Books that have changed my life!

Hey there!

Today I want to share some great books, that helped me to better unders.tand important things that I was struggling with in my life!

Those books really changed my view about christianity, life and God!

However, I have to tell you, there are some amazing books that will not seems so amazing if you are not ready to read it!

I am saying that,because, I already tried to read some christian/ spiritual books and I was not in the right moment to do it!

So I think it’s important to understand where you are in your journey with God, wich are your doubts and what do you want to achieve!

However, I’ll try to share only books I think anyone can read, anytime! And I hope you can grow in understanding and intimacy with God!

Let’s move on to my “literary tips”:

1. The Shack

This book really got me! I usually don’t get much interest in best sellers, I don’t know why, but I always become wary when a book,or a movie or whatever becomes a “fever”.

However, “The shack” really goes deeper in fundamental questions that we all have, specially, when we are facing a hard time in our lives!

Moreover, the way the author presents God to us it’s really amazing! I really believe in this kind, patient, and loving father that goes through all the story!

I definitely recomend this one if you, sometimes, struggle to understand the love of God for you(or how can he be a loving God!).

2.The ragamuffin gospel.

If you, even knowing God and the gospel, sometimes feel broken, lost, inappropriate and you think you will never be able to achieve all that “christians expectations” in your church,family or relationship, this book is for you!

It’s like a refreshing confort hug to your tired body, mind and soul.

The author goes deeper in the grace of God, breaking the paradigmas that makes us think that we must be perfect to follow Christ or achieve His purpose for us!

3. Crazy Love.

Sometimes, as a christian, do you feel like something is wrong with your life, your relationships and even with your church?!

The author’s question in this book is: How deep is our relationship with this amazing God, who created everything?

He is just another appointment in our schedule or the center of our life?

Francis Chan takes us to a deep reflection about who is God in our lives and why sometimes we feel like this “christian lifestyle” it’s not enough to fill our hearts and minds.

What can we do about it?

4. Is that really you, God?

This biographic book tells us the history of Loren Cunningham, the founder of YWAM.

What really caught me in this amazing journey is how the author walk through a learning process of trust in God ,in every step on the way and, how to listen to His voice!

This book brings us passion and adventure but also, the struggle of learning how to walk under Gods will and how we can grow with our faliers!

Loren Cunningham is such a inspiring man of God, anyone should know his history!

5. The practice of the presence of God

What if you could constantly talk to God and learn how to listen His Voice in every moment of your day?

This amazing book show us a true experience of a simple man who discover that he could carry the presence of God in every minute of his day!

By a “simple” exercise of thinking about God and talk to Him all day long, brother Lawrence show us how our lives can change and flow in ways we can’t imagine, just by the practice of keep God in your mind and talk to Him all the time!

I was, particularly, prompted by this book, it is a long term process but, it can definitely be done and really changes your perspective of things!

6. This present darkness(I and II)

I just loved this story! It is a christian fiction with a lot of amazing apiritual insights and crazy adventures of “real life”. But what really got me on this book is how it made me able to picture the real spiritual battle behind our natural world and how our prayers can be POWERFUL to change the course of our lives and society as a whole.

Every christian should ready these books!

7.Girls with swords!

Incredible book by Lisa Bevere that addresses us the need to know the Word of God in fullness and learn how to use the sword of the Spirit with authority and WISDOM, as Paul advises us in Ephesians 6.

As daughters of the King, we should not walk around this battle disarmed!

(Livros que mudaram a minha vida!)

Olá!

Hoje eu quero compartilhar alguns grandes livros que, me ajudaram a entender melhor algumas coisas com as quais eu estava lutando na minha vida!

Esses livros realmente mudaram minha visão sobre o cristianismo, a vida e Deus!

No entanto, eu tenho que te dizer, existem alguns livros incríveis que não parece tão incrível se você não estiver pronto para lê-lo!

Eu estou dizendo isso, porque, eu já tentei ler alguns livros cristãos / espirituais e, simplesmente não consegui terminar porque eu não estava no momento certo para fazer isso!

Então, eu acho importante entender onde você está em sua jornada com Deus, quais são suas dúvidas e o que você quer alcançar!

No entanto, vou tentar compartilhar apenas livros que eu acho que qualquer um pode ler, a qualquer hora!

Eu espero que você possa crescer em compreensão e intimidade com Deus!

Vamos para as “dicas”:

1. A cabana:

Esse livro realmente me pegou!

Geralmente,eu não me interesso muito por best sellers! Não sei por quê, mas sempre fico meio desconfiada quando um livro, um filme ou qualquer outra coisa se torna uma “febre”.

No entanto, “A cabana” realmente vai fundo em questões fundamentais que, todos nós temos, especialmente, quando estamos enfrentando um momento difícil em nossas vidas!

Além disso, a maneira como o autor apresenta Deus para nós é realmente incrível! Eu realmente acredito neste Deus paternal, paciente e amoroso que se apresenta ao longo de toda a história!

Eu definitivamente recomendo este livro se você, às vezes, se esforça para entender o amor de Deus por você (ou questiona: como ele pode ser um Deus amoroso?!).

2. O evangelho maltrapilho.

Se você, mesmo conhecendo a Deus e o evangelho, às vezes se sente quebrado, perdido, inadequado e você acha que nunca será capaz de alcançar todas as “expectativas” dos cristãos em sua igreja, família ou relacionamento, este livro é para você!

É como um refrescante e reconfortante sopro sobre seu corpo, mente e alma.

O autor vai mais fundo na graça de Deus, quebrando os paradigmas que nos fazem pensar que, devemos ser perfeitos para seguir a Cristo ou alcançar o Seu propósito para nós!

3. Louco amor

Às vezes, como cristão, você sente que algo está errado com sua vida, seus relacionamentos e até mesmo com sua igreja?

O autor questiona o seguinte, neste livro : Quão profunda é nossa relação com esse incrível Deus que criou tudo?

Ele é apenas mais um compromisso na nossa agenda ou no centro da nossa vida?

Francis Chan nos leva a uma reflexão profunda sobre quem é Deus, que lugar ele ocupa em nossas vidas e, por que, às vezes, sentimos que esse “estilo de vida cristão”, não é suficiente para encher nossos corações e mentes.

O que podemos fazer sobre isso?

4. Fala Senhor, estou ouvindo!

Este livro autobiográfico nos conta a história de Loren Cunningham, o fundador da JOCUM.

O que realmente me encantou nessa incrível jornada foi, como o autor percorre um(longo) processo para aprender a confiar em Deus em cada passo do caminho e,como escutar Sua voz!

Este livro nos traz paixão e aventura, mas também a luta para aprender a andar sob a vontade de Deus e como podemos crescer com nossos erros!

Loren Cunningham é um homem de Deus tão inspirador, que qualquer um deveria conhecer sua história!

5. Praticando a presença de Deus

E se você pudesse conversar constantemente com Deus e aprender a ouvir a Sua voz em todos os momentos do seu dia?

Este livro surpreendente, nos mostra uma verdadeira experiência de dois homens simples que descobrem que podem levar a presença de Deus em cada minuto do seu dia! Através de um exercício “simples” de pensar em Deus e falar com ele o dia todo, o irmão Lawrence nos mostra como nossas vidas podem mudar e fluir de maneiras que não podemos imaginar, apenas pela prática de manter Deus em mente e conversar com Ele o tempo todo!

Frank Laubach compartilha da mesma experiência,porém, em um momento e lugar, completamente diferente da história!

Eu fui particularmente instigada por esse livro, é um processo de longo prazo mas que, definitivamente,pode ser feito!

6.Este mundo tenebroso( I e II)

Este é um livro de ficção cristã que oferece muita aventura e insights espirituais! Eu amei essa saga.

Este livro nos mostra a guerra espiritual que rola nos bastidores do nosso mundo natural e como a ORAÇÃO tem um poder sobrenatural de mudar o rumo dos acontecimentos!

Acho que todo cristão deveria ler esse livro!

7.O falar em línguas

Esse livro do Luciano Subirá mudou completamente o meu olhar sobre a prática da oração em línguas. Quando nós entendemos,como cristãos, o poder dessa ferramenta na nossa vida espiritual e o colocamos em prática, entramos em um novo nível de maturidade e conquista espíritual. Recomendadíssimo!!!

8.Mulheres com espadas!

Livro incrível da Lisa Bevere que aborda a necessidade que temos de conhecer a Palavra de Deus em plenitude e aprender a usar com autoridade e SABEDORIA a espada do Espírito, como Paulo nos aconselha em Efésios 6.

Como filhas do Rei, não deveríamos andar por aí,em meio à batalha, desarmadas!
