragement and frustration. Your goal is to make you lose the right perspective. Everything will seem overwhelming, difficult or even impossible. The stronger the intimidation, the greater the discouragement and hopelessness. If intimidation is not confronted immediately, it will cause you to do things you would never do if you were not under its influence. This is exactly the aim of intimidation.” (from the book Breaking intimidation, by John Bevere)
Like I said, before I knew it, I experienced a lot of intimidation in my life and I can’t count how many times I surrended to fear!
I remenber a lot of situations when God spoke through me, by prayer or testimony but even though I kept thinking it wasn’t right, that I was not able to do what God was telling me to do. Doubts just flooded my mind.
I feared rejection, I continuely questioned myself and, even when God proved to me that He was in control, guiding me to speak or to do something, I still felt insecure! And the reason I faced it was because I let people’s words and opinions about me plant a seed of intimidation!
One great thing that I learned by experience was: The enemy will always use people around you and their words to attack what God has promised to your life, to attack your calling!
God said you gonna be a great teacher? So the enemy will whisper in your head that you are not good enough, that you are able to do it. He will also use people to tell you that you don’t have the skills, the patience, the gift and so on.
I remember a lot of times when people attacked me in specific areas that God had told me He’d made me able to bless others! And through this, the enemy planted intimidation in my mind!
Look at what happens to Moses before he ran alway from the Egypt, in Exodus 2 11-14:
” One day, after Moses had grown up, he went out to where his own people were and watched them at their hard labor. He saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his own people. 12 Looking this way and that and seeing no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. 13 The next day he went out and saw two Hebrews fighting. He asked the one in the wrong, “Why are you hitting your fellow Hebrew?”
14 The man said, “Who made you ruler and judge over us? Are you thinking of killing me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid and thought, “What I did must have become known.”
Isn’t interesting that this random hebrew just attacked Moses using specificly what God, many years later, would called him to do? Be a leader, to rule and judge over the hebrew people! That was definetely not said by mistake, cause when God calls Moses to go back, the first thing He said was: “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”
When we believe in lies said by the enemy about our identity, we gave up the authority that God gave us, as His sons and daughters, to use in a specific calling in our lives.
We do that because we are too afraid to face our accusers, we avoid confront and we fear failure.When it happens, we already are intimidated by this spirit, that paralyze us with fear, doubt and discouragement.
However, we don’t have to keep allowing this spirit to affect our purpose anymore!
Ask the Holy Spirit what or who is intimidating you, what is stopping you from living the fulness of God’s calling to your life! You need to go deep in the root of it, to overcome intimidation, once for all!
We are called to walk in freedom, cause our Father gaves us a spirit of power, love and a sound mind! The mind of Christ, to think and act like Jesus; guided by His perfect will and protected by His love.
I’ll give you a cool advice to discover what God really called you to do! Use the enemy’s words in your favor, make hm work for you! Whatever he says to you, consider the opposite and write it down, as a clue to your calling! It works really well =)
I want to finish it by praying for you!
Father, I thank you cause you chose us to walk in freedom and to free others by the power of your Word! I declare over your sons and daughter a spirit of power,love and a sound mind to walk in boldness, free from all intimidation in their lives! Set our minds free and renew us, open our spiritual eyes to see what is taking us back, help us to gave up of it, to repent and replace this spirit for your promises in our lives. In Jesus name, amen.

Você já se sentiu paralisado pelo medo e pela dúvida? Bem, eu já!
Desde o início da minha jornada, tive que enfrentar muitas situações em que me senti dominada pelo medo e isso me fez questionar: Será que esse é realmente o meu chamado? Por que eu devo continuar se não tá funcionando?
Quantas vezes você duvidou de si mesmo? Quantas vezes você deixou o medo assumir o controle e desistiu?
Recentemente, eu descobri a raiz de ,provavelmente, todos os problemas que eu tive com medo, dúvida e desânimo: espírito de intimidação!
Eu nunca tinha ouvido falar sobre isso antes, até eu fazer um curso sensacional chamado “Quebrando a intimidação” do John Bevere! Através deste curso, que também é um livro incrível, John compartilha conosco o que é a intimidação e o que isso causa na nossa vida: Nós perdemos nosso lugar de autoridade!
“O espírito de intimidação provoca confusão, desânimo e frustração. Seu objetivo é fazer com que você perca a perspectiva correta. Tudo parecerá avassalador, difícil ou até impossível. Quanto mais forte a intimidação, maior o desânimo e a desesperança. Se a intimidação não for confrontada imediatamente, isso fará com que você faça coisas que nunca faria se não estivesse sob sua influência. Esse é exatamente o objetivo da intimidação. “ (do livro Breaking intimidation, de John Bevere)
Como eu disse, antes de descobrir disso, eu me rendi a muita intimidação ao longo da minha vida e nem posso enumerar quantas vezes eu me rendi ao medo!
Lembro-me de muitas situações em que Deus falou através de mim, por oração ou testemunho, mas mesmo assim eu continuei pensando que algo não estava certo, que eu não era capaz de fazer o que Deus estava me dizendo para fazer. As dúvidas inundaram a minha mente.
Eu sempre temi rejeição e me questionei muitas vezes! E, mesmo quando Deus me provou que Ele estava no controle, me guiando a falar ou fazer alguma coisa, eu me senti insegura! E a razão pela qual enfrentei isso, foi porque eu deixei que as palavras e opiniões das pessoas sobre mim plantassem uma semente de intimidação no meu coração!
Uma coisa muito importante que aprendi ao longo dessa experiência foi: O inimigo sempre usará as pessoas ao seu redor e suas palavras para atacar o que Deus prometeu a você, para atacar seu chamado!
Deus disse que você será um ótimo professor,escritor ou talvez um evangelista? Então o inimigo sussurrará em sua cabeça que você não é bom o suficiente, que você não é capaz. Ele também usará as pessoas para lhe dizer que você não tem as habilidades, a paciência, o dom e assim por diante.
Lembro-me de muitas vezes em que as pessoas me atacaram em áreas específicas, áreas que Deus havia me dito que me capacitaria para abençoar os outros! E através disso, o inimigo foi colocando intimidação na minha mente!
Veja o que acontece com Moisés, antes de ele fugir do Egito, em Êxodo 2 11-14:
“Certo dia, sendo Moisés já adulto, foi ao lugar onde estavam os seus irmãos hebreus e descobriu como era pesado o trabalho que realizavam. Viu também um egípcio espancar um dos hebreus.
Correu o olhar por todos os lados e, não vendo ninguém, matou o egípcio e o escondeu na areia.
No dia seguinte saiu e viu dois hebreus brigando. Então perguntou ao agressor: “Por que você está espancando o seu companheiro? “
O homem respondeu: “Quem o nomeou líder e juiz sobre nós? Quer matar-me como matou o egípcio? ” Moisés teve medo e pensou: “Com certeza tudo já foi descoberto! “
Não é interessante que esse hebreu, “do nada” tenha atacado Moisés usando especificamente o que Deus, muitos anos depois, o chamou para fazer? Ser um líder, para governar e julgar o povo hebreu!
Definitivamente, isso não foi dito por acaso, porque quando Deus chama Moisés para voltar ao Egito, a primeira coisa que ele fala é: “Quem sou eu para ir ao Faraó e tirar os israelitas do Egito?”
Quando acreditamos nas mentiras ditas pelo inimigo sobre nossa identidade, renunciamos à autoridade que Deus nos deu, como Seus filhos e filhas, para exercer um chamado específico em nossas vidas.
Fazemos isso porque temos muito medo de enfrentar nossos acusadores, evitamos confrontos e tememos o fracasso. Quando isso acontece, já estamos intimidados por esse espírito, que nos paralisa com medo, dúvida e desânimo.
No entanto, não precisamos continuar permitindo que esse espírito continue a afetar nosso propósito!
Pergunte ao Espírito Santo: O que ou quem está me intimidando, o que está me impedindo de viver a plenitude do chamado de Deus para minha vida?! Você precisa se aprofundar na raiz disso, para superar a intimidação de uma vez por todas!
Somos chamados a andar em liberdade, porque nosso Pai nos deu um espírito de poder, amor e uma mente sã! A mente de Cristo, para pensar e agir com clareza; guiados por Sua perfeita vontade e protegidos por Seu amor.
Vou te dar um conselho bem legal para descobrir o que Deus realmente te chamou para fazer: Use as palavras do inimigo a seu favor, faça ele trabalhar pra você! Tudo o que ele te disser, considere o contrário e anote isso, como uma pista para o seu chamado! Funciona muito bem =)

Pai, obrigado porque o Senhor nos escolheu para andar em liberdade e libertar outros pelo poder da sua Palavra! Eu declaro sobre seus filhos e filhas, um Espírito de poder, amor e uma mente sã para andar com ousadia, livres de toda intimidação em suas vidas! Liberte nossas mentes e renove-nos com a Sua Palavra; abra nossos olhos espirituais para ver o que está nos segurando, ajude-nos a abrir mão disso, nos arrepender e substituir esse espírito pelas suas promessas em nossas vidas. Em nome de Jesus, amém.
